These guys are just terrible. I tried to file an RMA for a defective product, got one email reply back with someone who tried to troubleshoot the problem, and NEVER got a response back afterward. Basically, these guys just abandoned one of their customers looking to return a product. Great way to treat the people who keep you in business. Also, their return policy is pretty horrible: 15% restocking fee plus you have to pay for your own shipping even when the product is defective. This is precisely why I stick with the big name retailers like Newegg or Amazon and why you should too. Never again will I purchase from CrazyPC.

Our apologies for any error on our part. After review of our records we show no communication following our initial reply. However, there is no problem returning items within our warranty period.
Our restock fees are standard for the industry, and in many cases we reduce them or charge none at all. Customer service is very important to us and we will correct the issue given a chance. |

Did not honor a 10% coupon that they offered for a Halloween special. All the coupon said was to enter in CPCSCARY at checkout, no mention that it only applies to specific products. I made the order paid with paypal, then get a e-mail saying the coupon is not valid on Lian Li cases. They offered me a 5% discount, but something seemed sketchy. They provided me a link to a webpage that disclosed the details about the coupon, and I checked to see when the webpage was created/updated and it was the same day they sent me the e-mail.. go figure.
The live chat function is useless, I tried asking them a question regarding the shipping price and never got a response, I tried 3 different times on 1 day, and about 2 other times the following day and finally just gave up and ordered anyways.
I am not happy with the service they provided but they did give me a prompt refund. Overall I would rate them a 3 out of 10 from my personal experience.

We apologized for the problem, but we weren't able to honor this coupon as Lian-Li cases were excluded. We did not change language on the coupon restrictions. The restrictions listed are identical to all of our discount coupons. We stand by our coupons, and the published restrictions do apply. As for live help, it's only available during store hours. We did not receive any emails. |

I got a reply from them and they wanted me to fax or mail them the front and BACK of my credit card. Then they wanted government ID(a passport was an example from them) before they would allow a purchase. I am from Canada! They acted like you cannot verify a Canadian card! I buy tonnes of stuff online. Then, when I phoned them, they said "Oh, well I'll think about it over night" Hmm.. what kind of business gives an answer like that? BTW, he didn't think about it over night - After I left a message to cancel(5 minutes after talking to him) they billed $178 to my Visa card and did not send me SHIPPING CONFIRMATION. I will never purchase from this site. There is no reason for giving ANYONE a copy of a drivers license or passport in order to verify a Credit Card. Lux-Design.com is far better to their customers. Seems to send out products that are not in origianl packaging or damaged boxes and claims that they are brand new items. If you have no problem getting used items, good store.
Edit to response: The package was defintely not "unopened". The box was cracked and sealed with plastic scotch tape. So you know it was an "open" item. The cpu block which I bought defintely had a non-used finish, the vga block did not. The vga block had what looked like oxidation on the inside and I can't imagine how that would be there without some kind of use. What I felt was unfair was that you made no mention on the website about the package being "open", if you had then I would have absolutely no ground and would not have purchased it and been a happy customer.
Everything else I'm very happy with. Good store, but some items are not nearly as well described as they should be and that is not something I believe should happen. If a package is open, say it is, or send it back to the manufacturer. Just my experience. This review was modified by its author, stealthrt95, on

As the owner of CrazyPC I would like to clearly state that we do not sell used products as new. In this instance the customer assumed that because the package was not in mint condition that it was used. The customer purchased a Thermaltake CL-W0038 VGA Waterblock. These are packaged in a clear plastic "clam shell" that snaps shut and stapled. The plastic package was cracked so our packaging department taped it so that the contents would not spill out. The product itself was new and in the same condition as any other block of the same make and model. We offered to refund the customer's shipping charges if the block proved to be used. However, upon inspection we determined that the packaging was unopened, and again the block was in the same condition. Further, we inspected our records and determined that we have had no returns or warranty claims on these blocks at any time. As such, we feel that this review is unwarranted and unfair. We have been in business since 1999, and take great pride in the quality of our service and would never send out used products as new to our customers.
Edit: We appreciate the customers comments but wish to kindly disagree. The Thermaltake packing is not air tight. The oxidation was very small, but will occur over time. We inspected several blocks and found them to have similar or worse scratches and imperfections. Lastly, the Swiftech blocks are better finished and were made more recently.
Best Regards,
Nick Curtiss

CrazyPC has a decent selection for their target mod community. The prices are also highly competative when compared to other mod suppliers. I do think that site design could be paid more attention, as the top panel is a bit overbearing, some of the categories cross-reference others and could do with some redundancy to ease searching times. Product details vary from quite complete to quite lacking. Also, and this is a small but noticeable 'problem' that bothers me, when a product is selected for details the page background switching to white along with the top bar change is a bit disconcerting.
overall a good site that just keeps getting better as its selection increases. will definatly continue to do business with and refer others to.

Crazy fast order processing and shipping. Excellent order progress and status notificaton via email. Nice, friendly service. Thumbs up on the ordering and shipping process!
Sadly though, expect a slow response on requests for tech support and product returns. Each of which required further followup from me. Time to refund after delivery of returned goods seems slow as well. Thumbs down in these areas. :-( This review was modified by its author, fonedude, on

All I can say for now is the online site is setup nicely and so far all the services were fine. I will have to wait to see how the shipping end works out. Don This review was modified by its author, gottuhaveit, on

Everything packaged nicely. But I feel like the item was opened prior to its delievery. There are fingerprints here and there and some plastic packagings were ripped.

Amazing products at great prices. They need better explanations for some of the producs though. However, it was very easy to find very good products at low prices and to order them quickly and efficiently.

*EDIT 5-13-06*
Crazypc contacted me and arranged for the RMA to go through.
I now have a replacement stick that is working fine. I appreciate Crazypc taking cust. serv. so seriously and taking care of the customer.
They deserve your business.
Bought KINGMAX RAM with a lifetime warranty back in 2001.
RAM recently failed. I was instructed by KINGMAX to RMA it with the vendor. So I contacted crazypc and was eventually called by "Mike".
He indicated they no longer sell KINGMAX but would see what he could do and call me back. Later got a call back to expect a chip from KINGMAX shortly. I thought it odd that he never asked for the bad chip back. This was a month or two ago. Never heard back, never received a thing, so I emailed Mike, called and left a few messages, emailed KINGMAX too. Never heard a word back ever.
And before you think I am being petty about RMA's 4-5 year old RAM...
What pissed me off the most was the exercise in futility just trying to RMA the RAM. Mike's lack of follow up is poor customer service. I find that hard to fathom as he was initially responsive to me, but eventually just decided to ignore the issue (IMO) and won't even respond back now. I suspect CrazyPC never meant to help me at all (IMO).
Extremely poor RMA service in my instance. I would NEVER treat a customer like that regardless of what they bought and when.
I hope you fare better... This review was modified by its author, shoman100, on

Customer service is very important to CrazyPC and we make every effort to honor our warranties. We apologize for any error on our part. The customer submitted his RMA request for Kingmax memory on 3/16/2006. We contacted Kingmax and they agreed to handle the RMA directly. Due to a miscommunication with Kingmax we believed it wasn't necessary to return the memory. We were surprised to see this post as we believed the matter was closed. We couldn't find any record of subsequent email contact. We have contacted Kingmax and the customer to further facilitate his RMA. - Sincerely, Nick Curtiss |

Very nice prices, good selection of products. My only issue is that once you place an order you get an email, and then your kinda left high and dry for a few hours, maybe a day until you get a confirmation that your credit card has been charged. Not a huge issue, but I'd still like to know whats going on during that long period of time. Last order I had with them went smoothe as cake. Very happy!
