Order a countertop stove from them ... it arrived DAMAGED ... Cost of item was $108.98..... it cost me $Over $39.00 to return it to them .... AT MY EXPENSE ... I did NOT GET any money back for the shipping.... the it took over a MONTH to get the original order amount of $108.98 BACK ... I had to call them THREE TIMES to get the refund. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ...... think TWICE and then think again before ordering from these people ....

I purchased a hard drive from them that had a 5 year warranty. The first drive they sent out was an IDE when it was supposed to be a SATA. I sent it back on my dime and they say they never got it. USPS Delivery Confirmation says otherwise. Filed a charge back with the credit card company and got my money back. Ordered again (I know, stupid!) and I got it quickly enough but after a little over a year I had issues with the drive. I contacted Seagate and was told I have to deal with TheNerds.net since I got it from them. I have called, emailed, faxed and about to resort to smoke signals. I either get put into voice mail with no return call or hung up on. I will never purchase anything from this place again.

HORRIBLE customer service. Took days to get a response via phone or email and was given the runaround for 3 weeks. Item listed as in stock, I was emailed 4 days later that there was a "web site error" and it was out of stock, but stock was expected within a week. Several days later, I was told item would not be stocked for yet another week. 2 days prior to final shipping date quoted, my order was canceled without warning. I feel completely scammed.

Before ordering I called this merchant (TheNerds.net) to verify stock on-hand and ability to ship the same day. I was assured by a sales rep that the product was in stock and that I was ordering early enough (9:00am) that the order would ship that same day.
I placed the order on 9/4 and received an e-mail confirmation that, among other information, advised that I would receive another e-mail with tracking information within 48 hours. From my credit card activity inquiry I also determined that my credit card had been billed for the purchase amount of $640.69 immediately upon order confirmation.
On 9/8 after 48 hours I had yet to receive the promised e-mail so I called the merchant and spoke to a customer service representative. The representative informed that the order did not ship on Friday as promised but would be shipping that afternoon and before the end of the day I should receive the confirming e-mail with tracking information.
By 9/9 I had still not received the confirming e-mail so I called the merchant again and talked to representative Eric. Now Eric informed that the order had not shipped on 9/8 but had shipped out that day (9/9). Eric agreed that the order had been badly mishandled and that I had been continuously misled, and offered to refund the shipping charge of $26.71 as apology. I soon thereafter received an e-mail claiming that I was being credited $26.71. And I was again promised a confirming e-mail with tracking information.
On 9/14, having received neither order, confirming e-mail nor promised credit, I called the merchant still again and spoke to representative Ricky. Ricky discovered that the order had still not shipped for reasons completely unknown. At that point I instructed Ricky to cancel the order immediately. I shortly thereafter received an e-mail claiming that a credit of the balance of $613.98 was being issued.
It is now 9/16 and neither of the promised credits has appeared. This is one of the shoddiest merchants it has been my misfortune to deal with. You can be certain I will never deal with this merchant again!

I placed an order for a subwoofer on the site and heard nothing for 10 days. Finally, after emailing them, I got an email saying that the item was out of stock and that they would cancel my order. I got a good price on the product and wanted them to just keep me on backorder for when it came back - the response I got to this was "No! (yes, with exclamation) the order was being cancelled and I could reorder the product at likely a new price *if* it comes back in. Terrible service - thanks for wasting my time.

I had a bad experience with this company as well - I should have paid attention to the previous reviews. Purchased some items that I found for a much lower price than at other online stores. Put the purchase on my credit card and received the following email from TheNerds.net:
"Thank you for your order with www.TheNerds.Net. Unfortunately we were unable to get an authorization on your credit card and your order has been cancelled. This could have happened for a couple of reasons. Some of those reasons include, but are not limited to, a wrong expiration date or card number entered. Please replace your order carefully. The original order
will not ship. Thanks in advance for your understanding.
If you believe this is an error on our part, please do not hesitate to call
our customer service department at 888-566-6373 option 2."
I double-checked that my credit card information was entered correctly and also called my credit card company. There should have been no problem with putting the transaction through. TheNerds.net told me to try to order again. However, I ended up ordering the items from another company with no problems. I didn't want to go through the hassle again(especially after I read that others had a similar problem). TheNerds lost a sale.

Took a chance with this store only because it was offering good cashback from Bing.com. After a week, nothing, and finally called in only to find out the item was in backorder (which was not the case when I placed the order), took them 10 minutes to find out, was told "should have received email about this" which never happened.
Obviously their system is NOT WORKING. Never again I would shop at a store that would waste my time.

I received an email the following day after I placed my order that said my order was canceled because my credit card was declined. After speaking with my bank who confirmed that the charged had _NOT_ been declined and even gave me the approval code, I called The Nerds and was simply told the order had been voided and the only thing I could do was re-submit the order.
After having one valid order "voided" with a successful credit card transaction, on record with my bank, giving them a second opportunity to charge me for an item they didn't plan on shipping seems foolish.
A similarly priced item ordered from OneCall went through and was shipped the next day.
I won't be back to The Nerds.

Placed order on July 29th. Called customer service on August 6th because I did not receive the 48 hour tracking number email that I was told I would get when I completed my purchase. Customer service put me on hold to find out what happened, and never came back...over 30 minutes waiting on hold and no one EVER CAME BACK TO THE PHONE! Can you get any worse on your customer service? Called back and was put on hold again. Called back and finally talked to someone who stated the warehouse computers are down and she can't track anything. Called back an hour later and finally get tracking number. The part shipped today (August 7th)!!! It took them TEN days to ship my order! They could have at least express or priority shipped it after a screw up like that...but no, 3-5 business days. This was my first and LAST TheNerds.net experience.

My experience is similar to the other people who ordered products at good prices, only to be informed later that the order is cancelled due to the product being backordered. My advice is, if you think you're getting a great deal from thenerds.net, it's probably too good to be true. I won't be ordering from them again.

I was extremely disappointed to find that the item I ordered, though the website said there were 5 in stock, was "backordered" with no known fulfillment date. I ended up having to order from another site which made my order a few days later than I was hoping.

I received a notice today that the laptop I ordered yesterday is out of stock and my payment was refunded. However the laptop I ordered is still available on the site (and has been updated to show there are still 56 in stock), but the price has been raised by over 4600%! I made a huge mistake and ordered Panasonic phones from these guys. On the first page there is a small notice of limited returns. I completely missed it when I ordered. After the opening page no more warning. I have to take part of the blame but when the phones I ordered got here they would not work. I couldn't even get a response to my e-mail for help. I waited a week or ten days and called and was told that a return authorization would be issued. No such thing happened. That was two weeks ago. A call today gets the response that I can return for a 30% restocking fee and a Nerds credit for the balance. No more Nerds for me and this is a rip.

WARNING: Don't order from this company. I decided to take a chance despite poor reviews. And it's just caused pain, and misery...
Item I ordered was a Gyrotransport Air Mouse that had a $100 rebate, that is now a month overdue.
Rebate processor is indicating "processing", and has no ETA for the rebate to pay out, and no further information. Contacted TheNerds, and they're not willing to do anything to help, eventhough it was their marketing, and promotion that lead me to make the purchase.
