I ordered a new Sony HDMI to HDMI cable for the PS3 and received a Sony HDMI to mini HDMI cable for camcorders. Not only that, it came in an unsealed plastic bag with decaying, broken rubber bands and some very old stickers with UPC barcodes. This was supposed to be a brand new product. I requested an RMA and will return promptly. I am very disappointed in Buy.com and it is unlikely I will be doing business with them again.

Ordered Sam Cooke - Potrait of A Legend (SACD Hybrid)HOWEVER disc shipped is a standard CD, returned original CD as buy.com advise they would replace with advertised SACD Hybrid.  
 
Second shipment (took a total of thirty days!!!....WAY too long) was also a standard CD, however it appears the record/CD label (ABKCO Records) stopped, without notice, producing the disc with the SACD layer! And they kept the same stock & UPC numbers!  
 
Unfortunately for buy.com they are advertising the disc as a SACD Hybrid, but you won't get it that way.  
 
After all this I asked about keeping the standard CD, but requested some give on buy.com's part for sending the "wrong" item twice & advertising it incorrectly.  
 
They gave me a substantial credit on the item.  
 
After a month I'm satisfied, however buy.com should investigate their mechandise more throughly to ensure buyers get what is advertised.

Shipped a bad drive. They could not cross ship a replacement so I could still use the rebate and then they said it would take at least 14 days after they received the drive back to replace it. Told me they were a drop shipper and had no control over the process. Thus the rebate couldn't be claimed. Second time I've had a problem with buy.com. They are really not worth the problems. Still waiting for the credit card refund. They contacted me after I posted this review and offered to send me another drive at the original price but I had already purchased one elsewhere for $2 more without the headaches. Funny it should take a bad review to finally get through to someone.

DONOT-BUY.COM / NEVER RECEIVED GOODS. NO WORD FROM THEM!!! I am outraged by the ineptitude of this seller! I ordered something over the phone -the sales person insisted that this way I would - A) Get my product sooner, and, B) Be assured to receive one of the few they had left in stock of this particular model - I paid extra for 2 business day freight; and never received the item. I waited and waited, patiently, I might add. Now 2 weeks later nothing. I called and learned that my order was "held up" by some random "verification" process which I was NEVER informed about (I know they had my contact info because I received an Order Confirmation email). Now it seems, wait for it, they are out of stock. And... so sorry... but too bad for you ma'am, no idea when/if they will get more....  
 
Please, please please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THE MONEY YOU SAVE WILL BE TIME AND MONEY WASTED IN THE LONG RUN. I believe in the power of the dollar to say what needs to be said to incompetent businesses. Help communicate to Buy.com that bad business practices will cost them more than a bad reputation. DONOT BUY.COM

Once again Buy.com has come through for me. I ordered a Brother 2700 Label Maker from Buy.com on Tuesday and it arrived today, Saturday. My item was packed well in an appropriately sized box and arrived undamaged and in perfect working order. The only negative the label makers outer box had been ripped somewhere between the manufacturer and my house--if I'd been planning on gifting the label maker I would've been a little disappointed but I would've simply fixed the tear with some masking tape--all in all a non-issue.  
 
I would be happy to go through this exact same transaction again. Based on this experience, I would recommend buy.com to a friend.

I ordered Able Planet noise canceling headphones at $49.99, with free shipping. Several days later I saw that the item was still processing. I emailed customer service...no response. I called and they said they would get back to me. No response. I called again, and was told the item was out-of stock and they would have to cancel the order and I would need to place a new order at the current price. While on the phone I checked their Web site, and saw that the headphones were now $139.99 + $7.54 to ship...and the listing showed they were in stock. I passed this along to the rep, but he kept saying that the headphones were out of stock. I told him that it seemed they just did not want to honor the lower price that they originally were selling them for. The rep kept talking in circles...couldn't get a straight answer. In the end I just told him to cancel the order, and added that I would never do business with this company again.  
 
Save yourself the aggravation. Go elsewhere.

I made two orders from www.ca.buy.com, for the 1st order I felt happy, but 2nd order cost me lots of time. What happened?  
 
First, they made a mistake and sent wrong items to me. Secondly, the customer service did their works but took over two months to deal with my 2nd order. The whole story was:  
 
ca.buy.com sent wrong items to me and I contacted with customer service, they didn't send right items to me and just canceled my order, in the mean while they asked me send back wrong items to their warehouse and I did but I paid the return shipping fee by myself. After returning the wrong items to them, I spent over one month to ask them give me the refund for the return shipping fee. At last they knew this wasn't my fault and gave me the refund for the order and return shipping fee. The whole process over 2 months from making order on June 2 to getting refund on Aug.21, 2009.  
 
In a word, www.ca.buy.com is not a too bad online store, but please be careful their non-efficient customer services if you don't want to waste too much time.

For some time I had been looking into buying either a Nikon D200 or D300 online. Just this past August I was very excited to purchase a Nikon D200 kit from under $449 from one of your vendors, Focus Camera. I patiently read all of the site reviews and I even called Buy.Com Customer Service to verify that I was purchasing the right product. Customer Service indeed informed me that I am purchasing a new Nikon D200 kit with a Full USA Warranty. Ten days later after my package arrived boy was I surprised, I received an electronic Dutch-English Dictionary. I have now returned the Dictionary for a full refund to Focus Camera. For obvious reasons I am very unhappy with Buy.com.

I hadn't used buy.com in almost 2 years. They showed a good price with shipping on something I wanted, so I placed an order. A week later, I noticed that I hadn't received my order yet, so I double checked my order history. Turns out that they tried to use my old address from 2 years ago and the credit card company (thankfully) prevented the charge. No e-mail was sent to me that there was a problem, it simply was stuck. There was a place online to correct the payment info, so I simply updated the info to the new address. Then I quickly received an e-mail saying the order went through. The only problem was it still listed my old address as the "shipping address"! I immediately e-mailed support and called their almost impossible to find customer service number. Long story short, they were not able to correct the shipping address without canceling the order because buy.com is nothing but a middleman to real stores. Unfortunately, the new price (now a week later) was $40 more than a week before! Of course, they refused to honor the old price and essentially told me "too bad". Needless to say, I am VERY unhappy with my experience and will pay more to shop elsewhere.

I Bought an item on July the 10th. I waited for the item to come, only to find out it came and signed for but it wasn't in my hands. I've been emailing them several times because they had not been geting back to be and i was worried. When they do finally email me back they said i have to wait till Aug the 18th to let me know the outcome of their investigation. And so i waited. Aug 21st comes and i have yet to received any emails from their customer support. There i sent several more email to them. Finally on Sept the 10th i get an email from them saying they can't do anything for me and i should contact the shipping company. Why would they make me wait over a month to tell me that they could have not done anything for me. I could have contacted the shipping company myself and deal with them directly. I've contacted my credit card company to tell them what happen and i hope this all gets resolved.

Do not reccomend that you buy from Buy.com but if you do: learn from my mistake below.  
 
We bought a Kodak All-in-one printer that did not work. After troubleshooting with Kodak, they identified that the printer was broken and they would send us a new model. They did (and we sent our original to Kodak). It had the same issues as the first. Here's the terrible part: Kodak will only send us a third printer (Which likely won't work) and Buy.com say they can't refund us because we no longer possess the one they sent us. Can you believe this pergatory. Plus, Buy.com did not respond to our customer support requests nor have they followed through with any of their promises. We have bought other items from Buy.com where the product was functional and had no issues but Buyer Beware!

This product was delivered fast, with a Trojan Horse program included! This dangerous item was returned to them right away, but they have not replied to my request for an explanation and apology. They have offered it again since then, even though they KNOW it has this trojan horse!  
Beware of Buy.com!  
9/9/09 Update: Buy.com has now contacted me, and they assure me they will look into this. They also issued a credit to my account. This is more like the way buy.com has responded in the past, and it is reassuring to see this action and concern.

Buy.com was offering a deal (not a steal of a deal, but a pretty decent one) on an ATSC/NTSC framegrabber card - about $20 below the price I would get when ordering direct from the manufacturer. When the card arrived, however, it turned out that it was missing 1) the remote 2) the interface for the remote 3) the IR blaster to control the cable box and 4) the ports for the remote and IR blaster - in other words, it was NOT the same card (although the manufacturer number was the same). To make things worse, after I went through the convoluted procedure of requesting a refund and shipped the card back, I received an e-mail that a refund was issued, however, no refund was actually posted to my account, one week and counting. Trying to talk with customer service did nothing to remedy the situation - complete denial on their part, won't even give me the transaction number.  
Ultimately, it took more than a week to get a refund. I am not buying anything ever again from these blighters: there are plenty of drama-free online retailers to choose from.

Lots of items for sale from many different categories, decent prices for a most.  
 
The item I bought was shipped within 24 hours even though it said ships in 1-2 days with a possible extra 3-5 extra days for free shipping (which I always use if possible). It arrived well packed and nothing was rolling around in the box. While not a big deal they did charge me sales tax even though they are not in my state.

I have received an item I didn't buy and I paid shipping for an item I didn't buy. I requested a full refund of all the money spent to include shipping due to the product received not being the product advertised. I contacted Buy.com several times to have the product returned at no cost to me. I also contacted ANTonline to issue a shipping label to return the merchandise with. Neither buy.com nor ANTonline would issue a shipping label to return the item that was incorrectly sent and not even purchased buy me. I am of the opinion buy.com and ANTonline need to rectify this problem by refunding the entire amount and forwarding a return shipping slip and any cost. A order cancellation request was sent immediately after the reciept of the forced order clarification E-mail was received. ANTonline needs to refund the entire amount too include shipping and forward by E-mail a return label for shipping back to ANTonline. Not the right product. Not even purchased and refusal by buy.com and ANTonline to correct thier error. that's customer satisfaction. Thanks Buy.com
