I recently had to send my EX7 in for repair and had excellent results. I was somewhat concerned with some of the reviews I read recently so it was very nice to have Tom and Alex take such good care of my machine and get me back up and running. I've had it back up and running for a week straight now and everything is running perfectly.

Hypersonic EQ7 Brakes After Couple of Months  
 
Spent $4,585 on this machine. It came incomplete. Ordered dual video card and they only sent one. They sent me the second one later. Opened it and it was dusty and used. Couple of months later the whole thing brakes. Won't start. Won't even make a sound.  
 
Hypersonic's answer?  
 
No their problem.  
 
Conclusion - never buy from these guys. They don't know how to build computers and how to run a business.  
 
Warned.

Firstly, I have read some not-so-good reviews of Hypersonic's customer service. Let me say that my experiences with Hypersonic's customer service has been nothing shy of excellent. Namely, Sophannara Sok (Tom) has been a pleasure to deal with and really seems concerned with the customer's satisfaction on all levels. I am very pleased with my experience with Hypersonic and Sophannara's customer service.

I needed support for my 3 year old Hyper Sonic EX7 laptop. On the edge of my warranty expiring I sent it in. The tech support guys were easy to work with and knew their stuff. Being in IT myself, it was important to me that they were able to talk to me on my level and trust my knowledge base. Together we were able to work out all the issues with a minimum of downtime for me and all under my uber warranty!

My husband and I purchased two Hypersonic Gaming Laptops in 2006. We absolutely love them. They are the best computers we have ever owned. Recently, mine encountered problems. When I contacted Hypersonic, Sophannara Sok, immediately took care of me. He sent me shipping tags to send the laptop and kept me informed through out the progress. I can't stress enough how fun it actually was to communicate with this company. They are HERE in the USA, I wasn't speaking to someone in India. Sophannara humored me when I kept referring to my computer as "her" and giving me updates of her "medical" status. It was just really an over all FUN experience as CRAZY as that sounds. My husband and I are 'certain'. We will continue to buy and upgrade computers through Hypersonic as well as urge all our family and friends to do the same.

Hypersonic is a great company for someone looking for a fast and powerful notebook. I have one of their older notebooks and it still can compete with the newer laptops and it still can still run all the new games.  
 
I have had this notebook for 4 years now and it is still solid and it doesn't show any wear considering all the abuse I put it through.  
 
Hypersonic's lifetime customer service is great. I still call Hypersonic and they are more than willing to help and solve my problems. I will always recommend Hypersonic when somebody is looking for a gaming notebook.

I have had very unsatisfactory experiences with Hypersonic. My computer developed serious problems (blue screen, etc.) and I sent it back to them for repair. The kept it for four months and after they sent it back to me it was still not properly repaired. They said part of the delay was do to ordering a replacement motherboard. When I got it back it still had the same motherboard (they lied). They sent it back with an eight year old operating system, and they added a new raid card without sending me the drivers for the new controller cards. When I received the computer back the metal screen on the front was kicked in and dented. The same problems occurred after I got it back; program crashes, I have to bootup 2-3 times to get it running, blue screen, etc. I spent over $689.00 in repair cost, shipping, etc. and it still does not work. This repair occurred even after the new owners took over Hypersonic. You can not get them by telephone, and they never respond to e-mails. I will never use this company again for anything. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with in my 20+ years using computers. Please save your money, and time, and go elsewhere for your computer needs.

I searched for the most powerful notebook PC I could find, and Hypersonic had the best. As a desktop replacement, it was everything I could have asked for. While I did experience some problems on the motherboard, Hypersonic's top-notch support guys, particularly Tom Sok and Alex Gilligan went the extra mile to make everything right.  
 
I'm a happy customer.

I purchased a cyclone ocx tower limited edition amd based system for gaming .I also purchased the three year warranty.I am very pleased with my pc and now that ocz has taken over im sure there is nothing but up from here.I had to send my pc back right in the middle of ocz taking over hypersonic.It was kind of hetic there, im sure during the merge.When i hate being without my pc so i was nagging them everyday.It took alittle longer to get it back than it should have but they were very proffesional and took care of me for my lost time with my pc.All i can say is Alex,Tom,Aj and all the other techs who had dealings with me have a great future in store for them there at ocz/hypersonic,i see that company going straight to the top.If you want a high end gaming rig that will compete with anything out there and you like a very neat and clean built pc than give these guys a try i bet you will enjoy your pc as much as i have.Thanks guys...Dale Reader....-AKA- Ir8|BludWolf

The Aero AR7 is a fantastic laptop. It boots up in seconds, and transitions with ease from program to program. The speaker system is awesome, as well as the graphics on a beautiful wide screen. Although heavier than we would like, it makes up for that in power and ability to perform. It was delivered ontime, and one thing special about an online order, is that the company answered every e-mail back to me within days of posting. Only draw back of this laptop is that we bought ours before they had blue-ray available. My son is a gammer, and loves this laptop!

An Aviator EQ7 Laptop (all 12 lbs.) from Hypersonic, arrived at my office this week! I am very impressed that a machine of this quality was actually built here in the US. The folks at Hypersonic took the time to help me specify a laptop configuration that met my specific professional needs and budget - even willing to preload Windows XP Professional OS versus Vista. In my process of loading other applications on to the hard drive, I bumped into a virus that completely froze up Windows. Mr. Sok, at Hypersonic, spent the best of two hours on the phone with me trouble shooting the problem. Result; the machine is now running perfectly. And, BTW, the 1920 x 1200 screen resolution is fantastic! If you need a plain off-the-shelf machine tomorrow morning - go with the off shore guys. However, if you seek a robust, workhorse performer tailored to your specific requirements and are willing to wait on the 72 hour burn-in test/sign-off from Hypersonic, you will take ownership of a superb laptop! Oh, for peace of mind, you are only a phone call away from a real person if you need support.

Hypersonic has made a 100% complete turnaround on Customer service.It has been a long 3 years just trying to get my system to the point to where it was worth the money I paid for it, and it has finally paid off. I have a brand new system and it is superb. Better yet this recent experience with Sean(OCZ),Tom Sok & Alex Gilligan(Hypersonic)was very professional and personal.  
Tom has answered all of my questions and concerns and Alex has always given 100% right from the beginning. I highly recommend to anyone who wants the best system on the market.

Since OCZ taking over Hypersonic, the customer service/support has done an outstanding job support their customers. I turned in my computer to get fixed in late January and I think it's at the same time that Hypersonic was transitioned to OCZ. Their technical support, Tom Sok, was very helpful insuring that I will get my laptop and paperwork on time. I'm very satisfied with their service and customer support. I would recommend my friends for future purchase of their products.

I've been an Alienware owner for a number of years, but when it came time to upgrade my laptop to something a bit newer, through price and hardware comparisons, Hypersonic beat them out, plus I had only good reviews from friends of them. So I settled on an Aviator EQ-7. Ultimately, I should have waited a few months for the new DX10 graphics cards to come out, but I wasn't really tracking that, being deployed. Suffice it to say that the initial purchase and dealing with customer service was excellent and then, in the wake of the acquisition by OCZ, I didn't hear from Hypersonic or its parent company for nearly two entire months.  
 
I will admit that once a member from OCZ started handling my situation, however, the system was assembled and shipped to me within two weeks, the only delay being shortages of the processor that I wanted installed. From contact with the customer service rep from OCZ, it was about 3 weeks until I received my system. Keep in mind that I am deployed to Afghanistan and the system showed up, ready to rumble.  
 
I have no complaints with the laptop itself. It is an excellent system although I would have liked an option for maybe a slot-loading DVD drive as I have become accustomed to the one on my previous laptop. Otherwise, the system is beautiful and operates well except for the interface with the screen-mounted camera. Being unable to really contact tech support from my location is about the only thing hindering me from solving that issue.  
 
One warning that I feel should be made very obvious, however, is the effect of Windows Vista on certain games. Even with specs that should annihilate the requirements to run games, both Vista32 and 64 have issues with games like Company of Heroes and World in Conflict. The architecture of the OS causes game crashes and reversion to desktop. While that is not a Hypersonic issue, being a product that they offer, it should be noted (in my humble opinion).  
 
Now that the turmoil of the acquisition is past, I expect that the customer service Hypersonic is known for will reassert itself.

New owner review of Hypersonic AR-7 Prebuilt model.  
My new Hypersonic AR-7 is a dream come true. It is very handsome, very thin, and lightweight.  
The 17" laptop screen is bright and very sharp. Watching movies is wonderful and the sound is excellent. The computer has instant response to any command and the keyboard and touch pad are placed exactly right. I have not been able to find any faults or problems with the machine and I highly recommend the AR-7 to anyone wanting an  
American built computer built to the highest standards.
