!!!!PLEASE REPORT THEM TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU OF BROOKLYN NY LIKE I HAVE!!!!

I would NEVER use this company EVER again. This is a scam company. If you order an item, you will be contacted by a sales person to let you know that your item is on back order. I was told that the item I purchased was of low quality and may never come in. They claim that the item on their website was an International camera that was a poor quality. But yet they are still selling them on their web site and they never disclose that information. I was sold another package, which was a whole lot more. No problem, when I got the order I was overcharged and did not get what I ordered over the phone.
After more research I found out that I am not alone. When I call customer service they hung up on me several times and I was told off. Take your pick. If you like this kind of treatment then by all means deal with this company. If not PLEASE report them for their selling practices like I am.

Glad I found this site! I was just about to fill out their order form and order a Samsung 52" LCD from them, when I thought I had better look for a review for this place first. Thank you!!!!!!!!!
If you have given your credit card information to these thieves, cancel your card immediately! Aside from their scamming with their merchandise, I had four $100 charges posted to my credit card from an adult online entertainment site. Don't wait and just monitor your credit card account--close it now.
BEWARE!!!! Bait & Switch!!! Rude!!! Condescending!!!! Dishonest!!! High Pressure!!!
placed order Fri 1/9. rcv'd confirmation email same day with order #. rcv'd following email Sun 11th:
Thank you for your recent order with us. Please contact us at 888-313-7468ext.283 so that we may confirm your order with you. Please make sure to press my extension (283) as I will personally be handeling your order.
Thank you,
Ken
Didn't see email before (Ken?) called. Was very vague why the camera kit I selected could not be purchased for price stated online. High pressure, said camera sold for about 500 in stores, etc... Web price with accessories kit was 233.75. after offering it to me for 450ish with overnight shipping I canceled the order.
Frustrated I called back to see if I could just order the camera w/o the kit (249.00) The sales person was EXTREMLY RUDE!!! He tried to tell me I needed a battery pack and charger with this camera (Canon Powershot A650) He was very condescending, and lied about the camera taking AA batteries - I told him I was looking at canon's website and it DID take AA batteries. He said it took a proprietary battery and charger. He said that price was just for a bare import camera with no "battery pack" or charger or cords with chinese manuals. When I insisted it took AA batteries according to Canon's own web site and my personal experience with a friend that has that very camera he asked me if I could read Chinese. I told him I'd just borrow my friend's manuals. That ticked him off I guess b/c I asked him if I could buy just the camera and he said "yeah, call us back in seven weeks" and HUNG UP!!! This is the rudest company I have ever dealt with. Bait & Switch. High Pressure. Dishonest. Condescending. Etc... I only hope they don't misuse my credit card. BEWARE!!!!!!
DO NOT even think of using this site!!! I placed an order for a canon 5D mark II (body only- $ 1,899.00) and a canon vixia HG21 ($ 499.00) with next day shipping ($ 102.30)on Dec. 22, Icalled to see if they had shipped this order on the 23rd and they preceded to try to sell the whole camera dept. to me. When I said I already had lens etc. they became irritated but said that the items would be here by Chistmas. I received another confirmation email with a new order status- 'House Sale' I did not get any shipment from them but the following week someone called my bank and tried to got my account #'s and money using the same information that this site collected for the order.
Could be coincidence. But I had to cancel the credit card and change many accounts with my bank.
Needless to say, I should have known that the prices were not real and I wish I had checked this ratings site first.
AGAIN- Stay clear of this fraudulent site!
This was positively the worst buying experience of my life. The only way to explain this in short is a bait and switch con. Don't buy anything from this company

I saw their add for a Nikon D90. Price was too good, website listed no physical address. I emailed them per contact form on their website asking for physical address. I have received no reply whatsoever. Caveat emptor indeed.
This company is a scam! Do not order from them. I tried to get a Nikon D60 with 2 lenses at a great price. Shortly after ordering, I saw their reviews here and knew I made a mistake. I tried calling them without an extension but no one answered. I looked on the confirmation email and used that extension and Ken (ext. 283) answered almost immediately and was put on hold for close to 10 minutes before I was told the lenses were plastic and needed to upgrade to the "precision glass" lenses. I told Ken That Nikon didn't make plastic lenses and he became very rude and said that it was back-ordered, and proceeded to cancel the order even though the website says they have a huge selection in stock, or something like that. I was VERY dissatisfied with my whole experience with this company.
Poor Service - Placed an order that showed in stock, called a week later to check on shipping and was told that it would ship the following Monday. Called again 6 days after the recent ship date only to be informed that the item was on backorder with 6-8 weeks avail. There was no proactive communication from Shop Digital Direct except a Sales Call trying to up sell accessories for the item I ordered. I have cancelled my order and would advise steering clear of their low price come on's.
This is a “bait and switch” operation based in Brooklyn, New York. Listed under a bogus search engine, www.diduprice.com, Shop Digital Direct (SDD) listed the Canon VIXIA HV30 camcorder for $329.00. This was in December, 2008 and the price was over $250.00 less than any other site I could find.
I ordered the unit on line and received an email from SDD requesting that I call them (888-313-7468) to “verify” the order. After many attempts, busy signals, etc. I was able to reach them to verify my order only to be told that I needed a battery that was not included, which is not true and a charger which would increase the price to $699.99.
Unfortunately I agreed without checking this web site first, but there is a remedy if you find yourself in the same situation. I suggest the following steps:
1. Send them an email at customerservice@shopdigitaldirect.com to cancel your order and that they not charge your credit card. They will ignore your email and SDD will send you an email under C.M. Photo after they bill your credit card and ship the product.
2. Call your credit card company and dispute the charge. Your credit card company will credit your account.
3. SDD sent my shipment by UPS without requiring a signature so the package was simply left at my door.
4. DO NOT OPEN THE PACKAGE. Keep a record of the tracking number and return the unopened package to any UPS store or facility and asked them to return it as a “refused shipment”.
5. The package will be returned to SDD at there cost and use the tracking number to verify that they received it.
Of course, the best “cure” is prevention so don’t get involved with SDD under any circumstances.
SCAM SCAM SCAM!!! Placed order online from SHOPDIGITALDIRECT. Rec'd phone call from fast talking "Ken", J AND K CAMERA from a non working phone (718-787-2041) following evening, trying to double price of order. Realized it was a scam as "Ken" charged my card day after we ordered, under another assumed name of INFINITYCAMERAS.COM, even though NO product was shipped--that's illegal!!! Ken told me they lied to me, product was shipped, he was gonna charge me 50% restocking fee, sue me for all I'm worth, etc. I hung up, called credit card company, got amount suspended & a credit for merchandise never shipped. STAY CLEAR OF ALL OF THESE COMPANIES!!!

Typical bait and switch! The original price on an emailed invoice for a Nikon D3 Package #2 was $2465.60, an awesome price. After I got off the phone with "Victor" because he was so concerned and wanted to confirm my order and that I was the one who placed the order, the total came to $5999.00. Within an hour I tried calling back to cancel the order. But there was no answer. (I could find this at my local store for the same price.) Over the next few days I would try to call on my way to work, I have a 45 min commute, but just got recordings and put on hold for my 45 min ride. Finally on the third day I got a hold of someone, sounded like "Victor" and I told him that I could get this camera at my local store for the same price or slightly less. At which time he became irate and yelled at me telling me that I could not do business like this and ordered me to give him the name of the store where I could purchase this camera at a better price. (I really didn't check but I gave him a name of a local store. He promptly pulled up their web site and said "see look, it's $4000 that's more that what you will pay with me.") At that time he quickly changed the subject because he realized that it came with everything he was trying to charge me separately. He then became even more irate and started berating me for being cheap and not wanting to pay the $6K. At this time it became a shouting match with him just short of calling me some four lettered word and me telling him to please cancel my order. I even offered to let him charge me a cancellation fee. This made him even more mad and never took the offer. (Which is quite odd.) After an hour of this going back and forth he hung up on me but left by saying something that made me feel that I would be sorry for canceling the order. My CC company called because I have fraud protection and sure enough they were trying to process the order for $6000 even though I previously sent two emails to cancel the order and spent an hour on the phone with "Victor." I explained all this to my CC company and they said they would note this information and would watch the activity on my CC. Sure enough as I was speaking to them she said it looks like they are trying to process this order again. Not too soon after hanging up with my CC company I got a phone call on my cell phone and it was "Victor" apologizing and that there would be no cancellation fee and the order was canceled. Moral of this story, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. I will never do business with them and their other "doing business as" companies.
STAY AWAY! Found a good deal on a camera, placed the order, gave my credit card number. Next day get an e-mail asking to call and confirm order. Only then I was told the price did not include a battery or battery charger - even though it is included in the box from the manufacturer!!! Despite the "in stock" info on the web site, over the phone they told me it would take 6-8 weeks for the store to get it and some additional time to ship it to me! The entire thing seems more like a scam than just incompetence. Either way, stay away
NEVER BUY FROM SHOPDIGITALDIRECT! I had been researching best price for a Nikon D90. SDD had over 20 package deals and one for 1189.00 was what I ordered. I got a call from a salesman early the next morning (woke me up) and he said for 119 more he'd do this and that... he actually "upgraded" my memory chip, both lenses, carrying case, lens filters, card reader..I must have been crazy to accept his offer of what he said was $3500 worth of stuff for 2199.99 out the door. I can't believe I didn't ask for an invoice, inventory of items or anything and told I needed it by the following weekend. He 'threw in' express shipping. It took them 5 days just to ship it and it didn't arrive for another 8 days. The lenses were not Nikons best VR lenses as I was told. No 'professional' tripod (a table tripod was listed on the invoice but not enclosed) nor was an aluminum hard case for the camera. CAVEAT EMPTOR. Let the buyer beware. NO ONE has responded to my two emails and can't get through on the phone. How can we put these guys out of business. They are crooks!
This bunch of Rotten Garbage should be taken out for good. I nearly purchased a Nikon D90 at an unbeleivable $300.00 less than anywhere else I could find. I decided to check out the reseller website and found all of this misfortune and scammed people.
