Erwin Henao was excellent when I called concerning the Windows 7 upgrade for my system purchased in July. He did not hesitate to answer my questions and provide the link to the upgrade. He was extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant which is refreshing in this day and time. It is customer service such as this that will keep me coming back and referring friends and family.
I have purchased several items from tiger direct and have always received them prompt,correct and in working order (no damage). Because I live in California it's also nice that I don't have to pay taxes on my purchases-every little bit helps these days.Last but certainly not least my order was over $100.00 I didn't even have to pay for shipping;I saved well over FIFTY DOLLARS with Tiger Direct. This was my first time dealing with Tiger Direct. Dealt with "JP" 5956. Purchased components to buid a relatively high end PC. JP was vey helpful when I called to make sure all of the components I had selected were good choices for my needs. The shipment will come mid-week, but I am very impressed with the service received to-date. I am not a novice, but not so experienced with selecting my own components that I wanted to go it alone. After JP and I got done, I called a friend that is very experienced and technical to confirm choices. He was impressed enough that I didn't change a thing. Thanks JP and Tiger Direct.
Everything came today as promised, except the OS which I knew was on backorder. It is already assembled, just waiting for the OS to arrive. This is my first build, so I am impressed. About 3 hours start to finish.

on 9/28/2009 I ordered a barebone computer from Tigerdirect using ebillme (direct deposite). on 10/1/2009 I realized that even though the product shows available online, its actually partially not available (1st call to find that out). When the product (part of it) arrives, I promptly refused the product and they processed it.
On 10/10/2009 I called Tigerdirect and I was told the check would be send on 10/11/2009.
on 10/15/2009 I called again and was told the check would be send on 16th.
today, 10/23/2009, I called and was told the check was send on 16th, however I have NOT received anything in the mail yet.
very poor service when I called. reps acted as they didn't care, and when I asked to talk to manager I was put on hold for 10 min and hung up.
so now i'm out $200+, almost a month of my time, countless calls.
NEVER order from Tigerdirect again.
Edit: 10/24/2009, 1 month after ordering, I finally got my refund check, but only $181 instead of $211 I paid...
will have to call back AGAIN to get the rest of my money back.
UPDATE: 10/26/2009
call 8:39 am talked to Micheal, found out shipping charge has to be APPROVED before they send out a check (2 more weeks).
refund for memory was only send out on 10/25/2009 for whatever messed up reason they have.
HORRIBLE SERVICES, YOU ARE WARNED, DO NOT SHOP HERE.

Our records indicate that we did in fact mail the refund check on October 16th, unfortunately we cannot control the transit times to your location.
USPS and our accounting department are closed on Sundays (Oct 25). Our records indicate the remainder of your refund was actually cut on October 23rd for shipment, we apologize for the confusion.

poor service, very poor packaging methods, when you try to reach someone to leave a complaint, phone gets hung up in your face. if they were not the only store that had my item in stock, i would have not ordered from this chaos group. sad enough that people do not care in the customer service department. I will rather pay more next time and/or wait a couple more days, before i give this poor excuse of an respected company another cent.
I ordered a 5870 gpu which arrived in a damaged retail packaging and was packed in a 3 x bigger package but placed all the way on the bottom of the package, why even bother stuffing some paper in it, the card bounced in the package like crazy.
other resellers would have taken a note and actually thanked a person to report improper handling and packaging.
in the end my gpu at least works. even tho the xfx box is ready for the dumpster.

I always check TigerDIrect.com first. Great prices, timely shipping and excellent customer service. I haven't received this item yet (just ordered it today), but I will update this review once I receivce the item. However, based on previous experience with TigerDirect, I have no concerns.
Jorge was tremendously helpful in assisting me with a reroute of a package. I had previously spoken with another Associate who had failed to follow through on executing the reroute.
Jorge took command. He walked the reroute to his Supervisor, gained approval, called UPS and effected the necessary reroute in a few minutes; with aplomb. He is one of the best Customer Service Representatives I have ever dealt with...at any Company.
Willie provided excellent client support, w/immediate pick-up that he was working with a non-technical user. He provided clear explainations and used well-honed questioning techniques - represented brand well. Will be a repeat customer.
Tiger has the very fastest and most reasonably priced shipping of any equipment seller I've ever ordered from. Their quality is always excellent and their prices among the lowest.
Tigerdirect's site is great. Prices are reasonable and shipments arrive in a timely manner. Only if I can't find it at Tiger Direct do look else where.
