I got my order complete and it arrived on time. They arrived today so I cannot really rave or complain about the performance of anything specifically, but spot testing all is well.
Avoid shopping here, this crew manages cheap prices by shoddy service and products. I ordered a refurb monitor/TV and it came poorly packaged and damaged. I returned it and they had no replacement for it, suggested another brand. I said I'd wait until the same top brand TV came in stock. Two weeks later I received a random budget TV and told it was deemed a suitable replacment (by the techs?), despite having told them I wanted the brand I ordered or just a refund. I had to argue with them to take that return and pay for the shipping. In the end, I got refunded but never paid for the $50 expedited shipping, so all in all I lost 25% of the payment by dealing with Geeks.com. Do yourself a favor and find another retailer, I found the same TV new at same price elsewhere.
I have ordered quite a few items from Geeks and have been happy with my experiences. The last one was a refurbished keyboard that arrived missing some parts. I called them and they were very cooperative in coming up with a solution that made me happy. Geeks has great prices, good descriptions of the products, and a good selection.
This company has the worst customer service have ever encountered. I place an order for a Refurb Phillips 5.1 surround sound system on the 17th of Aug, 2009. The product was billed immediatly. I get a phone call on the 20th asking for the 800 number on the back of the card for verifacation. I give the lady the # She calls back about 2 hrs later talking about she cannot verify the card. This is the same card I use for all my online purchases and just got done placing an order with Newegg ( not 1 problem with that, in fact the order from them was shipped and delivered faster then it was even ordered on Geeks) I say ok what can we do, Im placed on hold, she comes back and ask's if I can make a 3 way phone call to my credit card issuer. Well I dont have 3 way so there was no way I could, plus its not my responsablity to do so. Then Im placed on hold again. Now we are working on an hr on the phone trying to get this verified, 3 days after the merchandise was ordered and billed. Also I was shipping this to a different address cause it was a gift, and with that being said it didnt make matters any easier. When she finally gets back on the phone she tells me that I need to contact my credit card company and add the address of where im sending the merchandise onto my credit card. I was not putting the other address on my credit card. I ask them to cancel my purchase. My order was cancelled immediatly. My money was not released from Geeks until the 24th. Today is the 26th and I still have not received my money back onto my credit card for this. I called my credit card company and they said it was on Geeks end. I will never do business with this company again and I will let evryone I know not to do business with them This was my 1st and last order.

We understand that registering your shipping address with your bank can be difficult and we do apologize for the potential delay caused by the additional address verification. Nevertheless this step is taken to protect ourselves and our customers from unauthorized credit card use. By limiting our losses from credit card fraud we are able to provide our customers with the lowest prices possible. Your first order may be delayed for verification, but once your account has been established, no additional verification will be necessary provided the account profile remains the same.
We feel that this additional step will help us foster a more positive relationship with our customers in the long term and again, once your account is established your orders will be processed without delay. My direct contact information is provided below if you have any further concerns.

Seller issued RMA and full refund (they picked it up) and therefore made it right. Thanks Resellers Ratings and Kristopher (from Geeks).
Unfortunately the great price on a refurbed Xbox 360 Elite was unmatched by either the transit time, product quality, or responsiveness of this seller. Card charged immediately, Shipped about a week later - I can kind of live with that. Xbox arrived in generic box and was defective. Contacted to get a Return authorization - no response for over a week. If you are going to sell me a brick, at least have the courtesy to respond instead of forcing me to go through a credit card chargeback procedure.

I ordered a 7" tv expecting to be able to receive digital signals over the air. It didn't work. As it turned out the TV did not have a QAM tuner and I was unaware that that is what was required. Not Geeks fault, but I recommend GEEKS plainly say in an ad for such a TV that it requires a converter box for air reception. Return service was pleasant and prompt. The salesman helped me select another TV that suited my needs, which had a QAM tuner.
My orders are being improperly charge sales tax. I live in Simi Valley, CA (Ventura County) where the sales tax rate is 8.25%. My order was charged 8.75%. You can verify this on the Board of Equalization website http://www.boe.ca.gov/pdf/pub71.pdf
I expect my account to be credited properly.
If we cannot resolve this, I will disputing this with Discovercard & it is questionable about my future business with your company. I expect to be treated fairly & not be overcharged. Thanks

We would like to thank you for bringing this to our attention. The current information on our website is not clear and we are going to make the necessary changes to resolve any confusion. Online California residences are charged the local tax of our location (Oceanside, CA.), which is 8.75%. I have created a $10.00 refund for the inconvenience. My direct contact information is provided below if you have any further concerns.

Pros: Recieved the computer in three days as promised. The computer was exactly as advertised all things that it were supposed to come with it was included.Except, the advertasment for the computer read that it may have bleamashes, cracks, missing drivers (hard to find) or missing buttons this was not the case it looked brand new. The computer booted up first try and registration went without a hitch. it is running smoothly and I have had no problems, it is a great second computer, a starter computer, or a great little unit for someone who just wishes to do e-mail and surf the web.
Cons:The key for Windows XP on COA was very hard to read it would have been easier if it was placed on the Windows XP disk that came with the computer.
overall I am a happy return customer of geeks.com.Good shipping and so far good customer service. I do security camera systems on the side and I ordered some dvr capture cards. I took a chance on what appeared to be a step up in quality of 120fps 4 chip cards (30fps on 4 inputs). The WS-404 cards came bundled with really badly pirated QX2006 software that had no install/setup exe file--it was actually a copy of someone's working directory folder from a chinese user's computer back in 2007. Generic Phillips SAA 7130 drivers available on the web would not drive the card. I found a review on Amazon.com from somone that had a Sabrent card that looked just like the geeks issued one and the comment made there was that he was able to go to www.wave-p.com and download updated software etc for the Sabrent. Hmmmm. I downloaded legitimate software from that site and lo & behold I had a well functioning product.
Cmon guys..if you are going to bundle software with a component it either has to have an installer and be functional or better yet a generic windows WDM driver that will work and I'll get software on my own. I shouldn't have to spend 2 weeks scouring the internet experimenting via trial & error.
I received my video camera very promptly, after paying a nice low price for it. It looks brand new, and it does everything it is supposed to do. I think this was a great find and value for me.
I have ordered from Geeks.com a number of times, and always received my merchandise in a timely fashion, and received what I ordered.
Only once did I order an item that arrived marked "AS IS" when I did not remember the ad saying that. However, the item was received in good condition, and worked perfectly.
