BEWARE/CAVEAT EMPTOR!!
I purchased from the website a PLEXTOR 52/32/52 IDE-CDRW Retail w/ plextor direct warranty for 72.20. I thought this was a darn good deal until it arrived as a 52/24/52 CDRW. Called the vendor, MARKONECOMPUTERS, and they were ready with the explanation that it must have been a typo. The single typo was actually MULTIPLE typos that went through the information and description on each screen that I visited. They point blank refused to ship me the product I ordered at the price I ordered it and I'm so fed up with everything that I'm keeping the drive. Either this was a genuine mistake, which I doubt, or they are expecting consumers to ignore the hassle and just accept what they got, like I admittedly did. If it truly was a typo, I doubt I'm the first to complain, and the price is still on the site despite that fact.
As of April 19th, 2004, the incorrect price is still listed at http://www.markonecomputers.com/cart/flash-getlist-cddvd.asp?ItemCat=CD-RW&OrderID=73522132870354861021041#PLEXTOR
Stay tuned for an update in a week to see if they change the price.
