I made the mistake of letting my son purchase a custom computer from this company. My bad. First problem we had was with their configuator. Unlike other sites (cyberpower.com) this one allows you to build a system that won't work. we received a phone call 3 days after submitting the order telling us that the power supply was insufficient for 2 graphics cards. we were told we had to upgrade to a 850 watt power supply.$132 on top of our previous upgrade to a 600 watt. The site recommended at least a 500 watt. Then several days later another call. The motherboard only had one PCI express slot and couldn't handle two cards.another upgrade. When I emailed customer service asking for a detail price breakdown on each component,no response. I called and got the rudest, most unprofessional customer service rep ever.He wouldn't tell me what i was paying for my power supply.Their basic system comes with 2gb of memory.my son had upgraded to 4gb's. They charged us for 4, not an additional 2. the rep was VERY disrespectul and I ended up cancelling the order.Still waiting on my $1414 refund. Went to FRY's and custom built a MUCH better system for $80 less. The motherboard they were going to put in my son's $1400 computer cost $54.These guys are a ripoff.DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!

I ordered from ibuypower on a recommendation and because of their great prices.
The machine took a fairly long time to ship to me (about four weeks).
As soon as I got the machine set up, the problems began - no video signal coming to my monitors. I called tech support a couple of time and no one picked up the phone, but their operator was able to connect me to their tech support who after a series of unfruitful troubleshooting, told me to return the machine to them. Seeing as how I urgently needed a computer, I declined.
It turns out one of the power connectors was broken and would slide in and out freely whenever it felt like.
Over the next two months the video would randomly cut out until finally the video would cut out altogether and nothing i did would bring it back to life. I got on the phone with their tech support again, with a guy named John, who hurried me off the phone as quickly as possible over three phone calls, until finally he gave up and sent be a replacement video card.
Two and a half weeks later it has arrived. The bottom of the bracket (that slides behind the mobo) was bent severely, which I had to straighten before putting in. And for some reason the screw holes are not lining up with the case brackets.
What's even stranger is I was relating my tale to a coworker, and he said "Oh yeah? My machine just went down too. So did my room mate's. We got ours from ibuypower, you?"
Needless to say, I have become quite frustrated with this machine, and this company. I will never order from them again.

Reverting review back to prior statement after numerous problems with the product and horrible interaction with NZXT/iBuyPower Sales Department.
I CANNOT and will NOT recommend iBuyPower or NZXT to anyone looking for their order to arrive on time and in good condition with all components connected - cpu cooler was never connected bounced around in case, temp probes not fully connected, sentry 1 temp/fan controller never connected, fans not connected, and faulty power supply. Furthermore, I've spent more money trying to fix wiring and faulty components than any savings iBuyPower was advertising.
And calling to in to get assistance with unorganized and combative - no case/incident numbers, Sales personnel arguing like children instead of taking customer information, and refusing to forward me to a supervisor. It has been insult on top of injury.
This will be the LAST PURCHASE FROM NZXT/IBUYPOWER. Steer away from these name brands to save you headaches and money.
p.s. If you are reading this review and run into problems, I recommend you reference these resellerratings reviews in a Better Business Bureau complaint. I'd poured over a few of the negative reviews where iBuypower.com responded. Apparently the reviews are liars if you listen to iBuyPower. Horrible professionalism. Not good for return business. And lying about items possibly detached during shipping instead of their failure to connect these items when trying to meet their rush delivery. I ordered 2 laptops from Ibuypower.com last year. 5 of my friends also ordered similar laptops from ibuypower within a 2 month period. The first problem happened about 2 weeks later. One of my friends laptops would only show a black screen, he called ibuypower and returned it to them for repairs. They returned it in about 2 weeks in almost the exact same condition he sent it out in. he packed it back in the box and sent it to them again. After a month and a half (they admitted to losing the laptop for a period of time), they finally returned it to him. The next problem came 9 months later when one of my laptops had the exact same problem. I called ibuypower and returned it to them for repairs. Around the same time 2 more of my friends laptops started having the same problem.
After about 3 weeks they returned my laptop to me. I literally took it out of the box hit the power button, and put it right back into the box. I called ibuypower and I was very frustrated that they wasted 3 weeks telling me it was repaired. This was very close to the time when their 1 year warranty would expire, and I was extremely concerned about my other laptop. When I expressed this concern to one of their customer service representatives he told me there was nothing he could do, and if my laptop broke outside of the warranty that I would have to pay for the repairs. When I asked for his name he hung up on me. I called back and asked for a manager, this time I spoke to Steve. He was far more helpful, and gave me prepaid shipping to return my laptop to them for a second time. The same exact thing happened to one of my friends who returned their laptop for repairs. He was also forced to return it for a second time. 3 weeks later I got the laptop back and it was obvious that they repaired something. It's now on its way back to them for its third repair. Out of 7 laptops they sent out 5/7 had a problem with the black screen. Out of the times that ibuypower repaired the laptops, 3 of them were returned to the customer in the condition sent, and 2 repairs ended up failing.

Pauline was very helpful with my initial requests and did her best to satisfy those requests. Happy with her service. Since then the computer has gone back to the company twice and it still isn't working correctly. I spoke with a Customer Service Manager yesterday indicating that it still isn't working correctly and asked if they would give me a refund (even partial would be acceptable at this point). They told me that the prefer to just keep taking back the computer until it is working perfectly. Even though that is not acceptable to me (the customer) and refunding money would be, they refuse to do that. I plan on making a formal complaint with the BBB because this is unacceptable that a computer less than a year old has had to be repaired twice and it still isn't working correctly. I would not recommend doing business with them. The lower prices don't offset the frustration of inferior products. This review was modified by its author, tjkerek, on

Ok so i was in the market for a new computer and a couple of my friends had ordered from IBuyPower in the past. They had no problems so i though well, i guess i wont either. Man was i in for a rude awakening.
I had read the comments on this site and it seemed to be mixed, some had good expirences and some were bad. I did not like the fact that most of the reviews had to fix the computer once it was shipped.
So anyways i ordered a 1500$ computer and everything was smooth. I will admit that the sales person Mark was very uptight and seemed to just want a credit card or he would hang up. So once i got my computer it was packaged nice and everything. I plugged everything in and hit the power switch and the computer turned on then off.... So i tried agian and it kept going on for 3 seconds then shutting off. i thought, great i got a crap computer like everyone else. So i open it up and find that the SATA cable had come loose from the HD. So i plugged it in. i then unplugged the power to the Graphics card and replugged it in. I then turned the computer on and everything worked, so i thought.
So i plug in the USB's and the computer shuts off. So now i cant use the top 2 USBS or else it switches my computer off... And when i am in the middle of the a game the computer shuts off on its own then wont turn on for at least 5 minutes. I try to call Tech Support and it rings for 4 times then goes to voice mail. I have left 5 messages and still they will not call me back. Im at the point of sending the computer back for a refund. All i can say is stay away from this company. They take your money and send you a broken product and then wont answer your calls when you need help.
Also on a side note, they do not send the windows CD with the system only a recovery CD, I belive that i am entitled to a full copy of MY windows CD that I BOUGHT. And my SLI bridge connection which is supposed to come with the MOBO was not in the package aswell. its funny that they even say they test the computer, but i highly doubt that. On the back they have a sticker that says "parts were tested" but the "full system isnt". Kind of funny how my motherboard which either was refurbished or just bad, got by quality control on somthing as simplie as bad USB ports.
STAY AWAY

Everything was fine except they didn't ship or install the copy of MS Office Small Business Edition I ordered. There was no note or other indication on the invoice/packing list that this item was missing or backordered. I first emailed them on 5/17 (to the address they listed on their order confirmation emails to me as the email for customer service). No response. I called on 5/23, and was told it was on backorder and was assured they would have it by 5/27, and I would then have it by 5/30. No software arrived. I called again on 6/2 and was told they would get the software "within a week", and would then ship it to me (no arrival date to me, transaction number, order number or tracking number given despite my asking for something to identify this issue in their system). Today, I decided to stop waiting, and told them I wanted my software or a credit for the $219 it cost by tomorrow 6/6. Supposedly, I will be getting a credit. However, more than likely it will cost me quite a bit more than $219 to purchase the software. Also, since I am trying to run a small business on the PC, it's been a rather large paperweight for over a month - of which, 3 weeks are due to their lack of response and inability to get me software that was never indicated as being on backorder. I am very unsatisfied with their service and will never order from them again. I will also tell everyone I know to avoid them, and see just how many of these rating websites I can post on to that effect.

Do not buy a system from this company. When I first talked to the salesman he tried to talk me into DDR2 memory for a DDR3 only motherboard, this lack of knowledge gave me a bad feeling and I should have cancelled the order then, but didn’t. The next problem was they were not updating the order status until I sent an e-mail asking if they had even started on my system yet. It was updated the next day and I received an e-mail again asking if I wanted to substitute DDR2 memory for the back ordered DDR3 memory.
When the system was finally delivered, there were no driver CD’s except those for the incorrect operating system. I had ordered Vista Premium 64 bit and received only the driver CD’s for Windows XP. Also there was no operating system CD included only a recovery CD. The next issue was the video didn’t work except in Safe Mode. When I booted up in Safe Mode the system didn’t even recognize that there was a Sound Card installed. I called Tech support and their recommendation was to remove the sound card and video cards from the system and ship them back. At this point I was pretty angry and requested an RMA number for the entire system to take advantage of the 30 day cash back guarantee. This took a total of 8 business days after they received the system back which incidentally cost me $131.00 to ship back. Also they did not refund the entire purchase price but kept $320.00. I am still fighting this. So buyer beware!!

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience with ibuypower.
We bought this computer in March and have had nothing but problems with it. When we actually received the computer there were several case components that did not work (and continue to not work) or were broken. The front USB ports and sound do not work at all, which was why we chose this case. In addition when we got the computer, the power was not connected to either of the two cd/dvd drives, which necessitated opening the system and connecting manually (not that it is difficult, but it is annoying). In addition I have had so many problems with this computer that I wish I had never purchased it.
Problems:
Video would frequently freeze, flicker, or turn purple, necessitating a hard reboot.
Most of the time after the hard reboot, windows will not load, necessitating a SECOND hard reboot.
And, probably the biggest problem: The computer just quit booting up, freezing at the Memory Testing. Initially I sent this back to ibuypower to have them fix. Not only did they REFUSE to tell me what is wrong with the system, it was like pulling teeth to get them to give me any information on the system at all. To add insult to injury it took almost 4 weeks for them to look at the system (I'm still not convinced they actually did anything).
In addition, this problem has occurred another 4 times since the computer was returned to me. For obvious reasons I have not sent the computer back to ibuypower again (namely because I can't be without use of a computer for a month at a time - I mean... I've only owned it for 7 months and have had so many problems with it, I would never have had it at the house).
In short, ibuypower is a horrible company. They have horrible customer service, refuse to give their customers any information, turn out an inferior product, and are completely rude.
I will NEVER buy another system from them, and I make sure to tell my family and friends of my experience as well.

4-5 months after purchasing a laptop from the ibuypower site, I began to have overheating issues, even while using a laptop cooling pad, and the fan began working only irregularly. A week or so later, the fan died completely.
I called ibuypower and received an RMA number. I then sent the laptop in and got an email confirming that they had received it on March 19th, 2008. After waiting 3 weeks I called again to inquire on the status of the laptop and was told it was being sent back to the manufacturer to be fixed and I should receive it back within a week or two. I called multiple times over the next few weeks and was told that they would put a 'rush' on it. Now almost 8 weeks later, I am still waiting for the laptop to be shipped back to me, which is definitely not in the time frame listed in the laptop warranty given on the ibuypower.com website. (4. Upon receiving the computer, iBUYPOWER will repair or replace your computer (at iBUYPOWER’s discretion) and will ship it back to you within 10~15 business days via FedEx/UPS.)
This huge delay is ridiculous, as I had been away from home in college, where I certainly had need of my own computer. Now that the school year is over and I'm back home, I still have not gotten back my computer, nor any email or other sort of message about its whereabouts. When I call, the only thing they have told me is that it is still at the manufacturer being repaired.
Since my mom has spent her whole life in customer service, she was amazed how I was treated over the multiple previous calls I had made about the laptop.
My mother called early today inquiring about the the huge delay and after being questioned by the customer service worker was finally able to speak to a supervisor (Steve Wong). After being run in circles by him and being told the same things I had been told for 5-10 minutes (long distance from Florida), she finally hung up. Mr. Wong called back a minute later and I personally spoke with him, where he told me that this was an unusual occurance (for a computer to take this long being fixed and sent back). As you can see from the literally hundreds of reviews on here with people complaining about how long it took for them to get their computers back, this was a blatant lie.
He stated that he would find out about it personally and give me a call in a day or two, explaining exactly what the status of my laptop is. I'm rather skeptical about this since many of their employees told me they were putting a rush on it and I still haven't received it, but I will update this when/if I get a call.
In addition, if I ever get my computer back I would assume that they will extend the yearlong warranty after this excessive amount of time in which the laptop has been in ibuypower's possession.
I have put in a complaint at the BBB and am still awaiting a response.
Update: Finally received my laptop back an additional 2 weeks later and it seems to be working fine. Would not want to go through all this again though, stick with a more reputable company is my advice. This review was modified by its author, aeramil, on

Oh iBuyPower.... Have fun reading folks!
THE GOOD:
1. Its fast. Its pretty.
2. I called for the customer order number I forgot to write down. Curteous phone call, prompt response.
THE BAD:
Where to start... lots and LOTS of bad....
1. The 8800GTX videocard was not screwed in (ever) and was bouncing around inside the case. NICE.
2. There was another card, AirCruiser pci bouncing around in there too, probably unseated by the 8800GTX or just thrown in there by the installer. Ever heard of screws folks?
3. The front fan doesnt work and it appears to be part of a larger harness including the cathode tubes. The pci switch driving both doesnt do anything.
4. The big side fan (its a Thermaltake Armor) was not connected.
5. The SATA drive (single) had become disconnected. Can't fault iBuyPower there since SATA connectors are always loose.
6. The exhaust fan near the powersupply isnt working.
7. The memory card reader was not connected.
8. They didnt bother to connect the frontside USB. I use a hub anyway, but that was annoying.
9. Old NVidia drivers for the 8800GTX. 163.xx or something.
I will never trust them again that's for sure. The reason I didnt complain directly to them is because I got the machine working and I want to game, not deal with RMA for the unimportant broken stuff. Plus they would probably break something important if I sent it back. I'll take some responsibility for this disaster since I was dumb enough to place the order.

UPDATE:
computer sent back for full refund
had to haggle them to pay to ship their paperweight back...
told the process takes up to a week by Pauline
Pauline, the only person worth talking to unless you're writing a letter to their board of directors, sent a message over to their RMA department this morning and forwarded this email to me...
I also emailed "Paul" in the RMA department, no response...
with less than two days left in this "week" they speak of I am not confident at this point...
If for some reason they don't issue a full refund after this hassle (look for my other review it's back a few pages under the handle 'pragmaterialism')
I will probably deny the charge with the credit card company to ensure I get a full refund...but this will take another 6-8 weeks... oh well this hassle has been going on for months already...
they had two chances to send me a stable machine and failed both attempts... I don't buy into the ideal of "third time's a charm" so back it went...
updates forthcoming...

I ordered my computer on January 28Th and I did not receive it until march 5Th, when I placed my order it was supposed to be shipped within 10 days, and every time I tried to call them I had 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour wait once it was 138 min just to hear them tell me that there was a problem with a hardware component and it would be shipped in a couple days. My first call was 12 days after I ordered it and my 6Th call was three days before it arrived. when it arrived there were some software problems but the tecs quickly resolved them with me. My experience really sucked the only good things to say are the customer service was friendly when I finally got a hold of them, the tecs were friendly and knowledgeable and quick to resolve my issues and I now have the blazing fast computer that I ordered. The computer is awesome but getting it sucked.
