Purchased an 8GB flash drive. Abe's had the best price on the internet and the item was shipped promptly. Will not hesitate to do business with Abe's again.

I have purchased several items from Abe's of Maine over the last few years. Their prices (including shipping) have always been extremely competitive. Shipping is super fast and the products have been exactly as advertised with no surprises.

Placed my first order with Abes on Tuesday. (Ordered 2 Samsung lcd/led tv's and some related equipment). Spoke with a sales associate (Larry) who was seemingly helpful, but did give me certain bits of information that were not accurate. For example, he assured me the slim samsung wall mounts were in stock and would ship with the rest of my order, despite the fact that the website stated that the item was on backorder. Regardless, when I called to cancel my order, spoke with Jake in shipping, who appeared to be one of the main supervisors at Abes. He did make an effort to resolve my issues, and offered a credit to make up for the fact that the mounts were not in stock - he also told me where I could find the mounts for cheaper on the Internet. So far, I would say that Abes has been acting appropriately. I paid for expedited shipping and white glove service, so I will update this posting shortly as to how that turned out. (I was also assured that my related equipment would arrive on or before the delivery my tv's - we shall see). As I have read some confliting reports on this site regarding their delivery service and responsiveness, I am hoping that things go smoothly and that I can report back good results.

Bought SB-900 from Abes. Excellent service speedy delivery (next day!!!). Definitely recommend. This is my second purchase, bought lens from them earlier, same pleasant experience. They even called and offer me to buy filters from them, how nice. No pressure though, like other store I had a misfortune to buy a camera from (I don't think it's appropriate to mention the name in this review). Overall Abes is my choice for photo equipment, as newegg is my choice for PC equipment. Way to do business Abes, will definitely buy from you again (if prices stay same low:))

I purchased a Canon Speedlite 430EX II from Abe's. Before I placed the order, I went in pricegrabber.com and Abe's price was the lowest. Plus, I got to use the $10 coupon Abe's sent me after my previous order, which made this purchase even more attractive. As usually, the processes of ordering and getting confirmation and delivery of what I ordered was painless. I would definite order from Abe's again and recommend Abe's to others as well. Keep up the good job, Abe's.

Purchased an 8GB compact flash card from Abe's of Maine and got the best price out there. Their card cost the same as a 4GB card at Best Buy; subtract a $15 rebate, and I got the best price on the market. Fast shipping, great customer service, I will definitely shop here again. My only complaint is the copious amounts of email they send out regularly.

I was never updated correctly about the shippment,when the salesman was selling the better shipping method and then they said,we dont care,know about the shipping,you have to contect the shipper.i did not choose the shipper.they trapped me with better shipping rate and so much of other bad deals.i will never ever recommend them to anybody.this is the second biggest order to them from me.thank god i waited for this order to complete before ordering my other goods.there are much better reseller who really cares and spoke nicely to thier customers..they are rude after the order is done.

I recently purchased a hard-to-find Pioneer KRP-500m plasma display at Abes. I was a bit reluctant, since I had never bought from them before, and I saw a few negative reviews online. Still, the overwhelming majority of recent reviews were positive, so I took a chance.
Boy, am I glad I did! The TV arrived very quickly, in perfect condition. When there was a mix-up, and the stand was not included, I called and only waited about 5 minutes on hold while the representative checked for me. Turns out the stand was back-ordered, but I found the same stand in stock locally, so I cancelled the order. Kobe, their customer service manager, was very helpful in making sure that my account was fully and quickly credited, and sent me an e-mail to make sure I was completely satisfied....wow!

A co-worker mentioned about getting a camera from Abe's. I had looked on the internet for feedback and at some sites was questionable. I came here and overall the reviews were positive so thought I'd order, plus they had the best price for what I wanted.
Placed order early in the morning Nov. 3rd, received a phone call from Jack to verify zip code and the offers to upgrade, insurance, etc.. but wasn't pushy at all.
Received e-mail saying package had been shipped, on Nov. 4th package had been delivered. When I need more equipment, Abe's will be on my list of vendors to look at. A very pleasant experiance.

When you see those unbielieable prices on the internet, don't believe them. In the end it will cost you more in cash and agrrivation. I have 2 or three camera stores that always get you what you want at a great price and usually in 1 or 2 days.Abes is the top one. I found a lower price and they not only met it, they beat it. After a lot of research and window shopping I bought a brand new TV(Samsung LN46B650) from Abes of Maine a couple of weeks ago. It came on time and undamaged (physically). I (fondly), hooked it up to power and turned it on. It felt fine with just stars on the screen(as expected) and I turned it off. This would have taken a minute or two. I called the Cable guys and got it installed urgently but only to see that after a couple of minutes the TV shows really annoying flickers. I checked everything and the cable guy also tried everything he knew but to no avail. We called Samsung and the call center lady spilled the beans by saying that there is a fault with the video card on this TV model (may be on few sets and not all) which is known to samsung. When I asked her as to why they are still selling the TV without the fix, she had no proper reply. Not only the TV showed flickers, after a few more minutes the entire screen was white with colors floating around. I called Abes Of Maine and they asked me to contact Samsung as they cannot do anything about it. They have a no return / exchange policy on TVs (I have also sent an email and I am awaiting their reply). It has been almost a month and Samsung has done nothing about it. I have called them more than 10 times and in the subsequent calls they have denied that there was any preexisting issue with the TV. Well, regardless of if was preexisting or not, samsung service is not professional or courteous. They were not even apologetic about my frustration due to their product.
The return policy of AbesOfMaine for TVs is not customer friendly at all. I cannot comment about the product quality yet but I can certainly request potential TV buyers to buy TV from stores who have a good return policy (Costco etc.) and avoid buying TV online.
Latest update: Abes Of Maine representative called and asked me to ship it back (AT MY COST) and then get a replacement (AT MY COST for shipping). I denied that immediately and continued with my efforts of replacement with Samsung. I am thinking of going to the consumer court , BBB and to the TV channels as well.

Abe's of Maine had exactly what I needed for my Nikon D5000 DX-Forma Digital Camera Body/Tamron 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 VC Lens Bonis Kit.I place the order on Oct.27.2009. Next day UPS tried delivery to my work place, eventhough it's fail for delivey attempting because incorrect street name I gave them on web.So that the package was return to them on Oct.29,2009.They rescheduled delivery a new package to me over the weekend. I got it on Nov.2,2009 by UPS at their cost.The store is trustworthy choice for me ! Price is good and support is great !
