Please do not make a mistake and buy anything from this company!!! I ordered a Garmn Nuvi 350 on 6/15/07. I had free shipping, and their web site says they "endeavor to ship all items within 24-48 hours." After five days and no tracking number, I called to cancel. The order was shipped the next day. It arrived 6/27/07 (in a plain white generic looking box)and I called to get RMA number within 1 hour of receiving the package(also told I needed access to a fax machine before I could return the item, which was very strange in my opinion). I told customer service I would contest a "restocking fee" due to the company not abiding by their own shipping practices, and the fact I cancelled one day before the item was shipped. Bait and Switch!
I ordered a NEW Epson R1800 and received a refurbished used printer. I expressly asked if it was new and was told it was new by a salesman who took offense that I should even ask such a question. I returned it immediately and have yet to get a refund. I challenged the charge with my credit card company and it is presently in dispute.

I purchased an expensive, high end Yamaha receiver from them at a bargain price. THEN, I read all the negative feedback on this site. I thought I made one of the worst mistakes in my life... Needless to say I panicked!
Living in Canada I was charged extra for shipping and was confronted by a very rude sales person when I questioned the charges. Got a 1 liner e-mail with the tracking number and tracked it every day. I received the product intact, in great shape, within 5 days and I am totally satisfied of my purchase. Now I'm getting ready for a few beers to relieve the stress. I tested my Yamaha RX-2600 for a good 3 hours and everything works fine. Like one person posted here before, I wish more buyers with positive experiences with this reseller would post their comments here.

This vendor "sucks." I kept calling them to find out where my product was. They kept telling me that it was on the way until 20 days after the sale when they told me I was not going to get it as they did not have it. They said that they emailed that message to me. It did not happen.

I had terrible service from this merchant. The camera bag and battery that I had ordered was out of stock, which they failed to post on the website for one. Also, when I called they said that the camera battery and bag that I ordered would ship in a week...after a week, no shipping yet. When I called again, they said they had my requested order and it would ship in one day. After waiting a few days to see if it cleared my bank account, it still did not. I never once received a phone call from them stating that my requested order was out of stock and that I would be contacted as soon as it came in. I have since cancelled my order and I will not use this merchant again.

There's no point in having low prices if they can't deliver the products. There is virtually no customer service. At least they answer the phone.

I would warn anyone considering purchasing from this store... Ordered the Nikon 18-200mm lens - they called me in the morning and said that they were out of stock and the 'US' lens was $200 more than what I paid for. Then 4 hours later another gentleman called me and said they had two lenses for $100 more. Spoke to the store manager who end up hanging up the telephone on me.
Zero customer service... And Zero product.
Never will I buy from this store again.

I purchased a Konica-Minolta Dimage Scan Elite II Film scanner from Hotbuys Electronics Inc. Upon recieving it I discovered that it was mechanically defective. Since Konica-Minolta had just been purchased by Sony, and this highly rated scanner had just been discontinued, I was very concerned about having my scanner repaired or replaced. A Hotbuys representative assured me that he "absolutely" could provide a replacement. I therefore sent the scanner back to Hotbuys for replacement rather than to Konica-Minolta for repair under warranty. Over the ensuing weeks, a hotbuys representative repeatedly made claims to me about the prospects for replacing or repairing the scanner, all of which turned out to be false. I was eventually told that my money ($517.29) would be refunded. More than a month later it has not been. I recently sent them an e-mail threatening legal action unless my money was immediately refunded. I am following up with a certified letter to the same effect. I strongly caution anyone against doing business with these lying criminals.

I can not believe this company is in business!
I’ll sound like broken records if I go through my experience with them . just read the other reviews and I experienced all of it! I ordered a Nikon D80 with two lenses which I thought I got the best deal. I found out it was a gray market product which wasn’t mentioned on their website and to up grade to US version I had to pay way more than going to Ritz camera and buy one. They wouldn’t cancel my order and I waited hours on hold and on answer.
You can not win with these people. They are scam artists. You will be lie to, cheated and stock with something that you never wanted. THEY ARE THE WORS STORE ON THE INTERNET!!!
STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!

Froogle did not have a store review for this place when I purchased a camera body from them, I thought the posted product rating was the seller rating...BIG MISTAKE. You will almost certainly regret any purchase you make from this place. I thought I knew all the tricks, another BIG MISTAKE. These guys are pros at taking your money and running, shame on all of them.

I ordered a phone from their website and was sent a confirmation email. It didn't mention when it would be shipped so I called to ask a person and was told they would work hard to ship it that day. A few hours later, I was sent another email saying the phone I ordered was unavailable and my order was canceled.

Classic Bait and Switch. I ordered a KX-TG6700B and their web site said you get 2 handset and base but they only send 1 handset and base. Don't do business with this site they won't settle their dispute and are very rude to customers over the phone. As of today 8/8/06 their web site still has the same wording about this product.

Stay away from this store!
These people sell things they don't have. A week after I ordered 3 camcorders from them, I had to call them to find that the product is not available. They pretended to have sent me an email 2 days earlier to let me know. Which was not true. After I hung up, they sent that email.
STAY AWAY!!!!!

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS VENDOR.
This vendor is a black hole of money and energy. The only industry they provide is to grief you out of your money once you buy. It’s the only thing they do well.
I ordered a Panasonic Radio for a birthday with plenty of time for delivery. The birthday came and passed with no delivery. Called to ask what was the delay and they said I needed to call them to make sure the order went out, which is absolutely ludicrous as a standard business practice. Then the guy changed his story and said they just got in some new Panasonics and the order would be shipped that day.
A week and a half later, no shipment, I called and was told that they needed to talk to me since my credit card address and the ship to address were different. I asked why this wasn’t brought up when I called before and “Howard” said they called me and sent me e-mails trying to contact me, which was a blatant lie as I never delete anything on gmail and there was no message and the phone number they said they called is a work number that timestamps and logs every conversation and there was no call. Having felt put off I asked if they would upgrade my delivery to overnight since the birthday had been passed by well over 2 weeks at this point. Here is where it got creepy, the sales guy got belligerent and said “You know what, we aren’t even going to send it to you.”. This behavior disturbed me so I said that would be fine so long as I got a prompt full refund. He flippantly said “Fine” and hung up on me.
I called back and got another guy, told him I anticipated a refund and asked when I could expect it to post and the new guy, whose name I didn’t get, said I couldn’t get a refund because it already shipped. I assured him it didn’t ship and that I just had a conversation with “Howard”. He then put me on hold for about 20 minutes came back and tried to give me the same story about trying to track me down. I told him that was not true or he had experienced an error from his end because no correspondence had come to me. I told him that regardless, I would be taking a refund after the customer service issue. He said there was a 15% cancellation fee. This confused me as they had not only wasted almost 3 weeks of my time, but had done nothing productive in that time to warrant 15%. I didn’t argue and just asked when I could expect the refund to post and he said within 48 hours.
The refund never posted so I am now reversing the charges through my bank. The audacity of Hot Buys Electronics and the negative experience I had with them will forever make me question the legitimacy of on line retailers.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS VENDOR.
