I will-called a case (Antec Sonata) from these guys because they had a great price on it. The actual store location was a little hard-to-find, but they were helpful with directions. The case was fine, though I can't really comment about packaging since I picked it up.  
 
The only complaint I had is that I wanted to order a motherboard from them, and they couldn't tell me which revision of the board it was. I E-mailed customer service about it and did not receive a response. Otherwise they seemed good.

Ordered two BFG 5900 Ultra Video cards on line 07/16/03. Placed the order and received a confirming E-Mail within minutes. The cards were shipped the same day. I received the two Video cards today 07/18/03. Cards were drop shipped so Even though Allstar is in California the cards were shipped from Florida to me in Florida. Outstanding service and the best price I found anywhere. I am very impressed and willorder from this company again in the future

Over all excellent business and customer service.  
Oh ya ordered a <BFG> GeForce FX5900 Ultra. Excellent card and no stability issued like the Radeon that it replaces....

As a computer services provider, I have relied on Allstar for more than 3 years to provide me with excellent service. Having placed well over 100 orders with them, I will say that this is one of the most professional, reliable, and friendly companies I have worked with. There is always someone that answers the phone there, and the salespeople actually know what they selling. On several occassions they saved me from costly mistakes by informing me of incompatibility issues between components. Unlike other vendors that never have the parts you need in stock, these guys consistently have at least 90% of the items on hand at all times. The other 10% they have ready by the next business day. The very few errors that have been made in the past have always been dealt with promptly and to my satisfaction. On several occassions they have bent over backwards to assist me. All this, and their prices are some of the best around. That said, I would highly recommend this company to everyone.

I ordered a video card from Allstarshop on June 8. Their price dropped by $18 before they were able to ship, but they were uninterested in giving me the lower price or cancelling the order. Their delivery was 2 full days slower than any of the four other vendors I ordered from that day.  
 
But here's what really upset me. Their return policy states that any item (excluding certain other categories) can be returned within 30 days for a refund if not satisfied. Well, I requested a return authorization about a week later because I needed the money for an unexpected medical expense. They refused to issue a return authorization so I guess I'll just have to recover whatever I can by reselling this thing on Ebay. Their justification is a small line of fine print several pages into the item's description which states that the item cannot be returned (in direct contradiction to the storewide return policy listed on their support page).  
 
 
 
 
So, here's what I learned from this order:  
 
1) Allstarshop will lock your price but may not ship for several days. They will not refund any price drops nor let you cancel the order when their price becomes noncompetitive.  
 
2) Allstarshop is slower than 80% of other online vendors  
 
3) Most importantly, Allstarshop cheerfully lies through their teeth about their return policy. Caveat emptor.

We had a motherboard emergency in the office and I ordered one overnight air through AllStar Micro based on the customer service ratings on this site as well as a recommendation from one of my employees. Unfortunately it was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. The MB sent was defective, and AllStar's complete detachment from the situation was appalling. They may treat large customers with more concern and courtesy, but what they don't realize is they've just lost a large customer over a very small order. Shameful.

I too found allstarshop because the Radeon 9800 Sapphire was out of stock at Newegg. I found Allstarshop before I knew about this site. I wish I knew about it before I used another company (other than Newegg) to purchase an item that was out of stock elsewhere. Turns out they have poor ratings and I'm currently learning why.  
 
Allstarshop has high ratings and I now know why. They delivered my item quicker than they had estimated. Also, before it shipped, after it had already been charged, I noticed the price had dropped by $16. I emailed them asking for credit and I got an immediate response. They credited me the difference promptly. They'll definitely be one online retailer I will always check before buying anything online.

bought sapphire radeon 9800 pro to go along with my new rig, cause i got everything else from newegg but newegg didnt have the vid card, so i come here. what can i say, they are superb. UPS totally fell through, over a week for shipping, and they almost lost the package, but the company really shined through especially at a time like this. their customer service was impeccable, explaining every step of the process and what could happen. seriously, they even replied one last time:

After dealing with so many online e-tailers, I only do business with a select few. AllStarShop is one of them.  
All of the items that I have purchased from them have been in exceptional condition. No surprises. One itex was misboxed, but most likely the manufacturer was to blame, not Allstar.  
Service depends on who you speak with. Often times I would rate it at a 9 out of 10 though the phone service rates in the low area.  
James is an huge asset to the company and I probably continue to shop there due to his commitment to service. I normally Will Call everything and the service has been good to excellent depending on who your dealing with. Phone service however is not the greatest . I continually get better service at the Will Call area than by calling in. The guy in his 40's-50's that sometimes answers the phone does not seem to be interested in solving customers needs. At least the 2 times I called in.  
 
Depends on who your talking to. They have a nice little area for Will Call with nice displays. This is more than I can say about others. Located in a nice area which makes the drive a pleasure.  
PROS  
1) Convenient Will Call-even on Saturdays  
2) Good prices. Comparable and many times less than Newegg.com  
3) Good service from James a a few others.  
4) Good products  
5) Good website though the Search function is buggy.  
 
CONS  
1) 15% restock fee-even when I wanted to just upgrade and never used the thing. Most e-tailers have this policy.  
2) Not the best phone service. In all fairness, I have only called twice. I would rather drive down now than call.  
 
I would highly recommend these folks.

Ordered an ATI Radeon 9600 PRO (retail-boxed) mid-Tuesday afternoon, had it Thursday night. Would have had it sooner if it hadn't been sent by UPS ground (UPS had the package Tuesday night--allstarshop processes and ships insanely fast), but it was free and that's still pretty quick for free shipping :-)  
 
Came well-packed, still wrapped and with plenty of packing peanuts.  
 
Never had to deal with customer service, so I can't say anything about them, but that says something in itself--the best company is the one whose customer service you never even have to talk to.  
 
Would do business with again.

Ordered a retail boxed Sapphire 9700 Pro from this vendor on May 5 and they processed and shipped my order the same day. Upon receiving the card, I noticed it appeared to have been tampered with; i.e. the box was not shrink-wrapped, nor sealed by tamper-proof adhesive, and the card itself was in an oversized anti-static bag, that was itself unsealed. I emailed allstar, and within an two hours a customer service representative named Kymberly replied back. She had not only gone to their warehouse to physically check to see if this is indeed how the cards were packaged, she had contacted Sapphire, who verified this is how they shipped their 9700 Pro retail boxed cards. Kymberly also offered to refund the price of the card if I was dissatisfied. Needless to say, I am somewhat displeased with Sapphire, but allstarshop has really come through. Highly recommended.

Integrity, fairness, flexibility.  
These folks dropped a restocking fee since they felt it was unfair. The circumastnces not withstanding, they did so withOUT my specific request - they just felt it'd be fair to do so.  
 
The kind of store I feel good abt patronizing!
