I never managed to find a way for a new customer to establish an online account on their web site, even by placing items in the shopping cart and clicking the checkout button; the only options presented applied to returning customers. Undeterred, I dialed the toll-free order number and had the good fortune to be directed to Maxine, a very professional and personable sales representative, who created my new account and took my order for three refurbished hard drives (30GB, 40GB, and 120GB) for ancient Windows 98SE machines.  
 
Upon discovering that one of the drives had sold out while I was placing my order, Maxine helped me select a suitable substitute. Providing her direct extension number, she encouraged me to call with any question or problem that might arise. Immediately upon completing my order, she e-mailed a confirmation with a copy of my purchase order attached as a .PDF file. Even though my order was placed on a Friday afternoon, CompuVest's automated system sent an e-mail less than three hours later advising that my order had already been shipped and providing the UPS tracking number.  
 
The following Monday, the tracking number was also e-mailed to me by Maxine. Precisely as projected from the outset by UPS, my order was delivered on Thursday, six days after my order. The three hard drives came packed in a sturdy, corrugated cardboard box (approximately ten inches cubed) filled with styrofoam peanuts. Each individual hard drive was sealed in its own 3M Static Shield Bag within a bubble-wrap bag. All of the drives are spotless (including their labels), look almost new, and include their plastic jumpers.  
 
I was able to partition and format the two smaller drives with no problem whatsoever. Almost any BIOS dated after June, 1999, should be able to handle hard drive sizes up to 120GB. Nevertheless, my system BIOS (March, 2000) could not recognize the largest hard drive until I used an alternate jumper setting to restrict its size to 32GB. All of the drives appear to function like new ones; if they have any defects, I have yet to discover them.  
 
At this point, I am well pleased with CompuVest's merchandise, prices, and service, and I expect to give them more of my business in the future. If I were you, I would give Maxine a call.

Purchased a "used bulk" drive and drive bay adapter. Both arrived in excellent shape and well packaged. Installed drive and it fired right up. Plenty of onboard cache and is very fast. No errors. Going to use it for gaming.  
 
Good selection of hardware at CompuVest. This is my 2nd purchase and I will be back for more.

The McAlfeeSoftware was as expeceted....good. It does an excellent job for mine and my wife's personal computers. CompVest price was the best I could find even with the steep shipping fee.

Product was delivered exactly as described and actually included an extra power connection that was not in the description. I can live without fancy packaging in exchange for the terrific discount on this item. Every care was also taken to ensure the safe arrival of this item. Card was in antistatic bag, inside of bubble wrap, inside a box, inside of styrofoam packing material, inside of an exterior box. Will definitely look here for my next purchase.

I placed the order on Sunday. It didn't ship until Tuesday or Wednesday. I assumed it would ship on Monday. Had I known that, I would have made different shipping arrangements. Otherwise, everything was fine.

Web sight advertised free shipping and I was charged! Called them and they put me on hold for ever then hung up on me! Do not buy from them! Consider yourself warned.

Asrock motherboard was received quickly and in good condition.

don't believe their low prices. Ordered units that were in stock, a day later they called and said they were out of stock at "that price".

The item was shipped fast and I am using the adapter plug now. The item was shipped with tracking information which was very helpful. I recommend this seller to others.

The item was reccived in good condition in a timely manner. The price was right and the entire experience was very good.

Ordered a 7300gt agp video card. Needed a card with shader 3 for newer games on my aging system.  
 
Card was bulk new, in excellent condition and was packaged very well. Card was in anti-electro sleeve, inside of bubble wrap, inside of a small box; surrounded by peanuts. To my surprise, card came with a driver cd (out of date drivers which I didn't use, but nice to have anyways). Choose a freeshipping option, which gave a decent delivery time.  
 
So far I've had a fair amount of issues with the card. Tried to run it with tons of different settings. I have determined my over clocking was making the card unstable. Once I turned off overclocking, card was fine. Also I think my power supply is a little low for it, so I'm soon to get a better one.  
 
In short you have to know what your doing when you buy order parts like this. I have no idea how good compuvest's support is, but I would assume it's not that great; which should be expected with older components.

Fast Processing, Great shipping. Good Deals on still needed technology. I've Ordered 2 times before, Great customer service when needed. Overall I'm extremely happy.
