This was my first experience buying an OS-free laptop. I did a lot of shopping, reading reviews, and comparing prices before deciding to try PowerNotebooks. I am happy to report that I am absolutely satisfied with the product.  
 
For reference I purchased the Crown I 2:17  
 
I have dual-booted Windows 7 and Ubuntu 9.10 and have had absolutely no hardware driver issues on both sides, which is impressive considering Ubuntu 9.10 reportedly has compatibility issues with MSI laptop motherboards, but not here! On the Windows side I didn't even need the included driver disc, and I even cut down my Windows install with vLite!  
 
To make things more complicated for myself, I also didn't use the included hard drive but installed one that I purcahsed separately. The BIOS recognized it no problem and again, no hardware issues after installing OSes.  
 
During the entire process I was made to feel that this company is highly committed to customer service, though from what I've seen so far, I'm probably not going to need to contact their support department any time soon.  
 
This computer completely suits my needs, I am never buying from the large name brands again, and when the time comes I am probably purchasing from PowerNotebooks again. Highly recommended.

By far the best computer company I have used. I purchased my Sager NP8662 from them and got great help from a rep named donald. He rushed my order because my old laptop was broken and needed a new one quickly for school. It ended up shipping WITHIN 3 DAYS. I got it on the 28th (today), order placed on the 20th. Laptop arrived in excellent condition, no damage etc. Loaded win7 x64 on it and its extremely fast! THANKS SO MUCH!

Their customer service is great, in particular I was in contact with Donald Stratton, I asked him a lot of questions because I like to know things in detail and he always replied very kindly. I'm sure many other salesmen wouldn't have been this patient, I emailed him at least 30 times during the whole process. I could get my laptop as customised as I wanted it to be, they even delivered it to Europe. And it's a first class laptop, it works like a charm.  
In short, awesome laptops, awesome support.

Ordered an NP8662 notebook using website. Was instructed via email to call the next day to confirm the order and go over any questions I had. I was told orders usually take 10 business days, and mine took exactly that to ship. Notebook finally arrived exactly as ordered, nothing missing, everything in working order, no blemishes or damage whatsoever. The display had no dead or frozen pixels. Overall, I am happy with the notebook and the customer service (Donald Stratton) was great. Based on my experience, I would recommend PowerNotebooks. I plan to purchase from them in the future.

Unbelievable laptop, great to totally customize on the web, but the people to deal with are great!!  
The Tech support, you actually get a live tech on the first phone ring, no phone prompts. Tey are knowledgeable and fast. Next desktop is from Donald and Powernotebooks.com

Ordered a brand new laptop from PowerNotebooks.com and can't say enough at how helpful they are over the phone answering questions and not pressuring you into anything you don't want. They provide excellent customer service before, during and after the sale, great communication, and are always there to help if you have issues or questions. I am very pleased with their company and their customer first attitude.

I am writing this review a little late as I needed some time to "play" with my new notebook from PowerNotebooks.com. I have used it for the past 30 days, everyday. And I'm happy to say that the notebook went well beyond my expectations. I am not an expert, but rather a plain old user of computers. So before I made a decision, I did my home work. I look at and studied many a web site. And after all the glam and glitter of the well known brands, I made the purchase at PowerNotebooks.com. Their web site was the most informative and helpful. Their customer service was the best. It was like walking into a local hardware store and everyone knew your name. After talking with the sales rep Donald Stratton, I had a good feeling about the purchase. When my wife's notebook goes (as they all eventually do), her next one will most definitely be from PowerNotebooks.com.

My experience with Power Notebooks was VERY positive. They have a great deal of knowledge of what they do and were very helpful to me in making an informed decision on purchasing our computers. We will definitely do business with them in the future!

I bought a Sager 8662 from Powernotebooks a few weeks back. I have had a couple of Dell notebooks since they were the easiest to buy. However, the Dells suffer from a great deal of issues, with cheap quality and horrible cooling solution being my biggest quibs for my E1505.  
I bought the 8662 after looking through a great many laptops, and I am very happy with my buy. Powernotebooks is a very reliable seller, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wished to buy a good quality notebook. Remember: Brand name does not equal quality. I expect to be able to use my 8662 for a long time, and considering the good service that I received from powernotebooks.com, I will be going back to them when I need another notebook.

This is my second time buying from powernotebooks. They have great customer service. I was talking to Donald the whole time and he answered all my questions. He even offered me a cheaper option for a similar performing system, but I decided to go with the slightly more expensive graphics card. My only gripe is that I wish I could have gotten the laptop faster. It took 3 weeks. But It was a sager laptop I purchased, and it was probably sager that took their time building it. Still happy overall with my purchase

I oredered a Sager NP9280 Notebook from powernotebooks.com. The customer service I recieved both before and after the order was superb. They worked with me through the process and it was assembled and shiped quickly. I recieved my laptop in perfect condition and in just a few weeks (It had to ship to an APO AE address).  
 
I will recommend them to people looking for high end laptops in the future.  
 
My service rep was Donald, he did a great job.
