Ordered a Chaintech GT61 SE TI4600 and I recieved an opened box with a piece of tape holding the box closed. There were fingerprints on the card (the reflective gold part) so I knew it had been handled. I got a response suggesting that it was an OEM, but after 5-6 emails, I guess they stopped responding. Even though I got a decent deal ($225.00) at the time, I don't think I will shop with them again.  
I ordered the item December 19th and got it the 24th.

I recently ordered a XFX 4200 128meg 8X card from Micropro. What I received today was not the card that was advertised and expected and billed for. It was the older 4X model.  
I am currently trying to work with customer service to exchange the card for what I am invoiced for and what I originally orderded.  
Needless to say, it is going slow.  
 
Also, shipping took quite a while as well. Ordered on a Friday, had a ship to address issue which was resolved on the following Monday. My order which consisted of 2 sticks of ram plus the vid card didnt ship until Wednesday and arrived that Friday (I am only 2 states west).  
Not to be too critical there, but after dealing with the likes of newegg, one comes to expect timely processing and customer service, especially with a simple order.  
 
I hope they will honor what should have been right the first time.  
 
At this time I cannot recommend this company.  
 
UPDATE(3/31/03): Just got done working with Customer service to get a RMA to exchange. At first I was thinking, great goes from so/so to bad, but it worked out. Upon first chatting with the CS person, I got an "attitude" that came off to me as "how dare you say WE messed up", but after explaining the problem, it seemed to be just fine after that. He was more pleasant, got me the RMA, double checked my ship to address (as to not get it wrong!) and offered to reimburse my shipping expense. So, I must say they have stepped up to rectify the situation. Overall though, still a "slow/er" process. If you are wanting quick responsive("no hassle")service, stick with Newegg types. so at best, I am 50/50 with Micropro. Hope this is helpful.  
UPDATE(4.8.03):Well I am in the process of returning yet another card they just cannot seem to get right, this time for a refund. It seems they do not really care about the "little orders" and to this then why do they even bother? They are trying to help correct, but it is very slow and seems the communication between Customer Service departments isnt very clear. Save the time and trouble and look elsewhere for components.

Just bought a sweet Tyan video card from Micro Pro. The price was the best I could find and the shipping was very reasonable. Already installed the card, it was packed well, sealed brand new and am very pleased. Shipped on time, exactly as agreed.

Great experience. My dad had purchased from this company before and had good experiences. In fact, my old P3 450 MHz machine was built by Micro Pro and I never had any problems with it.  
 
I ordered a barebones kit with an ASUS A7V333 motherboard and Athlon XP 2100+ processor. I also upgraded the power supply to 400W and added a case fan. I was told that I would receive the package in about a week from the day of purchase. The package arrived one day later than the sales guy told me it would, which is no big deal in my book, so long as everything worked okay. I was very impressed with the packaging as compared to previous internet computer purchases I had made. The motherboard and processor were already installed as I had requested, so I simply added my IDE devices and AGP & PCI cards. Once I figured out that I was using the wrong type of IDE cable for the hard drive, I had absolutely no problems setting up this machine. It has been running great for a few days now. I am very satisfied. My only complaint (and it's not that big of a deal) is that they had attached the IDE LED cable backwards so it didn't work. I read in the ASUS manual that reversing the cable might solve this problem, and sure enough it did. I'm not going to get upset over something as trivial as that.  
 
Overall, I would highly recommend this company. They make good quality systems. The pricing may be 5-10% higher than some of the shady Pricewatch companies, but after the experience I had with EconoPC (a very shady company), it is definitely worth spending an extra $20-$50 to ensure that you're dealing with a reputable company.  
 
I won't go into details about my experience with EconoPC, but let me just say that it left a lot to be desired. EconoPC deserves its 0.5/10 reseller rating.  
 
Bottom line--if you are thinking about making a purchase from Micro Pro, have no worries. These guys are helpful and knowledgeable, and for the most part they deliver on what they promise.

I purchased a custom Pent 4 home computer and have returned it twice for repairs as the system continued to crash. Appears to be a hard drive failure which I'm waiting on the company to repair and return. So far the computer options and ease of ordering as well as response for support has been good. Will update rating upon return of computer.

I bought a TYAN 9700 PRO for what I consider to be a good price. The shipping was... well cheap but could have been quicker or a better shipping deal like the kind that Googlegear gives you. (UPS 2nd day free)

Very Good Service. I had Forgotten bout getting a heatsink and fan for my new motherboard and processor. They put one on and tested the board and processor to make sure everything is goinging to be working fine. Now thats what I call service.

On March 13th I ordered a Tyan motherboard  
from Mico Pro.  
The order was placed late on a Thursday.  
Before I ordered the motherboard I called the  
manufactures tech support and confirmed that  
it had a bus lock for agp/pci for reasons of overclocking.  
Before the motherboard was delivered I did some  
extensive Internet research on the board and found out that it did not have any agp/pci bus  
lock option. Without that option the motherboard  
is worthless to me, so I refused shipment of the motherboard and sent an email to Micro Pro  
explaining everything.  
They replied the next day with an email that  
said it would take 7 to 10 BUSINESS days  
after they receive the motherboard to issue a refund, minus shipping of course.  
Now... why would it take two weeks to issue me a refund???? My credit card was billed instantly  
when I ordered.  
I am not liking the looks of this and I am worried that I won't receive a refund at all after reading some of the old comments.  
There is also the issue of my money being tied up with them. I need that cash for the replacement board.  
I will update this with the date I receive a refund, if I receive one. If I don't receive one  
I will post that as well.

My Micro Pro Computer’s performance exceeds that of higher priced Del and Gateway computers. I also found that their follow up service and support is outstanding. Any one considering the purchase of a computer should seriously consider a Micro Pro.

Ordered a OEM PNY Ti4600 that failed about 8 months later. When I called Micropro I was able to recieve a RMA right away. The rep that gave me the RMA said they would ship the replecement card as soon as they recieve the broken one, but they ended up taking a week to ship the replacement. Other than that everything went smoothly. My replacement was a new PNY Ti4800 which worked fine straight out of the box.  
I seem to remember them haveing better prices when I initialy ordered the Ti4600 8 months ago.

THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE! We ordered a $4K system and never received it. We tried numerous times to contact MicroPro's sales dept by email and phone. No reply!!! When we tried to contact the sales manager, we were treated very rudely and then sent into a black hole. Finally, we phoned customer service and found our order had been cancelled altogether! Visa had denied credit because Micropro failed to provide enought info. Micropro had simply dropped the ball. At no time did anyone at Micropro accept any responsibility for this screw up. Instead they rudely blamed everyone but themselves. Customer support did offer to start a new order, but there is no trust left.

One Word. WOW! This was my FIRST Internet purchase. I found this reseller on pricewatch.com, and gave them a try. Their Customer service was not less than exceptional, and I recieved my package WAY before I thought I would. Most Definately, if I ever buy computer products again online, they will be my merchant of choice.  
By the way, I asked to fill this out. What I mean is I didn't stumble upon this site, and I've never heard of it before. I asked Micro Pro if they had a customer satisfaction survey I could fill out.  
For those who don't know, statistics prove that a customer with a bad experience will tell AT LEAST 10 people. A customer with a good experience will tell only 2. I definately see myself falling into that category most times, as I hardly ever give credit where credit is due. This company, however, impressed me SO much that I feel it ONLY right to re-pay the service with this rating.  
Thank you fellas very much, definately the best service I've had in a while.

Order an item that on the web site claimed to be in stock. Company called and stated they were out-of-stock and gave an approx. date for shipment. This was fine.  
However, they went through and charged my card for the item they didn't even have in stock! This did not please me. I emailed them and cancelled the order. Micro-Pro seems to be a decent company. This was my first time ordering from them, and they didn't really do much to keep me coming back.  
So, basically I have two problems with this company:  
1) Their website claimed something in stock when it wasn't.  
 
2) They charged my card before they even had my item in the store.  
 
Be a little cautious when ordering from them. They seem on the level, but watch your credit card with them.  
On the upside, their customer service is quick to respond to problems and are timely with answers to questions or complaints.
