I had never heard of AllStarShop before, but when I saw the ratings at ResellerRatings, I felt they were reputable.
After my experience with the company, I truly feel this is a great company to work with and I will purchase from them from now on. My experience with their customer service alone is the main driver behind my wanting to continue to shop with them.
I purchased a Sapphire Radeon X800 XT Platinum Edition video card. This was a VERY DIFFICULT card to find (Platinum Edition), especially in the Retail package vs. OEM. I had been searching often over a few days and finally found AllStarShop had it for $699......granted the price was pretty high, but this is a hot item right now and most resellers are selling for close to the same price or even higher.
First, the product arrived in exactly 2 days from my initial purchase and was packaged very well. I was pleased with the speedy delivery and tracking was superb as well as shipping methods.
Initially I was when I received the package, because the box did not identify it as Platinum Edition (PE), except for a small white sticker on the side. This bothered me, because Sapphire's website has high res images of the PE box and PE is clearly identified as part of the printed graphics. Also, the box did not come with a 2nd game that all the review sites mentioned for the Sapphire X800 XT and XT PE, so that also bothered me. Finally, the box design from Sapphire has a window in the back where the video card is supposed to be visible to show you what you bought, but mine only showed the brown cardboard inside the box.
However, none of the issues I had was the fault of AllStarShop; it was all related to Sapphire. I had to contact their tech support to find out if 1. the product was truly the PE version; 2. why the video card was not displayed in the box window (identified as a mistake in Sapphire packaging); and 3. why I was missing the 2nd game. All those items were addressed with Sapphire and in the end it turned out I got the correct product and received the missing game.
Over a period of 1 week feeling skeptical and going back and forth with Sapphire and AllStarShop, the AllStarShop customer representative, James, was VERY FRIENDLY and VERY HELPFUL. He was completely understanding of my concerns and was even going to let me return the card without charging the restocking fee, because of my issues. I kept asking for James, because of his excellent customer service and total concern for the customer.
AllStarShop ranks at the top in my opinion. I highly recommend if you want reliable support and service.
