This company provides awful customer service. I ordered a printer replacement tray, called to be sure they had it in stock, immediately ordered it based on their having it in stock, and five days later got an e-mail note saying they didn't have it and couldn't get it but could get me a refurbished tray. Called them, turns out they could get me one in a week. Couldn't count on their honest, will never do business with them again, ever!

ill never buy from this place again buyer beware
i ordered a laptop motherboard dv5000.
nextday a huge box shows up at my door and i thought i didnt order this what is it where did it come from , so i opened the box and it was a huge server motherboard with 4 cpu support, so i called them so they could shedule a ups pickup and they lied to me and told me i had to shedule the pickup, they didnt tell me it was a 10 dollar charge, so then they removed the ad no more instock.
i think their saleing what ever to use customers money and mail you a box of rocks then sorry and refund some needs to close these people down f.b.i inspection should be requested
COMTIINUED: to make matters worse i was told it would take 10 days to refund the customers money i ordered the board for and compuvest were advertizeing a board the did not even had. This review was modified by its author, wc_wickedclown, on

I will never order from this company again!
I ordered a 1gb ram chip for my desktop, to add to my existing 1gb system.
The chip didn't work with my existing ram, so I ordered another matching chip to cure the problem. My system wouldn't boot and after taking to a repair shop, I found the system would work with original chip, but not Compuvest.com chips. Unfortunately, compuvest said they would not accept returns on new opened products, and I was willing to forfeit a 25% restocking fee for each chip, but the return was beyond the 14 day period.
But I felt so much better when compuvest said I could list my chips on ebay.
I will NOT be doing business with Compuvest.com again.

i bought 2pcs NEW of 300gb DELL SCSI HDD that cost $248.13 each and sent me a refurbished FUJITSU brand. Beware!!! This are Dupies.

I bought a new OEM AMD mobile processor from compuvest because they were one of the few that still sold this particular model in new condition. The pricing was not cheap but within a reasonable range. The item arrived quickly and well packaged. I was skeptical and was expecting to get a used/refurbished product because of some of the reviews I have read, but I believe I got what I paid for, a new OEM product. No complaints here.

I ordered 5 RF remote controls. When we received the remotes we found the RF base stations to be missing. I called and explained that the remotes were supposed to include them (as stated on the manufacturer website and documentation) and that a RF remote will not work without the RF base station. They setup an RMA, but still charged me over $100 in restocking fees. I was also charged for shipping both ways.
BUYER BEWARE, THIS IS NOT A GOOD COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WITH.

My refurbished HP 12A toner cartridge from CompuVest is unusable. I emailed them about the severe shadowing and they never replied. I kept using it for months hoping it would get better, but it didn't. I'm writing this review now because I just got back from buying a replacement and I'm bitter.

This is my first experience with this vendor and it was EXCELLENT! My google search of replacement batteries for my notebook computer sent me here for what appeared to be exceptional prices. I placed my order on Monday and the shipment arrived via: FedEx on Friday! Everything was Brand New, factory original in retail packaging just as presented. Ordered 3 Zif Hard drives at separate times from Compuvest. The first one worked. The last two did not. I lost out on shipping and restock fees. They said the last drive tested as it worked fine, but it was not recognized by my netbook at all. I ordered the same hard drive off eBay from another seller and the drive was recognized by my netbook and works fine. I will avoid doing business with Compuvest from now on.

Buying from them is like gambling. I've ordered 3 times from them and recieved 2 out of the 3 orders.
First order was for a CPU and I received it in 3 days. I thought it was a good sign that I should order more often from them.
Second order was for a case, ram, psu, and a motherboard. I never received any of it.
Third order was placed a day after the second order because I forgot to order a cpu. I received it 19 days later. (I paid for 3-8 day delivery).
I emailed customer service and was told they would look into the missing order 2 months ago. They still haven't resolved this and haven't been responding to my emails. The only times I got a response was after I contacted Better Business Bureau, but it was never resolved. Compuvest resorted to blaming me that I had the "wrong tracking number" (I forwarded thier confirmation email they sent me, back to them showing the number was the one I recieved from them.) and that I "did not have a secure delivery location" ( I have close circuit DVR watching the entire perimeter of the house and reviewed 3 weeks worth of video without seeing thier delivery). They have the nerve to say "once it's delivered, the merchant's liability ends", but I never received thier shipment, as my cameras confirmed. For all I know, they could have shipped my order to the boss's-wife's-friend's-brother-in-law's-second cousin. The customer service rep, Ron, even wrote to the BBB that he "prefered that I order from somewhere else because of the difficulty of this customer". With all the hassles they gave me, I wouldn't order again anyway. I'm waiting a few days more before I file a dispute with my credit card company. All I want is my money back.

I purchased a 22" Vizio 720p Widescreen LCD HDTV Black VO22LHDTV10A (Refurbished,Plain box). I received what I expected except for the remote control.
The remote contained corrosion on the battery terminals out of the box. I cleaned it up and the remote worked for the 2 1/2 months since purchase, but now it has stopped working for good. I want Compuvest to send another one.
When I called, the person told me that the product was out of warranty and that unless I was ready to purchase a new product or new remote control, he couldn't help me. That's a pretty poor stance on a product that was defective in the first place.
Yes, I probably should have returned it immediately but that's hard & expensive to do with TVs.
Are they begging me to never buy from them again?

Was able to find a very rare ZIF harddrive model here, it shipped within one day and arrived within three days. I can say that I'm very impressed with the service and will order from compuvest in the future.

I saw a good price on a new Lacie hard drive so I called to confirm the part number and that they actually had them in stock. I was told yes they did have them and that they were new and not refurbished, I bought 3 of them. Guess what, they turned out to be refurbished, The part number on the website and over the phone did not match what they shipped me. It had an extra "R" on the end of the number. They said I had to pay for return shipping but offered a little discount if I kept them. I could have bought them much cheaper elsewhere if I wanted the refurbished model in the first place. I would say stay as far away from this company as you can based on this experience. If I had the time, I would have called my credit card company and refused payment - forcing them to pay for the return postage but I just didn't have the time. If they would have paid for return shipping, then I would have thought it was an honest mistake. At the best they take very little responsibility for their mistakes, at the worst they are crooks who hold buyers hostage. You decide.

I ordered two Logitech Communicate STX webcams from compuvest.com. The second order number is:200811060673. These are advertised as NEW but they are actually REFURBISHED! I received them in a "Plain Box" with no manual.The DVD that was sent with them has no lettering on it. The tag on the cord is cut in half. According to the Logitech company this means refurbished equipment. I will never purchase again from this dishonest company. Buyers beware!

I ordered an HP j6450 all in one printer and when I received it the ink cartridges were missing even though they were suppose to be with it. I emailed them and got an answer back within 3 hours that they were sorry for the inconvenience and were shipping the cartridges out that day. Except for the missing cartridges I received good service and the printer works great.
