I ordered an item that was supposed to be drop-shipped from the vendor as they were out of stock. I went to the extent to contact the vendor who assured me that they would reserve the item and ship it as soon as the TechOnWeb order came through. Here it is the 22nd of the month and I still have no confirmation that the order has been shipped despite numerous phone calls and e-mails and promises. This companys Customer Service personnel do not do what they tell you they will do and this will be my first and last order with them.

Check return policy before buying, especially memory-you cannot even exchange if you bought the wrong type!!!
Unfriendly, customers come after the bottom line.

BEWARE, TECHONWEB is a a scam company. I bought HP desktop memory free after rebate. I could not find my rebate status on HP web site because there is no such rebate offer. TECHONWEB is also not a HP retailer.

BUYER BEWARE! TechOnWeb performed well until there was a problem-but who can't do that? It's when there is a problem that you find out what a company is REALLY all about. My item (a camcorder accessory incompatible with my camcorder) is still brand new in the box and they refuse to accept its' return. The manufacturer (Sony) accepts returns up to 30 days, but TechOnWeb won't accept a return and never explained why, they just keep parroting their arbitrary web purchase policy of no returns. Instead of taking care of a good customer who offered to pay for back shipping and buy the right accessory from TechOnWeb, they recommended I try to sell their brand new product on eBay at a loss. Paid 4466.03 USD for two laptops and one HD camcorder and never received my purchased items. Sent many e-mails and made huge amount telephone calls. No result. They even do not reply. Three monts left. Outrageous!!! This review was modified by its author, Raouf99, on

Ordered almost 3 weeks ago and still not shipped. E-mailed an inquiry and received only a "working on your request" reply. Simple order for speakers. Should have read the other customer reviews before using this company because order completion seems to be a chronic complaint. Won't use them again!

Horrible shipping because they use FEDEX Ground. Had to drive out to scary trucking district, after 3 days of trying to get the driver to deliver.

Read and judge for yourself.
I placed an order for a Belkin UPS on July 30 2008 AD.
Item arrived badly damaged. I sent emails to customer service for replacement. I received contradictory replies. Eventually, Fedex picks up the damaged item after about 10 days.
Since then I never heard from them. They charged my card and they avoid replying to my emails – they delete emails without even reading them.
Bunch of crooks. I'll report them for internet fraud.
AVOID THEM, AVOID BEING SCAMMED!

Techonweb has the WORST customer service I have ever had the misfortune to encounter in on-line shopping! These are the type of companies that give internet buying a bad name. Their return policy is almost non-existent and they cannot even spell "customer Service", let alone practice it. If you are planning to buy from them, ensure that you select the correct product beacuse they leave you NO room for mistakes, do not care about customer satisfaction and could care less about their customers once a sale has been made!!! No returns or exchanges are possible so read the fine print on their web site very carefully!! BEWARE!! I will NEVER buy from them again even if they were the last company on earth!!! I ordered a voyager 855/R HDSET from Techonweb.com. When I received the item, it did not work. I called them up and was told that I would have to send the item back to them and I would have to pay for the shipping to them. If I would send it back the same way, it would cost me $25.00. I asked them why I would have to pay the shipping for an item that they sent to me defective....I was told that is just the way it is. This would make the item now MORE expensive than buying it at the store. Shame on me I guess for trying to save a few dollars. I ended up calling the manufacture directly and they gladly said they would send me a replacement. Once I received the replacement, it would include a POSTAGE PAID label and to send them the broken one. Word to the wise....deal with the manufacture directly. This company was horrible.

I ordered a Epson Perfection V700 Photo Flatbed Scanner. The shipment was superfast but it did not work. Our IT worked for three hours trying to solve the problem with no luck. Called TechonWeb and they said they would not exchange the brandnew printer! It has never been used because IT DOES NOT WORK! They told us to contact Epson.

I placed an order with Techonweb on 03/20/2008. The following day, Rolando rang and rudely announced that he was calling from the Techonweb fraud department. He demanded information and threatened to cancel my order unless I provided such. When pressed to tell me what looked fraudulent about my order, he admitted that there was nothing evidently fraudulent about it. Indeed, my address and phone number are on file with my bank. Rolando, who might just as well be some fisher, refused to appologize for his attitude and placed me on hold! I hung up. Don't stand for this kind of treatment. Don't buy from Techonweb. I placed my order with confidence, only to be very unsatisfied. I received my shipment, (Well, the wrong shipment!) I have tried contacting them about it, and all I get from them, is that they want me to go out of my way to get their screwed up item back to them. They could care less about making things right.
If I ran a company, and screwed up like this, I would make sure I sent the replacement (IE: The correct item!) item overnight free of charge to my customer.
It is one thing to screw up, (We all do it from time to time!) however dragging ones feet, and not owning up to it, is just unacceptable.
The item I ordered is the Logitech Z5500 5.1 set of speakers, I received the Z2300. Which is about 1/2 the size, price and weight. I don't know how someone could mistake a box 1/2 the size as another. The damn Subwoofer wouldn't fit in this small box.
I will never do business with this company again, and recommend that no one else does either. There are to many great companies to allow these shotty ones to thrive on our dollar. This review was modified by its author, mlucas3, on

Bought an Hp iPaq (don’t remember which model) from these guys a while back. Description page clearly stated the phone HAD a camera and battery life of so and so. I received a sluggish NO camera phone that had battery life of a short phone call. I then proceeded to contact the refund department and was given a RAM number under which the package should be shipped. Fair enough, shipped the package thinking I’d get my money back spoon. Well its been a month or so and I still don’t have my money nor am I getting through the customer service. They have the money and they have product ,but, they don't have enough compassion to even give me a lame excuse. Shame on you techonweb.com. I would definitely spend my money somewhere else next time.

Update: Well for some strange reason I got an answer from someone at Techonweb. Coincidentally this was just as I was filing a business dispute. Hopefully I will get my refund out of them. It’s been about 2 months since I first requested it. This review was modified by its author, miki_373, on
