Easy company to do business with. I ordered a 42" Widescreen Plasma TV. Beach Camera shipped it for free. The cheapest competitor wanted $49.99 to ship it. This plus the lowest price for the TV I could find on the internet, or in brick and mortar store, and no sales tax secured the deal for me.

Ordered Sony Cybershot DSC-H20 camera, 16GB Duo Pro Memory Stick, camera bag and related accessories on June 15 at approximately 2:00PM (CDT), with FREE 7-10 day shipping. Shipment arrived FOUR (4) DAYS after order, well packaged, with all pieces NEW, as described on site, and in excellent condition.
Beach Camera is, in my opinion, a first class company with an easy to navigate site and great prices.
For all the negative reviews where the shipment arrived a day or two late - get over it.
If Beach Camera acts in a responsible manner and endeavors to complete orders to the best of their ability, I will be a customer for a long time. A delayed shipment will not cause the loss of my business with BC.
I made a second purchase today and expect the same great service.

I ordered a Canon 24-105 lens from Beach Camera just at about 1 am on a Thursday and paid for next day shipping as I was planning on going on a vacation the next week and wanted the weekend to become acquainted with the lens. Their website showed that lens was in stock. I received a phone call confirming my order. Thursday afternoon I checked the order status to see if a tracking number had been issued. The order showed back order. I was upset because the lens was clearly in stock when I placed my order. I immediately called. I was told that they did somehow "sell out" and that he checked with the buyer who assured them that they would have the lens the next day and that I would have it on Monday. I checked online on Friday; still back-ordered and I couldn't call because it was after 3. I called on Sunday and spoke with Joanne who apologized and said she would call me on Monday since the buyer wasn't there. I waited for her call until 5 pm to give her the benefit of the doubt. I finally called and spoke to Charlie, who though keeping me on the phone for 25 minutes, finally came back and said that they didn't know when they would be getting the lens, but that I could cancel for a full refund. This company left me hanging for 4 days with no follow through. My advice when dealing with this company, don't order online, call first and make sure that they actually have the product!
UPDATE.....
After my review was posted, I was contacted by Maurice at Beach Camera. Being a professional myself, I can always appreciate when someone sincerely apologizes and backs up those words with actions. While I had already purchased the lens from a competitor, Maurice not only apologized and explained what had happened, he took action and and showed that Beach Camera did want me back as a customer. We all make mistakes, it is how you take responsibility and show your clients their value to you. Maurice did that on behalf of Beach Camera and earned my business back. Thank you Maurice. No problems with our order...simple, fast, easy. Ordered a new HD camcorder and a battery. No follow-on sales phone call, ordered on Sunday, recv'd on Thursday. Saved $300 from buying it locally, and no tax (another $80 saved).

Even though I was dealing with BuyDig.com I received a call from John at Beach Camera. He explained that they owned the internet site of Buydig.com. I ordered a LN55B750 Samsung LCD TV from them at a lower then advertised price. They advertised 3 "free" items but I was offered the TV at a lower price *if* I dropped the wall mount and HDMI cables as part of the deal. When I emailed them back about the "so called" "free" gifts that I was actually paying $164 for, they agreed to include them at the lower price. I will see if it's a deal when the TV arrives in 7 to 9 days. TV arrived on date promised. It's great and I am completely satisfied with this purchase. I would give BuyDig.com a 10 out of 10. This is my first order from Beach camera and I'm NOT impress with their service at all. I ordered an expensive Nikon Lens from them and had it ship to my work because it will needed a signature. I clearly marked the shipping address as a business address.
Yet when Beach Camera ship the item they ship it FedEx home to save a penny. So the delivery guy show up on Saturday and wonder why no one was there. I called and email Beach Camera numerous times about this but they just didn't care. So the Fed Ex guy show up on Saturday and after business hours trying to delivered the item.
I just can't believe this. I will never order anything from this company again. Customer service is definitely NOT part of their company profile.
Stay away from them if all possible.

First I would like to thanks ResellerRatings.com. After I wrote my earlier review of Beach Camera, a company Rep. called me the next day. After he heard my story he offered to return my shipping cost and gave some credit back. I though that was very nice of Beach Camera. His called really made a different on my book. It wasn't about the money but his willingness to help and to make sure I will get my package. I understand that companies will make mistakes here and there but the most important thing is that they corrected it after the fact. A little customer service and acknowledgment goes a long way.

Purchased two SanDisk 16GB Extreme III compact flash cards that were advertised on their website as eligible for a current SanDisk rebate.
Well...package arrived with the CF cards but without the SanDisk box that contains the UPC code required to get the rebate.
This simply isn't an oversight on their part. They had to physically remove the inner plastic packaging that contain the CF cards and keep the entire outer SanDisk box for themselves.
Customer Service center had a recording saying to call back during business hours...with no mention of what those hours actually are.
I've emailed them asking them to send me the UPC codes and will gladly boost my rating slightly higher if they come through. But it doesn't change the fact that the customer shouldn't have to go through the hassle of emailing/calling to get the original manuf. box that was suppose to come with the product in the first place.
There is no other way to look at this as simply catching them at being shady and seeing if they will own up to it.
UPDATE: Customer service has contacted and while didn't have an explanation for the box (and UPC codes) they did agree to work with SanDisk in order to secure my rebate amount. If SanDisk doesn't respond, then Beach Camera ageed to refund the $50 rebate amount directly to me. Of course they offered that I could return the product for a full refund, however I'm happy with the cards so I chose to work with them on the rebate issue.
I gotta say I am impressed with the call back and options to remedy the issue. For that I will certainly bump up their customer service rating. Obviously actions are louder than words, so truly effective customer service will be demonstrated when they follow through on their promise to secure the rebate or refund me the amount directly.

I Purchased a Samsung 26" LCD TV from this vendor.The price was right and it arrived rather quickly but the unit was defective. I was told to return it to Samsung under warranty so I did. The repair center sent me back a TV that was all scratched up and when I complained they said send it back and we will send you a refurbished one. For $500 I don't think so so I returned it to Beach Camera. Trying to get a refund from them is like pulling teeth. After a few frustrating calls to customer service I hooked up with Joe and he finally gave me a complete refund less the $19.00 return shipping. Samsung's customer service sucks and they could care less for their customers that spend good money. Spend 5 bills for a new TV and they will send you a refurb. Never again will I buy anything Samsung although I would purchase again from Beach Camera.

Everything went according to plan, my order shipped 1 hour after placing it and came by FedEx 3 days later.
The price was very good for a mostly everywhere out of stock Nikon D60 2 lens kit. Beach also included a 4gb. SDHC card and 2 Nikon videos.
I Highly Recommend Beach and will buy from them again.

Happy to report we received our replacement Sony Bravia TV and it's great. Once Scott was involved with our situation we received helpful service in a timely manner. Even the driver worked with our friend who was there to set up the new television.

I was in the market for a Sony HDR-XR500V camcorder and a Nikon Coolpix S710 digital camera. I found both of them from Beach Camera on MySimon.com for the cheapest price among all of their competitors. I called my oder in by phone and was greeted by a courteous staff who checked the status of my items to see if they were in stock and then explained my options. Shipping was free and my items arrived the next day via Fedex (signature required). I am overall very satisfied with my order from Beach Camera and would do business with them again!

Professional and honest people.I placed an order for
Sony HDR-XR520V High-definition 240-gigabyte camcorder on april 1,2009.I called before placing the order to make sure they have in stock.
The gentleman told me they have it.They shipped the order same day and I have it here in 24 hrs today Apr 2,09.Not only they have best price ,it was shipped FREE.
