I placed a phone order with Directron on April 17th for a customer custom machine with Home Edition XP. The gentleman with whom I placed the order was, without doubt well versed in computers and knowledgeable of each and every component. At the completion of the order, he merely stated that the motherboard ordered was capable of supporting significantly higher rated components than I selected. I certainly appreciated his comment and took no offense but merely mentioned my requirements for a replacement machine were rather minimal.
Although the representative stated it may be seven to ten days before I receive the machine, it was delivered, unscathed the following Thursday.
Although there were some minor problems initially trying to contact Directron to place the order, when I was able to make contact, I had a very poor connection and their representative graciously agreed to return my call. Without doubt, I am extremely well pleased with the service from Directron and will gladly do business with them in the future.

This merchants service far below satisfactory.
1) After ordering an item from them on May 15 I received a telephone call on May 16th stating the order was 'on hold' and I needed to register my ship to with the credit card issuer.AT no time during the order process was I informed that this would be the case.
2) rather than do this I called them on May 16th and cancelled the order
3) The customer service rep I spoke with said I would receive an e-mail confirmation of the cancellation, which I did not receive
4) I had to call AGAIN on may 18th and spoke with a representative who told me the ORDER WASN'T CANCELLED. I then told him to cancel the order AGAIN and received an e-mail confirmation
5) On the 20th of May, I noted the 'HELD ORDER' had been charged to my credit card.
%)If you do not see the problem with situation then go ahead and order from these turkeys, you get what you deserve

I purchase from this store often. Their prices are usually very good, often the lowest I can find. I've only had positive experiences with their customer service. Shipping is great. Not only is it quite reasonable but they will ship to commercial addresses at a slightly reduced rate. So I get everything shipped to my work and save even more.
Keep up the great work Directron.

I am absolutely impressed with Directron. I rarely take the time to write reviews, but this is downright impressive.
I ordered an antec 1200 (full tower PC case) from them, and it was quickly shipped - to the wrong address. Getting this resolved was very quick and relatively painless. Today they have reshipped the order - and not at my expense.
A previous order I put the order total in my comments as I was using a faster shipping. I included 'contact me if price changes'. I then went on to modify my order, but forgot to change the total in the comments.
The next day I got a friendly phone call asking me if the new total was alright. They were not upset at my mistake. (They also woke me up for an appointment I forgot. LOL)
This company absolutely stands behind their customers, their support is top notch, and they are paying attention to each and every order. Order without any worry.

1st time ordering from Directron and im looking forward to my next order! everything was great! an excellent website with Good Prices, Low Shipping Costs, and if you like treasure hunting, just keep poking around cause there are some more ways to save some $$$ on their site. Customer service was good - one of my items was not double boxed, but they took care of the refund with no hassle - as it should be!

First time ordering through Directron. I had a wonderful experience with them. They were very quick to call when I had made an error in my order. They then processed it very quickly for shipping. I will definitely recommend Directron to my friends.

This was my first time ordering from Directron. UPS returned the motherboard after 3 failed delivery attempts (no 5-day hold for pickup). I was charged for roundtrip shipping for an item I did not receive.

This is the second time I have ordered from Directron.com in the past month. I have ordered from them 4 times in the past 2 years. I think they are AWESOME and their customer support can not be beat. UPDATE:
Directron responded and I was able to get a prepaid RMA label and a full refund within a week. All worries eased, Directron appears to be a reputable company to order from. :)
PREVIOUS REVIEW:
First time ordering with them, I ordered several items for a new computer build. A couple of weeks later, as I was looking at my psu retail box at a glance, I discover that the it lists only one 12v rail, instead of the advertised Quad rails on the site! That was the reason I bought that PSU in the first place.
I also checked the sticker on the PSU unit and it also says 1 rail. Directron's site says 4 rails. What's going on?
This made me realize that the item I was sent, while having the same model number is a discontinued version of the product. Hmmmm....
That was enough to send the warning flags into the air. The last thing I want is to spend my money on supposedly brand new hardware, only to receive a discontinued and not up to advertised specs version of the product.
I filed a discrepancy report with Directron's site to get a replacement item. Even now, I'm worried if I'll have any success contacting them...
Their email address for filing discrepancies apparently rejected my email. I was not able to contact discrepancy@directron.us .

The following was my experience with directron; I bought the item online from their store, they shipped it and provided me with the UPS Tracking #, and I received it four days after the date of purchase. I had no problems. This is my first time buying from them, it was a good first impression and will recommend them to anyone who wants a good deal and great service. I placed an order on 04/04/09 and received after few days. Unfortunately, the order was defective out of the box. I called Directron.com and requested replacement. Their representative recommended me to place a new order and their will refund when their received the defective one. However, instead of issuing full refund for the defective, they issued refund partially (minus the shipping charge). It means I have to pay: (1)to ship the defective to me, and (2) to return the defective to them, and (3) to ship the replacement to me. TRIPPLE SHIPPING CHARGES IF THE ORDER IS DEFECTIVE. WATCH OUT!
I called them. Their customer service is rude and unreasonable. I agree that a product defective is not their fault. However, like other online stores, customer won't pay any shipping fee for the defective item, or, at worst, pay shipping fee to return, not paying both.
I agree that directron.com sells products with good price. However, when dealing with customer service, they are lack of profession comparing to others such as newegg, amazon.
If you decide to buy from directron, you should watch out, especially like my situation.
UPDATE: 3 days after this review, a Directron rep called me and apologized for their mistake of charging the shipping fee of the defective. They said they acknowledged the review I put at RESELLERRATINGS.com. To satisfy me, they promised to refund the outsending and the returned shipping charge of the defective one. Honestly, I dont care how much they will refund because things already happened. However, I add this note to my review as the pursuit of truth.
