Am very happy with my purchase. Thought the price was fair and the sales staff was pleasent enough. A little heavy handed trying to sell me overpriced add ons, but that's to be expected. Will probable buy here again.

I ordered a Canon T1I camera and the saleman told me the best buy was the CNEOSRDT1 Kit so I said ok . When I recieved the order the camera was what I order but the rest of the kit was a mess of nothing the camera bag would cost about $5.00 at walmart. the lens cleaning kit was junk. so my think is if you order just what you want and don't listen to the salesman. Thanks Ron

Vendor sales is not familar with camcorder that they are selling. Sales person recommended buying extra battery that does not work with the camcorder.
I have particular asked him that the battery can fix with the compact camcorder which is new from JVC and require small battery. After he convinced me that the battery will fit then I ordered the extra package which includes battery, battery charger and carrying case. But the battery is way too big to fix the camcorder. Vendor insisted on only taking back part of the package which is the battery and charger. And I need to pay postage to ship them back. The sales person told me that they will pay the postage; and they backed out of their promise.

Here's my experience with Broadway Photo. Saw them advertised in Outdoor Photographer. Called and spoke with Eric x278. He confirmed the price was as listed and that the 5D Mk2 was in stock.

I was up front and shared about the plethora of nightmare stories on the web and I was unsure about proceeding. I found Eric to be very patient, he did not work off of the intimidation factor and assured me that since the investigation with the State Attorney, that Broadway Photo has regrouped, gone under new management and was desirous of making things right with the consumer.

I told him he can begin with me. I informed him that all I needed was the camera body. He offered insurance, I declined. He was okay with that. I did accept the offer for an extended warranty. He took my order and didn't try to press me on purchasing extras. He just asked if there was anything else I might need. I told him, 'no'. He gave me an order number and told me that the order would be shipped by the end of the next day.

When it wasn't, I called him again he was very patient with me. The e-mail address I provided him was used, but for some reason, the confirmation didn't go through. I offered another e-mail address and it went right through. The package was shipped the next day.

A couple of days later the package was dropped off and I anxiously opened it up. Everything looked as if it was in order. But I was still suspicious as I continued to find more and more stuff about Broadway Photo.

The first thing I did was register my camera with Canon using the S/N on the camera. It went through. I thought, okay, this is good. I then called up Canon USA and spoke with a rep who verified that if I were to send my camera in to Canon USA based on the S/N that I provided, that Canon would consider it under warranty and do any repairs. That put my mind at ease.

It's now been over a week and my camera seems to be doing everything I ask it to do, there are no outstanding issues and I'm satisfied.

I called up Eric one more time after I spoke with the Canon rep and grilled him on the business practices of Broadway Photo. Again, he was very patient and articulate and quite understanding about my concerns. He assured me one more time that as of just a couple of months ago that they have turned over a new leaf (legally forced leaf) and hoped that I would use Broadway Photo in the future should I need anything.

I'm not going to bash them, I'm not going to endorse them at this time . . . I'm just stating my experience and the assistance that Eric provided. I hope what I was told is true and not just the party line talk. If it is true, I'm pleased to be a part of helping a troubled business get back on their feet. We'll see.

Good news on a problem I had! Here was my problem, which I believe will be resolved to my satisfaction:

I ordered a Nikon D700 camera for 2,299.00. I would have been fine if I hadn't received a plus sell phone call. The person suggested a lot of accessories, and I bit on two rechargeable batteries.

When they came, they were off brand, not Nikon, which upset me. Additionally, I was charged @120.00 per battery for batteries that go for from 15 to 23 dollars. That's an overcharge of about 200 dollars.

I haven't used Regal Camera before, so hopefully I can get some resolution through customer service. But they are on the east coast and they only do sales, not customer service, over the phone after 2PM west coast time.

(On the plus side, they shipped rather promptly, and the camera has a Nikon warranty.)

Resolution: I called Regal at 3:30 Pacific time but their customer service was closed. I posted my issue on ResellerRatings and Regal Camera called my at 8:30 am the next morning. I think the quick response is great. I was offered a $135 discount, or a 70 dollar discount plus an extension of my Nikon warranty to three years (the extra two years via CPS warranty service).

I believe Regal needs to be more clear on their follow up sales phonecall where they try and add on accessories and shipping insurance. Nevertheless, I feel good about their customer service followup and am bumping my rating up.

I called Broadway Photo to confirm that the camera and lens was in stock, that they were covered by USA Warranty, and ready to be shipped. I then purchased the Nikon D90 with 18-200mm lens kit online. I was contacted by phone to confirm the order and was asked if I wanted an extra battery or memory which I declined. The transaction went without incident and I got the package within 2 days of shipment. Upon inspecting the camera and lens, I noticed that the lens did not come with the required 3-part warranty card which is needed to get any warranty work done. I emailed Brian with my concerns and called Customer Service the next day as instructed. Tommy Lawrence responded that they are an authorized seller for Nikon products and if anything went wrong with the lens, to contact Broadway who will set me up with a repair facility and issue an RMA. This was provided to me in writing. Although the verbal confirmation and online ad stated "USA Model" (with no exceptions), my experience with Nikon equipment gave me the confidence that I may not have any warranty issues for at least a year. I would rate this transaction as a positive experience with a little reservation.

I got my product fast. The customer service representative was efficient and accomodating during the process of exchanging a lens that I was not happy with. He even waived the handling and insurance fee for the exchange that I made! Overall this company provides great service.

i have been researching alll the many projectors and decided upon an Epson.

I called today and requested pricing on Epson PowerLite S6. Ronald was extremely helpful and made some very good suggestions. Since I am a novice of using this product, I was most appreciated of his assistance.

Ronald was professional but yet very kind.

He truly is an asset to your company.

Regal Camera misrepresents inventory status on their web site.

Based on reviews, I had poor expectations of Regal Camera, but all I needed was a camera bag, and Regal had the best price on this popular model by $10. I didn't need it immediately, so it didn't seem like I had much to lose.

So much for trying. Ten days after ordering, I still had no shipping confirmation. I called Regal, they answered the phone quickly, and told me the item had been backordered from the manufacturer. I was assured it would be in stock the following week.

Ten days after that, I called again, and they said it was still back-ordered. I asked to cancel the order, and they did so without giving me any hassle.

So, 20 days wasted with these guys. I suspect they just order these items from drop-shippers and don't carry any inventory at all. Regal Camera did answer the phone pretty quickly, but email updates were thin to non-existent, and of course they advertised and took orders for an item that they don't have and can't get. The item is still showing as in stock on their web site.

I purchased a Panasonic AG HMC150 camcorder from Broadway Photo after finding them on the web. Their advertised price was too good to be true. I contacted them by phone with questions on accessories and through high pressure sales tactics and offers of specials on the accessories I ended up with a total bill of $4,499. When I received the camcorder the box it was shipped in had been poorly tapped together and it had been left on my doorstep.

The invoice did not show a breakdown of costs. When I requested one I was refused—Broadway Photo stating that it was a package deal. At no time in my dealing with the salesman was I made aware of this. Although I was told I had free shipping there was $150 of handling and insurance, again I was not aware of this at purchase. I was told I was getting high quality accessories—the cost quoted and the assurances by the salesman certainly suggested this. When I received the accessories I could not verify either the quality or the pricing, by the invoice or researching online. The salesman told me the accessory battery I ordered was a high capacity 8 hour battery priced at $300. When I received the battery it was the same battery that I could purchased elsewhere for $150-160. This was the only accessory I was able to verify.

I contacted Broadway several times on issues with this order. I did get a charge back on the battery but the lack of breakdown of the costs, questions on the quality and suitability of the accessories and other factors lead me to desire to return the entire order. I was not aware of the return policy at the time of the order, the small print on the invoice stating a minimum of 5% restocking fee and no refund for shipping and handling was my first awareness of this. The salesman made no mention of the return policy and it was not obvious on their website. I checked their website for their return policy and found it buried several levels down. When I pushed for returning I was told the restocking fee was 15% and it could go as high as 17% and I would have to sign an agreement before they would issue an RMA.

I ended up returning the order without a RMA—the shipping and handling was under $20. Since I had made the purchase with a credit card I disputed the charge. I did get most of my money back but the experience was very unsatisfactory. I would not recommend purchasing any equipment from Broadway Photo.
