Thank God I don't need what I ordered by a certain date.  
I never write reviews because I feel like they are a waste of time but PROVANTAGE sucks!!! I ordered a $15 dollar cable for my computer on Jan 27,2009 and it still hasn't been shipped. I checked a few other websites before buying this cable and the other websites were "out of stock" but this particular site said "availability -- in stock-- process time 4 days"  
Now my order status is still "in progress"  
I copied this from my order page:  
Note: Your order has been forwarded to a regional warehouse for processing. We will issue an invoice once we have confirmation.  
Its just funny that every other website said they were out of stock except this one... don't shop at provantage unless you want to keep waiting forever... because I'm still waiting

I ordered an NEC monitor from them because they were a few dollars cheaper than their competitors. It did show the monitor was not in stock and would be special order. I ordered it, got an order confirmation but no estimated ship date. Seven days later I sent an e-mail to customer service inquiring about an estimated ship date, they responded four days later with an estimated ship date two weeks from that date. So, I e-mailed NEC and asked if there were any other sources on the preferred resellers page that may have the monitor in stock. NEC responded that all of their backorders were complete on that particular monitor and they didn't understand why it would be two more weeks before ProVantage would ship it to me, but did not provide any other sources to purchase from.  
 
The estimated ship date given to me by ProVantage is two days from now and today I found out they have charged my credit card five days ago for the full amount. I checked their real time order process page and it still shows the item is on order from the manufacturer, so I sent another e-mail to customer service. Maybe in a few more days I'll get a response from them. Bottom line: I'll not do business with them again regardless of their price or rating or customer approval. They're very shoddy and very slow to respond to an inquiry.

This was my second order with Provantage and won't be my last. Their prices were very competitive. What impressed me the most was the super fast order processingg and shipping. I ordered my merchandise Wednesday morning and I had it on my doorstep by Friday afternoon. All that with regular FedEx shipping. Thanks Provantage for quickly fulfilling my order.

First off, I’d like to say I purchased from Provantage in the past and the price and service was excellent. (Shipping was always on the high side.)  
This time it was not. On 3/29 I ordered the Logitech Z-5500 sound system that was listed for $153.31. Shipping was a whopping $33.50 but with the excellent price for the speaker system it was still a few dollars cheaper than most on-line retailers.  
Two days later I noticed the order status was listed as “under review”.  
I called and asked what the holdup was; I was told that over the weekend there had been a price increase from $153. to $231.  
So instead honoring the original price listed on its own web site I was told they would not sell the speaker system for $153.  
 
Sorry, that’s just not right.  
It’s not like it was a price listing error; this was their regular listed price.  
I can no longer recommend this retailer who doesn’t honor its own listed prices.

I love Provantage.com! I have been shopping with them for years. Always seem to have the best prices around. Excellent experience. Fast processing and shipping. I have bought over $1500 worth of products from them over the last few years and I can't think of a better buyer experience. HONEST!

Ordered item, listed as In Stock. Two days later, received an email saying it is in fact *not* In Stock. They canceled that part of the order, but DON'T trust their "In Stock" labels!

I have been buying from these guys for 10 years or so. Not a lot, but enough to have a base to compare. While their s/h prices are not the best, the base item price is always fair. The last item I bought (a switch) had a fan. It was not in the item description. It was noisy. I called and told them -- they issues an RMA without any argument. Maybe I was lucky, but I am happy with the attitude. The only issue left is to see how quickly they process the refund. Stay tuned :)

Great selection and even better prices. Ordering was quick and easy. Shortly after placing my order I received my order confirmation followed by my tracking number. From time of order to delivery was 3 days, very fast. Will definitely be purchasing from again.

Provantage has a terrible return policy! They will NOT return your product if you opened the box! My suggestion: Do Not Buy from Provantage!  
 
I bought a Tripplite UPS from them and the fan was loud and ran constantly, so I asked to return it. They refused even though the unit was brand new and included all original packaging materials. This will cost me $388.00 unless I can sell elsewhere.

I wish I had found this place sooner...as I found a bunch of stuff cheaper than I could've found them anywhere else...  
I only placed a small order for a Wireless Gaming Receiver but I'm glad I searched around and accidentaly found this place off google as I save a few bucks.  
They were very fast in delivering my order as well.  
They have a very large selection of products...maybe too large...I think the site could be organized a bit better, like newegg but it's not a bad organization

As of right now, I am not very satisfied with this company. I expected quick delivery but when I checked my status, it has this message:  
 
"Your shipment will be made in two steps because the regional in-stock warehouse which made this shipment cannot ship directly to your state. Your package is being shipped to our main Ohio warehouse and will then be immediately forwarded to you. The following tracking number is for the initial trip to our Ohio warehouse.  
Pitt-Ohio freight - tracking not available"

Ordered 2 Monster HTS 3600 Reference Power centers. Price was only $60 more than others were selling refurb units for. Arrived next day. Great customer service and very fast shipping. Packed very well. No bait and switch, no hard upsells for warrantys.

Order never shipped. 7 weeks after order was placed PROVANTAGE tried to sell me the same product for almost triple price! They also made untruthful statements about the order status and credit card charges. Save yourself a time and stay away ...

Beware high shipping charges !! I like using this  
vendor (for 2 years) and rate them excellent for  
on-line buying - great web site. HOWEVER, when  
you order multiple items, the shipping skyrockets.  
I ordered about 10 items, all smallish and not  
heavy, at low quantities of each item (5-10 pcs.)  
and got hit with $200.00 shipping! The explanation  
was "multiple warehouses". I know one warehouse is  
only 4 miles away from me. They did respond by  
adjusting the shipping to $115.00.  
Bottom line: They are great for 2-3 items per  
order, but above that - BUYER BEWARE SHIPPING FEES

Provantage is great! I've ordered quite a few things from them and have never experienced a problem. Just yesterday (April 16th) I ordered a new Microsoft Keyboard from them. They were the least expensive site on the internet (even better than NewEgg). I selected normal ground shipping by UPS. And guess, what? It was delivered TODAY (April 17) just 24 hours after I placed my order.  
 
I received 3 emails from Provantage regarding this order. The first was a confirmation that my order had been received. An hour or so later, I got a 2nd email telling me my order had been processed. And a few hours later, I received a 3rd email stating my item had been shipped...and they included a tracking number so I could track the package during delivery.  
 
The item was packaged pretty well. The box was beat up a bit (clearly by UPS not Provantage). However, since Provantage packaged the keyboard so well, it was in perfect condition.  
 
As I stated above, I have order many things from Provantage and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their site to anyone looking for a reputable online vendor.
