If you're like me, an online shopper, shop here. Easy, fast turn around time, and couldn't beat the price. Had an issue with the shipping, but that wasn't there fault and they more than made it up to me. Customer service was one of the best I've dealt with and it's been alot in the past few days. And by the way, I'm picky. Consider me a satisfied will return customer...

Order arrived quickly and in perfect shape. The price was very competitive and I would not hestitate to order from ABE'S of Maine again.

On 10/29/09 I ordered a Plasma TV from this store. On 10/30/09 I received a call from 'William' ostensibly to verify my order but it was an attempt to sell me a warranty, special shipping, cables and other hardware,etc. I refused the added items. They immediately charged my credit card for well over $1,000 and then sat on the order without shipping. I waited almost a week and then called Customer Service. They told me that they had shipped the TV but it had been damaged by the trucking co. so they would send me another. I waited a total of two weeks and then called Customer Service again & spoke with 'John' who after hearing my story and researching the problem told me that the replacement for the damaged TV had arrived from the factory with a crushed corner on the box and they didn't want to send that out to me since the carrier had damaged the first load. I told him to cancel the order and refund the funds he had taken from my credit card account. Five days later I received a email from Abe's saying they were crediting my account.  
Incidently: Abe's of MAINE is not in Maine. They give their location as NEW YORK but they are actually in NEW JERSEY.

I have been wanting this espresso/coffee maker combinationa machine for 2 years, but the price stopped me from buying it new. Abe's of Maine had the cheapest price on the internet for this product. Although refurbished, all parts were present, including the instruction manual and it was in the original box, just as if it were new. Keep in mind that I have been searching for this machine for 2 years now, even as a used or refurbished item. Abes had the best price of anyone on the internet. I even got a call from customer service after I received my item to make sure I was satisfied. I will do business with Abe's of Maine again and I will let other know about the deal I got there.

Update: 11/17/09  
I was contacted by David today but was unable to speak to him on his initial contact attempt. He then sent me multiple emails regarding my case. I gave him a call and he said he would like to work things out. He agreed to send me a new unit that same day and have the damaged unit sent back to him upon delivery of the new unit. I am eagerly awaiting the new tv and hoping that it arrives in good condition. I am optimistic that this situation will be resolved which would greatly change my opinion of Abe's of Maine in a positive manner.

I spent $1600 of my hard earned money on a 50" Pioneer KRP-500M from Abes of Maine. I regretfully made the mistake of buying from them because of the low price and a friend's recommendation. Never again will I make the mistake of buying anything from them and neither should you.  
 
The product I had ordered had a foot long crack in the upper left hand corner. The crack is nearly impossible to see unless you shine a flashlight on it, look at it eye level and about 4 inches away. I have now learned that this is a very common problem for this unit caused by mishandling of the unit. The issue has been documented on a msg board with nearly 100 cases of the cracked display. Most of the other etailers have no problems with sending out a replacement unit. This is not the case with Abe's due to their "No return, there is nothing we can do" return policy.  
 
Upon discovery of the crack, I spoke to an Abe's customer service rep and they requested that I send in a photo of the damage which I did the same day. Mike S(a buyer)said they would file a claim with Icat(shipping company) to which he said my claim was denied and there was nothing he could do. I then later called and spoke to another customer service rep and was again told that there was nothing they could do. He then had a manager call me who again told me there was nothing they could do and told me to contact their general manager. It seems like they are just trying to give me the runaround and waste my time.  
 
I will do everything in my power to get my hard earned money back and let it be known on forums, social networking sites, price comparison sites, etc that they are a scam of a company.

Abe's of Maine provided excellent service. They kept me informed via email at every step of the process. The camera arrived quickly and works great.

I don't write reviews of stores. Ever. But this store pissed me off so much that whenever I see an ad of theirs, my blood boils. The only reason I shopped there were all the good reviews. Now, I suspect that they were all fabricated.  
 
I purchased a TV-stand/media center in July, 2009. Other than the automated reply on the day of order, there was no communication from them. The order status on their online page hadn't changed in two weeks. I called only to get a VERY rude salesperson who basically told me that they'd tell me when it shipped and if they hadn't emailed me that it shipped then it hadn't shipped and there was no need for me to call them.  
 
When the package finally arrived, it was nearly falling out of the very poorly packed box. I can't imagine that this was the original shipping box. It looked as if it was pieced together from bits and pieces of cardboard they had lying around. My impression was that this was a demo unit that they finally shipped when they couldn't ship me a new unit.  
 
Because of the size and weight of the unit, I decided not to return it as the return shipping fee would probably be more than the thing was worth and it would mean having to deal with the amazingly annoying employees at Abe's of Maine again.  
 
I left a message about my disappointment with them and, surprise surprise, heard nothing back. "We got your money, sucker, now get lost!"  
 
Do yourself a favor, DO NOT SHOP THERE. Shop ANYWHERE else. You have been warned.

10% lower price than anyone else online. I paid $0.00 for FREE shipping. I live on the opposite coast of the USA and the same day google checkout said they charged me, the unit arrived at my door. I was so fokkkin surprised. It took 2 days (because they had their supplier ship from their wharehouse in my state)!! Saves them money and keeps me happy. I'm currently waiting for a replacement of a defective unit on another purchase (via Amazon.com) and I'll update later, but it seems their Amazon department (Victor) knows how to take care of his customers!!

Sheldon was absolutely wonderful!! He was very professional and willing to answer all of my questions and did not try to rush me off the phone. I truely enjoyed working and ordering from him. I had not had such a positive experience with a co-worker. Made it a pleasure and renewed my faith in Abes of Maine.

Great service, knowledgeable staff, very good prices plus I got free shipping & a $10 loyalty coupon to boot. Shipped the Zoom recorder and SD memory card the next day and received it a few days later. Not the first time I've ordered from them. They have good customer ratings on several sites. Important for 1st order since some sites can be real dogs...just check out some of the horro stories on resellerratings.com or other sites. ABE's is a great place to buy from, with helful staff, fast shipping and very fair & competitive prices.
