This is the second time I buy from buydig.com (B). Oonce again I am very pleased, although I can only review my experience on initial order, shipping and delivery as I had no return issues. I knew I would be taking a risk as I did not particularly like their Return Policy Options. However, they are honest and clear about it, which is something one does appreciate throughout the entire process as it is a great asset with any internet business.
So I ordered a Logitech Z-5500 surround speaker system for $292 and (despite their justified suggestion to go for some faster shipping and thus reduce chance of damage) I risked the free shipping option, making this a great value indeed. Soon thereafter I placed my order, got the first order confirmation, with plenty of information and even a Twitter link, that made it feel even more "homey" and friendly to the customer.
The item arrived far earlier than I expected, in exactly one week incl. order date. Delivery was by FedEx, left at the office of our building. The FedEx guy got a valid signature, as promised.
Condition was perfect, new out of the box. I found a nice receipt inside the box, no problems.
What is particularly nice about the company is that during transit of the item, logging into their site allows you to trace its progress by clicking on a link that takes you directly to the FedEx tracking service and even inputs the tracking number for you. It's not much but a nice touch on convenience that nor everyone does.
Last time I bought something from them was in 2006 when I had ordered another set of speakers (an old Creative Inspire set) for my old desktop. Again I was met with a speedy product receipt with no problems. I also recall I had asked them some question and received an immediate meaningful answer in full detail; so I also know that they do reply to your concerns in a timely fashion.
In short: return policies sound a bit risky IMHO, but at least you do know what to expect; they do not hide things from you, unlike some other companies that will not tell you much unless you make 10 calls first.
Delivery was impeccable, even on free shipping. Will be buying from them again.

Bought a Fuji Finepix s602, ordered Monday 8/19/02, shipped Wednesday 8/21/02, received Friday 8/23/02. Everything went perfect, great prices, USA warranty card. Looks good.
The only minor complaint I have is that I never received any e-mail about conformation of order, or shipping date or anything. Called their customer service, not very cordial, but said it would arrive by Friday, and it did.
I would buy from them again

I called BUYDIG customer service today WEDS
@ 1:40PM 8/21/02 and spoke to a male rep who
would not give me his name. I requested a FED
EXPRESS tracking # on my Olympus E20-N camera
package that was supposed to be shipped on
MON 8/19/02. This rep told me that even though
BUYDIG had sent me an e-mail that the item was
"in the process of being picked for shipment",
what that really meant is that the item was not
in stock and would be shipped out WEDS 8/28/02
when BUYDIG was assuming they would receive it.
I asked to speak to a supervisor since the rep
would not give me his name. The nameless rep put
me on hold and left me there until the call
dropped off.
I called BUYDIG back again WEDS @ 1:45PM 8/21/02
and this time got to sales and asked for ART my
salesperson from when I ordered the
Olympus E20-N camera. ART asked for my order
# W360159 and he looked up my sales info.
He now admits that the camera is not in stock
and will have to be shipped from Olympus
inventory, SUN 8/18/02 he told me first that the
camera was out of stock and then said wait a
minute and went on hold, when he came back he
said that his stock dept said they had one left
that he sould ship out right away on MON 8/19/02.
Based on that info I bought the camera and ART
promised me I would have it by THURS 8/22/02.
Now on WEDS 8/21/02 ART says I can wait till
late afternoon on THURS 8/22/02 and call him back
to see if they get that camera in stock,
if so he will ship it overnight to me or I can
cancel the order. I have no choice other than
to wit till tomorrow because BUYDIG has put me
in between a rock and a hard place by not being
honest with their in stock info!!!!!!!!!!

Ordered an Olympus C3020 digital camera on line. Order was clean as an on line order should be. No phone calls or push to buy extras.
Camera was delivered ordered on Thursday and arrived the following Monday. Factory fresh with everything that Olympus says comes with the camera.

Good price, prompt shipping. They did offer accessories I didn't want, but no hard sell. Would use them again.

I purchased a Canon Powershot S330 from these guys on August 6th. Received items from FedEx on the 9th to my delight! There were many other vendors who were cheaper than buydig, but they offered the best price while having good ratings on this board, as well as cnet and pricescan.com, where I learned they had the BBB certification, which sealed the deal for me. I would not hesitate to buy from these guys again as they sent my camera in pristine condition in amazing time.... THANKS!

A good experience - low price, quick shipping. A little annoyed at the $10 extra oversize item shipping/handling fee for "all DVD players, Scanners, Fax Machines, Recievers, and Printers" but they were still about as cheap as I could find (Canon S9000 printer $399 + $30 shipping).

I was a little worried when ordering a Minolta F100 from them as they had the lowest price (399) I could find at the time but everything went perfectly smooth.
Ordered on a Friday morning, shipped that afternoon (payed for 2nd day) and arrived Tuesday. It's not a gray market or returned item. Everything looks great. The customer service guy that helped me (Niel) asked if I needed accessories, I said no, end of story. He even apologized for the 30 seconds or so it took him to check stock and place the order.
I'm surprised at the level of service I recieved and I will buy from them again.

I've purchased Canon XL1S from Buydig. I've placed my order July 25 and received three days later as promised. The product was brand new and never opened with USA Manufactures warranty. Good company and great prices. Would definetely buy from them again.

After almost getting screwed big time by edigitalcity.com (do NOT buy from these morons!), i came and bought from buydig.com.
Ordered a Canon ZR40 at a great price using FedEx 2day Air. I got an e-mail instantly after placing the order, got another e-mail 24 hours later with a tracking number and got the camcorder today in perfect condition.
Nobody called to bother me about accessoires i didn't ask for and didn't want, service was very quick and accurate. Who cares that they send you computer generated e-mails, at least they work.
I would recommend buydig to anyone.

My first digital camera. After researching various online catalog stores I settled on Buydig, based on what I found here for responses. Ordered on 7/22. Delivered on 7/26. The camera, an Olympus D550Z, had a great price. The accessories...well I stayed away. Like so many things, it will be those prices that kill ya. For buying the camera, this place was great and prompt.

Ordered an Olympus C-3020. It was listed as being out of stock for 7 days. Picked Fedex ground shipping. Was pleasantly surprised when I received a tracking number the next day. It arrived in 4 days via Fedex Saver and works great.

I'm satisfied. I ordered a Minolta Dimage 7i at a very good price, and received it just a few days later. Even though my Mastercard is foreign, and the billing- and shippingaddress were different. Yes, their accesories and shipping are quite pricey, but in the end, you can make a great deal here. I would have no second thoughts in ordering from Buydig.com again.

Like all the rest of the comments, the S&H is overinflated, but I guess they have to make money somewhere. I purchased a Canon G2 from them because they had the lowest price around from a "reputable" dealer (based on this site). I placed the order on Sunday, received a confirmation e-mail immediately, then received a shipping notification (with a tracking no.) a few days later when it shipped. There was a 2-3 day delay between when the order shipped, but the fine print on the web site said so, so no surprised there.
My uncle just bought a JVC digital video camera from them two weeks ago, and also had no problems. When his package arrived, the zipper on the camera case was busted, so he called customer service immediately. No questions, no hassles, nothing. Just "send it back and we'll put a new one in the mail." No push for more accessories either, maybe because he already bought the accessory "kit."
Overall, I'd do it again the same way. Next time I buy a big ticket item, I'll check them first. For little things, though, the stuff looks to be Brand X, and overpriced to boot. But like I said, I guess they have to make their money somewhere. This review was modified by its author, j3rseyBoy, on
