They claim their vendor accidentally shipped the package to their office instead of to me. After receiving my package, Mark One Computers forwarded it to me, and told me that I would have it by weeks end (I specifically asked to receive it by then). Instead, the package arrived the next week. So instead of a one week ship time, it took 2 1/2.

ordered a single samsung cd/dvd drive for a computer im putting together from a client... i ordered components from several different locations online, all of them at or before 8:30 am on a friday.all of the pieces were delivered by the other sites ordered from in a timely manner,mostly wednesday (on time or even early- thank you zipzoomfly!), except for the cd drive from mark one... it has now been a week and a half, nothing. i have called and gotten the run around, my account HAS been charged, and i have been given 4 different tracking numbers, because (of course) their site's UPS tracking feature is worthless, and i have never seen such poor service from a company with any sort of reputation to maintain. i would not recommend this company to any person looking for quality, speed, or service, and i will be maintaining this comment until there is a resolution to this issue.
10/23 update: still nothing, no answered calls...
10/25 update: still no cd drive, havent got the time to be ignored by customer service.
...i was going to write this last post stating that on the 28th i finally recieved the cd drive ordered on the 15th, thats right, nearly 2 weeks later, when i recieved the same form letter another user quotes in an earlier rating.And i am now adding this note to state that I, like the other dissatisfied customer, will not be bullied by some slipshod reseller that decided its customers weren't important enough to warrant prompt, courteous service, and i have all documentation recieved by both MarkOne AND the credit card company, including the statement from MarkOne stating it had been "sent" on october 18th. Its too bad fed ex's records show it being sent on the 24th doesnt it? A bit of advice to MarkOne Computers: dont threaten people that complain. Especially when they retain ALL legal documentation. I ordered a pair of speakers for $229. Completed the order online and then recieved an email about 30 minutes later saying they were out of stock and the order would be cancelled. I then checked there site and the same speakers were listed for $326.

BEWARE/CAVEAT EMPTOR!!
I purchased from the website a PLEXTOR 52/32/52 IDE-CDRW Retail w/ plextor direct warranty for 72.20. I thought this was a darn good deal until it arrived as a 52/24/52 CDRW. Called the vendor, MARKONECOMPUTERS, and they were ready with the explanation that it must have been a typo. The single typo was actually MULTIPLE typos that went through the information and description on each screen that I visited. They point blank refused to ship me the product I ordered at the price I ordered it and I'm so fed up with everything that I'm keeping the drive. Either this was a genuine mistake, which I doubt, or they are expecting consumers to ignore the hassle and just accept what they got, like I admittedly did. If it truly was a typo, I doubt I'm the first to complain, and the price is still on the site despite that fact.

TRIED to order a processor from them. They were extremely rude on the phone, didn't respond to e-mails or calls and did not update us on anything. Eventually they canceled the order without telling us and we only found out 2 weeks later. I have bought a lot of components online and by FAR this is the worst reseller I have ever dealt with.

Saw that they had the P4 3.06 chip in stock (according to the web site) Called to make sure it was in stock and could be overnighted. They said it was instock and that I would have no problem receiving the chip. The next day I called to confirm that the chip was sent out (the tracking number sent to me was invalid) I was informed that they did not have the chip in stock, and that it was not going to ship. Take this for a grain of salt, but they WILL lie to you on the phone..... very sad. I cancelled my order and went with a more reliable vendor....
Thought you all might find this interesting.... After posting a review of Mark One's "service" I received the following email:
"It is one thing where you are duped out or held from your money and another when some one orders our last processor of that day before you placed the order. We have an issue of slander with your resellerrating.com comment. We never initiated a sale on your credit card therefore you have nothing to comment about. No one ever told you it shipped, no one ever gave or sent you a UPS tracking #. Would you have preferred us to lie to you and say it did ship? It is not our fault someone was quicker than you. Please remove your comment from our profile. If you cannot agree with our assessment, we will pursue the matter further with proper evidence to resellerrating management.

I replied:
"The fact of the matter is you did take my order (specifically after I called to see if the chip was instock). I was told "If I order today it will get there by Friday". As it turns out this was a complete lie. True my card was not charged, but if I had not called on Thursday to check on the status of the order I would probably STILL be waiting for your "in stock" chip.
Take whatever action you feel necessary with resellersratings.com. My review is acurate and not at all out of line.... I have reviewed several other resellers, ad when they don't lie to me and deliver what they promise, I give them a good review. Perhaps if you had expressed this much concern about my order (and not my review of your business) we would not be having this conversation.....
....are you for real????
Oh, and by the way, I did have an order and tracking number form you. Here is a copy for your enjoyment."

This company is just like the others. You buy at your own risk. If anything goes wrong, you will not get your money back. Just check their web site.
A 15% RE-STOCKING FEE OF THE PURCHASE PRICE OR CURRENT SELLING PRICE (WHICH EVER IS LOWER) WILL BE ISSUED TO ALL RETURN FOR REFUND ITEMS, DEFECTIVE OR NON-DEFECTIVE - NO EXCEPTIONS (SHIPPING COSTS ARE ALWAYS NON-REFUNDABLE)
Even if your merchadise was defective, they will only give you 85% of the current selling price. This is not how a reputable company does business.

I purchased a NEC monitor advertised as new once before and everything was fine. Purchased another one a few weeks later and the monitor I received was not new. It was scratched badly on the case and does not work correctly. The picture is blurry in the middle of the screen. NEC will replace it under the manufacturers warranty but Mark One did not sell me a new monitor.

Would not honor Pricewatch posting. Owner did not state cause of purported error. He said to refresh the page but the price was still there. Shipping is $11 for four sticks of Oem Ram. Since this is a very limited experience I would not place too much emphasis on it. Thanks

Bought an Antec 300W PSU. They took quite a few days to ship it out ... I don't know why. Regardless, it did come, was well packed, and works great.

I have placed multiple orders from Mark One.
Order for >$1k placed 12/15 (a Sunday).
In stock items shipped 12/17 (Tues.)
Adequate email notifications.
Inadequate tracking process - you must use the a "Tracking Link" from their website - they do not email the Customer actual Tracking Numbers, but will provide them if you contact them by email/phone.
...now the interesting part....1 item on my order was going to be dropped shipped - so there would be 2 packages. All information provided to me said that 2 packages were shipped. When package #2 did not arrive, I emailed them about it. They called me >4 hours to tell me that package #2 had not been shipped, and would I like to cancel or order substitute item.
Things I like:
- They are 2 day UPS delivery from me.
- Pricing is competitive
- Shipping $ calculator is readily available.
Things I do not like:
- Shipping/Tracking system
- 15% restock fee even if item is DOA (I have not experienced this with them)
- UPS charges are > than actual cost, as far as I can see.

Average - but has good selection and fair/low prices. I have placed multiple orders for several $k over >1 year, and continue to do business with them.
Shipping calculator nice feature.
"In Stock" inventory does not always mean timely shipment.

Bought up a XFX 6800 Ultra PCI-Express card and my order went through in 2 days and shipped right away! I just received the item 2 days later and i paid for ground shipping! These guys are great! Smooth transaction all the way.. no probs! Received my card in a few days! Basicly 2 days and it was ground shipped!

Mark One Computers has always been a great place to order computer hardware. I've been ordering from Mark for almost 4 years and I've always gotten a great deal. I've always found the product I was looking for in Mark's selection.

I ordered this on the 8/25 with free shipping I called them on the 26 asking for shipping number they said it will ship in 30 for ground shipping, I thought that they were putting my order off till the 30 because I had already ordered the ASUS ATI X800 XT pe videocard threw 3 other venders that said they had them in stock and didn't so I emailed them back accusing them of the same thing, Was I ever wrong and to prove it they shiped out my order on the 27 and I got it on the 31 and it works great,If they say it's in stock it's in STOCK.I will be glad to shop here again.
