Where to start? I started ordering months ago, tempted by the low prices. I ordered 6 or 7 times as I have a business and I order for stock. My last order included two (advertised as new) Seagate hard drives. Neither of them worked. They had the hewlett packard name on them. Only one of them was recognizable and it had already been partitioned and had information on it. It never worked well enough to load anything on it. There were pulls, probably from broken machines. I was refunded my money after a long wait. There weren't the only bad used hard drives that were advertised as new. Another drive had a refurbished sticker on it and didn't work. I actually bought 2 drives that were advertises as used. Neither of them worked. They did replace them with working models. Most of the cards(Sound, modem, etc) that I have ordered come in bubble wrap with the drivers on CD-r. Sometime the correct drivers are not on these CD-r's. If you order more than one item, them can come a bunch of unmarked cdrs and usually not enough to cover the amount of items that you have. You have to go through each cdr trying to find the drivers. You usually have to either search for the drivers online or call Compuvest. They are more than glad to tell you where to download the drivers for your new product. Once in a while you will actually get a new product that is advertised as new. I definitely wouldn't advise anyone that is trying to make a living repairing computers to order from Compuvest. I have lost hundreds of dollars and I will never order again. Unfortunately, by the time I figured them out, they had already taken me for plenty. All the ripoffs are not listed in this comment. I don't have enough time to do so.

I was looking for a Geforce2 MX400 video card and a 256mb ram module for my computer but the company i was originally didnt accept american express so i order from CompuVest with the 3 day UPS shipping. I got a tracking number and tracked my shipment which came right 3 days later in the after noon. I was eager to put in my new stuff especialy my ram because i only had 64mb. So i put the Ram in and booted up my computer and it wouldnt make it to windows so i took it out and put in my new video card which worked great. I called them about the ram and the guy said i should send it back because it was busted or it was the wrong kind so i sent it back and a week later no response so i called and someone told me that the ram worked fine and it was just the wrong kind and he said that they refunded my money when i asked for a new ram module that would work with the motherboard name that i wrote down in the package. So i went to www.crucial.com and they sent me ram that worked and it came the next day for they same price of shipping for 3 day at Compuvest. Compuvest is a good company but i suggest u order ram from ww.crucial.com much easier and faster and usually same price.

I have ordered a floopy and a dvd rom with software on one occasion and 256 ddr ram with a modem on another and I have got exactly what I wanted. Both orders took 3 days to get here with ground shipping. I VERY HIGHLY reccomend this company for cheap prices.(A little high on shipping though.)
Compuvest and memory man are the places to buy!

I ordered an ATI RADEON 32mb DDR AGP, white box. It did not work - vertical lines on my screen. Called them, sent it back. Before they had a chance to send a replacement, I remembered that I thought I saw SDR on it as I was packaging it to send. So I called them - they said that item # was for a SDR. It wasn't when I ordered it as was proven by my invoice and e-mail confirmation which both stated a DDR. Well, they did send the DDR but he made it sound like he was doing me a favor to not charge me the price of a DDR and because they didn't charge shipping (the second time). Well, duh, if they send a defective product which I DID pay shipping charges on and I pay to send it back, I sure would hope they wouldn't charge me another shipping charge!
So far, this one if working but I don't trust it; I don't trust them. Not only did they send a defective product, but it wasn't even the quality I had ordered. These are suppose to be new but I don't know if they are or not.

Ihave ordered from this company several times without problems. I purchased soundcard, memory, cpu, and winmodem.I found that the modem was defective several weeks after purchase. I e-mailed them and sent it back for replacement. They sent me a better version of the modem as a replacement. The new modem works perfectly. I would definitely order from them again.

I purchased a graphics card which was described on their site as an "ATI RADEON VE /DUAL DISPLAY/DVI 64MB AGP Retail" manufactured by ATI. The product that arrived was an OEM product, not manufactured by ATI and with different specs: the ATI product has one analog and one DVI interface -- this card had two analog interfaces.
I called CompuVest and they initially refused to admit it was not the real ATI card, and also refused to take it back without charging a restocking fee. Eventually, after about an hour on the phone they admitted it wasn't the card I ordered and agreed to take it back, but not to pay shipping.
They then credited my charge account for slightly less than the purchase price.

I don't know where to begin. But I hope you take these reviews seriously.
I found a really good price on a Soyo motherboard I wanted for a Christmas gift. So when I go on their website first of all the information of the board is wrong. But since I knew the board I assumed they made a mistake. But nonetheless I ordered without reading this website first. But after I read it I immediately got scared. The problem I noticed here was that people were getting DOA and items they didn't order. So I called them and spoke to a Javier (I think) who convinced me after many questions from me that the product was new and I would receive it by Christmas.
Ok I did receive it by Christmas and I noticed that the sticker on the box and anti-static wrap weren't knew. Installed it and it was in fact DOA, not a new DOA but an already used DOA.
I called and complained and they let me RMA it w/ a promise to return the shipping cost. After a week passed I went to their site and found out they had received it. But when I called and spoke to Javier again he told me that they had not. I said "but your website said you had". To make a sad story short, I called and spoke to someone else who said they did receive it and a after a couple of calls, techs on vacation and huge backlogs of RMAs I received me refund.
Moral: Read Reseller Ratings and don't say, "It won't happen to me".

This is my second order from Compuvest. In the first, they sent me a DOA graphics card. According to their warranty policy, I had to pay shipping back. They did send me a card that worked.
Then in this order they sent me a DOA CPU. Note in their warranty policy that the warranty on CPUs is 14 days from the date of invoice, and you have to have it back in their hands within 14 days. I had only had the CPU one day, and finally got them to agree I could return it. I had tried it in two different motherboards and it didn't even get warm. So again, I have to pay shipping back for a defectibe product. When they got it back, they insisted it was good, and they would only refund me the purchase price, less 15%. I successfully contested this on my credit card.
