Recently bought a new computer from IBP, and I thought I would rate them.
Customer service:
In this area, IBP can use some improvement. I had called five or six times while I was waiting on my computer to be delivered, and the first time I called, the man (didn't get his name) told me that my order was somewhat different from what I remembered (I was on vacation and out of town, so I couldn't look at my hard copy). He said I had only one video card on order, instead of two was the main thing, and I was seriously tempted to cancel my order then and there. I chose not too, and decided to call the next day to try and resolve this serious issue. This time I talked to Pauline. Very professional and helpful. She's the one that saved IBP from losing a sale. The other times I called all met expectations.
Packaging:
Was impressed with the packaging. They utilized foam to surround the inner box, and more foam inside the computer itself. Nothing damaged en-route and nothing was dislodged. Exceeded expectations (kudos to Fedex too, for making a redelivery on the same day to me without me asking).
Product:
I'll start off by saying this: WOW.
This is a monster of a computer I have. I am very impressed with it, and it is working flawlessly so far (well, except a minor issue I had with Windows Updates... just a suggestion IBP, but you may want to consider doing that, installing all the updates to further exceed expectations). Of course, I've only had it for a couple of days, but I am very impressed with it so far.
Over all, I highly recommend IBP if you are in the market for a new computer.
This is a great computer. Ordered it on July 5th, credit card was approved on the 7th, and my order was shipped on the 15th. The only problem with the whole experience was a rush shipping issue. I ordered 3 day rush shipping, and it was supposed to ship out two days earlier than it did. This wasn't a huge problem, and when I called, Pauline immediately gave me a refund for the rush service (I didn't even ask, wow). Overall, their customer service is very good. Every time I called (save for the first time, first business day after 4th of July weekend and the line was busy) I was connected to somebody who answered my questions quickly. The only problem with customer service was a lack of communication. My system didn't meet the rush shipping date due to a "glitch" that they found during testing. I don't know what this glitch was, but I feel that if I hadn't called them to check up on it, it probably wouldn't have shipped out as quickly as it did. There were no emails informing me of this glitch or anything but it all worked out in the end. This computer is beautiful. It was a pain in the ass building my first computer and it was much nicer sitting on my ass while iBuyPower built this one for me. They are a great company and I advise anybody looking for great prices and great computers to order from iBuyPower.
For those who bitch about the customer service, you have to remember that this is a very popular business that has to fulfill many orders. Be patient and keep a cool head, everything will work out nicely if you don't react badly.
I love my new machine and I think I'll be bappy for another 2 years or so. My experience with ibuypower was at the same time positie and interesting. I was on the market for a powerful PC so I was pretty much a good customer and all the salesperson had to do was sell it to me and more important make me feel good about my order. I talked to about two other representatives at ibuypower who were pretty much useless (they knew thier stuff but were awful salespeople)until I finally talked to Bryan and this pretty much sealed my purchase. He knew his stuff although I wish he could take the time to give me more details on the different components I was orering. But really, I am a picky person and I still think he did a great job. After a few days, I decided to make a change to the order and that was no problem so I was very happy with that.
The computer took a little longer to get assembled than I expected but I was in no rush. In all, it took 10 days for it to be shipped and really, I rather my computer be assembled with care than shipped quickly and messy. Once it was shipped it arrived in two days! and I love that!
The packing was flawless, really I was impressed with the care they took for the packing and felt really good after reading some not so postitve reviews about computer arriving broken, etc...
Even with the perfect packing the moment I opened the cover I noticed that my hardrives were all over the place...not a big deal stuff moves during shipping. I had to reattach both the power and data cables for my two hardrives and I admit I was quite nervous about them working properly but they are running perfectly and I have no complaints. Finally, I wished the monitor he recommended me would be a little better, I am not sure I am in love with it but for the price it will do. The only thing that annoys me is that there is a dead pixel on the center of the screen and I know how reluctant companies are to take returns based on one damn annoying pixel.
Overall... I am really happy with this machine. Cannot compare to anything I had before, dell or HP or whateverr. It is quiet and powerful!

Two months ago I ordered a laptop for college. After much research, I found ibuypower to offer the best price for the most power. I read a couple of bad reviews and was hesitant to order, but did so anyway. I'm glad I did. My sales rep Bryan was very helpful. The laptop took shipped a day earlier than projected. It came without bloatware, but did not have the newest nVidia drivers which were easy to update. The laptop is sturdy and has held up well so far. The packing was very good and it was shipped in a relatively plain box as a theft deterrent. My computer came with some free extras that I did not fully expect to arrive. The free case was a nice touch, but it did not offer adequate protection so I bought a better case. Overall, I am very impressed with ibuypower and will order from them again.
I placed my order with iBUYPOWER on 13 May, and then changed my mind from an AMD desktop to a Core i7 desktop - I called immediately and Brian in their customer service department was very easy to deal with. He canceled my original order and gave me instructions for submitting another - my computer was built and shipped here by the 27th. It arrived extremely well packed, and works great - I would definitely do business with them again!
AWESOME!!!! AWESOME!!!! I have had my computer for two months now. I did not review sooner because of travel but I have been more than pleased with the Customer Service and Tech Support. Pauline was patient when I made my order and was a great help in making the right decisions. Tally and Kenny offered the best Tech Support I have ever had. Many Thanks IBP.
The delivery was fast. The price was competitive. Everything was as described. The only thing that did not match my expectation was the performance speed. I was expecting a little better performance from the specifications that we had selected.
I talked via e-mail with Luc from ibuypowers tech support with an issue I had with my computer. It wouldn't boot up and my mouse wasn't lighting up, so I told Luc that, and he helped me not only figure out what the problem was quickly, but led me to finding out how to fix it as well. If Luc is anything like what the techsupport of ibuypower is, then I definitely say this is one of the best tech supports i have had the privilege of dealing with. If you decide to go with ibuypower pcs, and for some reason a year or more down the line you have issues with it, don't hesitate to email their tech support or give them a call. Ask for Luc(pronounced Luke) and you're problem will most likely be fixed shortly there after.
IBP was very good. i got my computer 1 week earlier than i thought i would!! Luc D. Drouin from technical support was very kind and helpful. no problem through and a great computer to boot. i will be making another purchase from IBP.
I really was hoping the experience would not turn out like this. I read other reviews and thought things would be different. I received my PC about two weeks after ordering. I changed a few things which delayed the order, but I understood that and when I received the PC. Upon arrival I turned the unit on and immediately received cpu temperature warning. the sound also did not work and the PC was very slow. The case was also scratched. I called and they paid for shipping. Too about 3 weeks to repair. Received the PC back in with a larger scratch, the sound did not work and was getting all kinds of errors. Sent it back again and was built a new unit. It is now May and once I got the new unit upa nd running, it blue screened and then started random rebooting. Then it died all together. In terms of trying to make it right, IBUYPOWER did try. They paid for shipping each time also. In terms of built quality, the wiring was clean and put together nice. Reliability and quality control I think needs some work and tweaking. I also forgot to mention that the cpu cooler ont he second unit arrived back dirty with debris in it. Not good. Customer service they receive an A. Quality and reliability they receive an F.

Very poor customer service. Ordered June19, called them back few days later to add the rush job to ensure I will get it on time and found out that the order was on hold for a backorder dvd player. Would be nice if they let you know that. Tech offered to upgrade to another dvd, which i accepted and I asked to upgrade to a rush order. She convinced me only to do the 5 day option since it had been more than five days already. My credit card was charged right away. Few days later called back to check status, since they dont update the online status page(still shows credit card charged 6/22) found out from another tech that he had no idea what the last tech promised, but could see that I paid for a rush order. He stated its in build status and couldnt offer any other info. Not rude just useless. Its now July 8th and still nothing. They havent responded to numerous emails I have sent them. Very poor service... I hope my system is at least in good shape when it comes.
Quick update.. seems as of today, July 9th all of a sudden my status page is updated to reflect it was shipped on July7th. Should arrive today.. Not horribly late.. Lets hope it all works..
They did email me back to tell me so.. so some improvement, still slow on responding in my opinion.
