This is how internet shopping should be. I ordered late on Friday night and received a confirmation call on Monday. By Wednesday I had my Minolta Dimage 7HI. I even used the free shipping and it still came in 2 days from confirmation. When they called, it was strictly a confirmation call. No sales tactics involved. They were the cheapest around (about $100 less). Thanks Beach Camera!!

Smooth as a baby's butt. After ordering, I was called within 24hr for order verification, camera was delivered overnight as asked, and arrived in good packaging in tact.

I ordered a canon g3 from them. The camera arrived in perfect shape within 3-4 days of ordering, even though I ordered with the cheapest s&h. I had called them earlier with some questions about the camera and I found the customer service to be rather curt. It would be nice if they were a little more courteous. Also, they dont seem to have an automated email confirmation after ordering. I ordered online and got the confirmation after 2 days.

I was very leery about ordering from them but I placed a order for a CANON G3 over the weekend on the 5th of June. Order was promply shipped on monday and I recieved it today via FEDEX. I attempted buying an Olympus C-4000 from them on monday. The order was accepted, but I recieved a call on tuesday saying they could not confirm my shipping address. I confirmed it with them, and recieved another call on thursday saying again they could not confirm it. I ordered this with 2 day shipping, and now it has been 4 days and it still hasn't left their store.

Ordered an Olympus C7070 digital camera on Sunday. Camera arrived Wednesday morning (Used normal shipping). The item was packed securely and it works fine. Price was excellent. These folks are first rate and I would definitely order from them again. (Date of review was 7/27/2005)

Excellent Experience. 800 Number for any questions, best price on the web, shipped the same day, arived on time, Well packaged with all rebate forms to be submitted. These guys are good and deserve your business.

It is what the Internet sale means to be, no confirmation phone call from the salesperson! Price of the product is not the lowest, but very close to the bottom. The whole process was very simple and fast:  
 
Logged onto the Internet -> Found the web site of the camera store -> Selected the product -> Provided payment information -> Signed off -> Three days later, the product was delivered and signed for at my front door.  

Ordered Canon Powershot A70 on 4/9, got it on 4/11. It was the full US retail version as advertised, for the lowest price I could find (I like in NY so the NY places were out due to tax).  
 
I shipped to an alternate shipping address from my billing address. Someone called to confirm this. This person DID NOT try to sell me any high priced accessories or anything and was very nice on the phone.  
 
Overall I was very pleased with this place and will buy from them again.

Ordered Canon Powershot G2 on Friday 3/27/03. Was told it would arrive 7-10 days. Got it on Wednesday 4/2/03. Great service, and the second lowest price on the web. Had to call customer service concerning a credit card issue, but everyone was knowledgable and friendly, and the minor problem was corrected promptly. I have to say, that after dealing briefly with another company named B----i.com, (who said they had the camera in stock, but when I didn't want any of their accessories, it was backordered for 4 weeks), BEACH CAMERA is a true bunch of professionals. Would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

i have never opted for mail order purchase for an item of this significance ($$), instead opting for the peace of mind that comes with buying from big-box retailers in my hometown. thus, i was somewhat apprehensive with this purchase.  
 
after daily monitoring of prices and store ratings, i choose Beach since it had a good combination of price, reputation, and relationship with the manufacturer (Canon folks told me that Beach is an authorized dealer).  
 
i ordered via the Beach website and tried to arrange for delivery to my workplace, which was an option on their web site. after placing the order, i was called by Beach the next day and was informed that they could only ship to my home address since that was my credit card mailing address. still unclear on that issue, but i agreed.  
 
i was never pressured to buy other items, accessories, or warranties. i called on March 17 morning to ask about the order/delivery status and was told that it would ship "later that day". only a few hours later, i received a call from my wife telling me that delivery of the camera was attempted but couldn't be done since nobody was home at that time. so, i picked up the camera at the local Fed Ex office that evening. odd that Beach didn't know (or look up) info about when the item was actually shipped.  
 
everything was in proper order and i'm enjoying the camera a great deal. overall, no complaints regarding Beach.  
 
my advice is similar to others who post here: if you know exactly what you want and are prepared for a potential "bump in the road", you can save a lot of $ buy ordering from Beach. overall, i would recommend. if you want high levels of customer service, don't care too much about potential savings, or want immediate possession of your merchandise, opt for your local big-box retailer.

Purchase went smoothly. Order confirmation and shipping confirmation email messages were scrambled and contain no information. Was double billed for purchase, cutomer service never responded to email, was given delaying tactic on phone when I called cutomer service directly. Finally had to fax information to company to refund duplicate charge. Bounced arounf on phone tag answering the invoice number question multiple times. If you have a choice buy from someone else.

I found this reseller to have the best price on a Canon A40 digital camera, but was a little hesitant to order from them as I read that they were rude, tried to sell you items you did not want, and took too long to ship. Against my better judgement, wanting to save money I ordered the camera on a Saturday and received it the next Thursday. A call to them for a tracking number was handled professionally and no presure or rudeness resulted. I will use this reseller again for future purchases.

If you know what you want to buy, I do recommend you to purchase items from beachcamera. Otherwise, you'd better take some more time to deal with them..

Excellent service. This is the second camera I purchase from these folks, an XL-1s. Last year 10/01 I purchased a GL-1.  
 
The delivery arrived as scheduled, their prices are excellent and their customer service is superior as they contact you by phone to verify your purchase.  
 
I recommend them anytime
