THANK YOU STEVE! I ordered the Sony HX1 camera and I have to say the service and advice was unlike any online purchase ever. Steve provided EXPERT advice, was super friendly, listened and provide an outstanding customer experience. Now have camera and am using it. BEST SERVICE EVER RECIEVED ONLINE AND MUCH BETTER THAN 99% OF SPECIALTY STORES I HAVE SHOPPED AT IN PERSON!
I ordered a camcorder battery from them. On the product description page, it was listed as an AC Delco battery 8 hr. The battery I received was a Power 2000 by Vidpro. I emailed them about the mix up, and they referred me to customer service. The customer service rep told me that they had not gotten around to changing the manufacturer on the website, but that it really was an AC Delco battery because Vidpro had bought the AC Delco battery division. He told me there was nothing he could do, but they would change the website. I called Vidpro, and was referred to a technician who told me that there was no way possible that it was an AC Delco battery, based on the part number, although they did license AC Delco batteries over 10 years ago.So, basically, I ordered an AC Delco battery, and got a power 2000 battery. I ordered the AC Delco because of the name, and did not get what I wanted. After all this, I researched the part number of the battery, and found that it was a 3.5 hr battery and could be bought for 30.00. I paid 150.00 for this inferior product based on false advertising.

I took a screen shot of the ad on Jan 29, 2010. They have since changed it to include the Vidpro name, but still list it as an AC Delco battery.
Update;
I have spoken with a representative from Abe's of Maine, and he has had my purchase refunded. He has also taken additional steps to insure my complete satisfaction, and apologized for any inconvenience I may have experienced. I feel confident in my relationship with this company after speaking with them.

I personally did not order the product from Abe's Of Maine, it was ordered from there as a gift from someone to myself. I had done some research when I was told this is who they were ordering from and was feeling much better with the results of my research other than from another company I had previously ordered this item from but shortly after cancelled.
A Nikon Speedlight SB-600 was the item ordered, it was ordered on February 1st, shipped on the 2nd and it arrived today on February 4th and I am THRILLED with the product, it works beautifully, was brand new and had no problems what so ever. I would order from them any day. Fantastic.
ORDER #V99971 prices are reasonable. 'called to place an order for a DVD player, salesman was really helpful in recommeding/offering related products to my order, though I didn't need anything else. 'very patient. ' will do business again.
I was very pleased with my dealings with Abe's of Maine. The price was great, the shipping was reasonable and fast, and the customer service was excellent. As an added bonus I received a call from Steve following up on my camera to see if I was happy (and I am happy with the Panasonic camera. This is rare for online merchants, so thanks again to Abe's of Maine. I will shop online there again. I would shop in person but I live 2500 miles away!
Purchased a Bosch 36" gas cooktop from Abe's after Sears bungled our original order and we canceled. It was a pleasure dealing with Steve. He was knowledgeable, responsive and made me feel that my order was in good hands. Placed the order and they shipped it out the next day. I have never seen such a good packing/packaging job. The cooktop arrived in pristine condition.
I used Abe's of Maine to purchase my sister's family a JVC Everio camcorder over the holidays. Steve, the salesman contacted me back to confirm the transaction and was helpful with other items that would be useful in this purchase. I will definetly be a repeat customer and in fact, I just put in a order with them for a NESCO Gardenmaster dehydrator to use in making beef jerky. Thanks Abe's of Maine and Steve.
I have had positive results in dealing with this company. My purchases include over $2000 in Nikon photographic equipment and - in each transaction - I have been more than satisfied, both with the low prices and fine service. Representatives from the company occasionally contact me and ask that I provide feedback for them on Resellerratings. I think that this is a good thing since it shows how much the company is concerned with retaining its good reputation. All of their reps have been courteous and helpful. The last one I spoke to was Steve G. to whom I'll soon give a call for my next purchase.

Very satisfactory order. Steve was very helpful with info and with processing the order. Delivery was quick and the product was as advertised. All in all a very satisfactory transaction.
