I attempted to cancel an order for a TV because I decided I would like a larger set which I was also going to order from Amazon. There return service is a joke. I canceled the order after it had just made it out of your warehouse and was waiting to be shipped at another warehouse to my location. They shipped the order the rest of the way anyways and made it to my location on the 11th. 7 days now and my TV still hasn't even been shipped back to them and I can't get a refund until they get it back. I shipped the other part of the order back and they received it on the 11th. 7 days they have had my returned blu-ray player and still no indication of a refund yet. I canceled on the 8th of September and the best their CSR can tell me is that the earliest they can help is on the 8th of October an entire month later. I'm severely disappointed with my service for this order. This may be the last transaction I make with Amazon. It's really unfortunate but Amazon is becoming more out of touch with consumer care, their shipping times are terrible and there customer service is terrible (their CSRs are nice enough it's their policies that are abhorring).
Update: My order was fully refunded to my account on the 25th, 2.5 weeks after I canceled the order.

I saw a write-up on a USB Bluetooth speaker for under $30. I wear hearing aids, so the earpiece will not work. But I have found this Motorala speaker to function very well. It sounds ok and nobody was unhappy with the audio from my end. The best part is that today I saw the same exact Bluetooth speaker in Office Depot -- in a fancy box -- priced $50 higher than the price I paid. I am sold on Amazon!
Ordered some Monroe brake pads, price was fair and shipping was fast, but brake pads were loose in box, torn out of the protective plastic like they were returns.
I ordered 2 products 3 days ago that said they were in stock. Because I chose the Free Super Saver shipping method the products don't go out for shipping immediately but rather 5-9 days after I submitted my order. This makes me think that Amazon.com tries to delay the free shipping so that customers are discouraged from using it. I will from now on use the free shipping offers that I get from Ebay. I have bought a lot of items on Amazon.com over the last years but after being a customer for 9 years I will now abandon this place!
Ordering PS3 game from Amazon, and my PS3 has some problems with reading the disc. Amazon.com paid the postage for the return and exchange with no hassle.
Have heard good things about this store but unfortunately had a very bad experience with them ordering a Samsung TV.
Ordered the TV as a birthday present with plenty of time to spare as it was a little over 2 weeks away. Initial arrival date was about a week away, and then it got delayed to 2 weeks which was still okay just annoying. The TV arrived missing a part however so it could not be set up, and amazon would give no help saying that they don't open the boxes before they send them out.
Told me I had to find the part myself and they would give me no discount and now the TV definitely won't be ready in time.
Excellent service as always! I love this company b/c of the ability to check on their dealers and their reviews before you buy. Amazon's use of paypal is a big help too! Love this company, Love their service and prompt shipping!!! can't wait for my other goodies!!!

Great place to shop online really. Ordered for a DVD set via amazon and had it delivered in 2 days. Its worth noting that the DVD (a David Gilmour rare set) was not available any where else at the price amazon was selling it at.
I will always shop with amazon for my music and books.
Usually when I am looking for a product I will check Amazon for price and availability. I have always been very pleased with the products, prices, and timely arrival from Amazon products. Lately I have had some problems with Amazon Marketplace vendors, but Amazon stands behind their guarantee and makes things right. I consider Amazon to be a very good merchant.
Ordered a refurbished TomTom One 130 GPS. Was very pleased with the unit until it failed two days later. A quick visit to Amazon's website & a few minutes later a prepaid shipping label was on my printer and a replacement was on-order. Three days later, I had my replacement & shipped the first unit back. My cost: $0. Can't ask for a better returns policy. You can't help but like Amazon! I'm not crazy about mail-in rebates, but it's worth it [to me] to get a GPS unit for $50 w/ free shipping. Amazon has become my first stop when I shop online.
I think it is tuff to rate Amazon since it has so many subvendors...I have even sold my stuff on Amazon. So, in general Amazon Direct is excellent and most of the subvendors are good. This review is for Amazon Direct.
This is not my first purchase from Amazon.com, I have too many transactions to count from shopping with them. Sometimes amazon.com has the lowest price around, and a lot of items totaling all together of $25.00 or more will qualify for free shipping, so whenever I try to do an order from them, I buy everything all together in one order to make it at least $25.00 to get the free shipping. Sometimes however, amazon.com might have an item that is priced higher than other stores, and other times their prices blow away the competition. But offering free shopping on orders of $25 or more is what's makes the deal better alot of the times, plus being able to use bing cashback on amazon for certain items is also a plus. I must say a few items I received from amazon.com arrived damaged, or not working, but amazon.com did not give me any hard times or question me at all of the damaged or un-working mechandise, they simply either sent out another item, or refunded all of my money back. I also like using amazon.com site to find out more information about a item I am looking to buy and also getting to see some good pictures of the item as well, amazon.com provides nice detailed information about all of their items included date it was first available on their site, weight of item, and dimensions of item, etc. It's very helpful information and it is also accurate information, I will continue making purchased from amazon.com as long as I am living and they are in business. Thank you.
I have ordered many items over the years from Amazon and my order for a camera lens was available here at the same price as B&H or Adorama. The shipping was free at Amazon and they sent the packet in two days. The customer service is absolutely one of the best.
