BEWARE BEWARE - I just bought a $1000 Sharp LED TV and it arrived with a faulty screen. I thought BeachCamera would stand by it but NO they said call the manufactuer.  
 
REMEMBER If you buy locally you can return it for a replacemeent, it is the Holidays and there prices are GOOD!

I ordered some headphones on Thursday with the overnight shipping option thinking I would get them on Saturday. Beach Camera waited till Friday night to ship the headphones out. I specifically told them that unless I will get them by Saturday, that I do not want them. I planned to have them on my flight across the country on Monday. They did not seem to care about my situation.  
 
Today is Wednesday and the Fedex tracker says the headphones were delivered. Keep in mind I'm across the country calling home to see if my package was actually delivered. No package is found. To sum things up, not only did I waste money on overnight shipping, but also I don't have the headphones in my possession. I am very dissapointed.

Terrible customer service. I orderd online a Nikon D90 on Saturday, Dec 6th. They posted to my credit card on Saturday, Dec 6th!!! Same day! My order status showed in a "PIK" status for the next four business days (Monday to Thursday)even thought the item was in stock. I sent a couple of emails regarding the incorrect email noted on my order. Apparently their system will let you change any information on your order EXCEPT your email ID. I received one resposne which had nothing to do with correcting the email. So I sent a followup and after 3 days never did get a response. On Wednesday, 12/10 I called and spoke to "Nancy, x244". She assured me the items were in stock but they were way behind in fulfilling orders, i.e., packing & shipping. Said she would followup with shipping and call me back by 10:00pm that night. I never heard from her. On Thursday, 12/11 my order was still in a "PIK" status. So I called and finally got through to Maurice, told him I wanted to cancel and he said "fine" and was ready to hangup. I quickly asked for a cancellation/confirmation number and was told they would send an email. Then I told him they have the wrong email id so I will never receive any emails from them. I was told to use the original order number as my cancellation number. This didn't make much sense to me but he wouldn't/couldn't give me any confirmation information. Said it would take 3-5 business days to reverse the charge on my credit card. Ironically, I've ordered from them twice in the past and had no problems. However, after this experience they lost me as a customer. NOTE: since I posted this review Maurice at Beach Camera did contact me after they saw this review. He apologized for how this entire order was handled and they offered to make good by shipping the product overnight at their expense and also reducing the price. Although I appreciate the effort to make this right, I had already reordered the camera from another online retailer after I cancelled with Beach Camera. I am impressed that they had the right approach and were proactive in winning me back as a customer but it was too late as far as I was concerned. Based on their honesty and willingness to correct their mistakes I would consider them in the future.

I ordered a camera that Beach claimed to have in stock. The shipping date has come and gone. Countless emails get a reply that the camera will ship yet those dates have also passed. The latest is that it's going to ship TEN days later than promised. Meanwhile, Beach has reduced the price of this camera and still claims to have this item in stock.  
 
I wish I'd never come across this outfit. This is quite the worst online experience ever.

i did have a lot problems with beach camera and their customer service... but to be fair, maurice did fix the situation.  
 
it took 25 day and a lot of hassle but i finally received my camera lens

I placed an order with Beach Camera online for a Tokina AT-X AF 12-24mm f/4 DX PRO lens for a Canon Digital SLR on 07-24-08. After submitting the order I did not receive an order confirmation number. I also waited for an email conformation from Beach Camera for the lens purchase. No email confirmation was received.  
 
The next day (07-25-08) I called Beach Camera to inquire about my order. I spoke to Kevin in Customer Service, the name that he gave to me, and he stated that there was no order placed. I told Kevin that I converted each screen of the online order process into a "PDF" file for my records. I told him the exact time that the order was placed. Kevin, whom did not seem very enthusiastic, asked for the zip code and said that he did not see any order for that zip code. At the end of our conversation, Kevin asked for my phone number and I gave it to him. I told Kevin that I don’t want to get billed twice if I reorder the lens.  
 
I have worked in the public sector for more than 30 years, and although Kevin did not sound rude, he seemed slightly irritated with my persistence. I told Kevin that there must be a problem with their server or some other glitch in their online order service. I told Kevin that I had given my credit card number and felt very uneasy that there was no record of it in their system.  
 
I have decided not to reorder the lens from Beach Camera although their reviews seemed alright prior to my attempt to make an online purchase from them. I do not want to complicate the issue more than it is. I’ll contact my credit card provider and inform them about the issue and my concerns. I’ll just pay a few more dollars and stick with the companies that have provided me with good service. Buyer Beware is still a good practice to follow.

I don't know if my shopping experience with BeachCamera was illegal, but definitely shady in my opinion. I ordered a Sony 52" LCD tv after researching other sellers and finding they had the lowest price by $50 and it was in-stock.  
 
I received a message the following day from their verification department to call them. No problem, as I anticipated it. Called them back, verified my order, was told my order was in the warehouse and will ship later that day. I then received an email confirmation of my order having shipped. I also checked with my credit card company and verified the card had been charged to BeachCamera.  
 
Four days later I receive a email and voicemail message saying my order was cancelled. They gave no explanation as to why it was cancelled. They left a call-back number but everytime I called I got an answering machine and no live persons. I left a message to call me back for an explanation but haven't heard back.  
 
I then checked their website and found the tv was no longer listed on their site. Hmmm...Check again 5 days later and not only is the same tv back on the website, but it is listed as "in-stock" and is selling for $70 more!  
 
I've bought from BeachCamera once before many years ago, but after they wasted my time and jerked my chain this way, I will never buy from them again.

BEWARE!!!I attempted to purchase a LG RC797T and phoned to confirm that the item was in stock. After being told that it was indeed in stock I placed the order and also ordered a rack to house the unit. Several days later I received a cancellation notice and my credit card was charged. I have placed 3 calls to the company and they will not return my calls! I incurred an additional $100 rack fee due to their negilence and I am still waiting for a credit.

Lens gets to my house very fast, I was extremely happy; I wasn't going to be one of the people screwed by the company(see the very consistent bad reviews).  
 
Before even testing the lens I try to put on the filter I bought for it. The filter doesn't fit. My heart sinks, sure enough they shipped me the older, softer, cheaper version of the lens.  
 
6/1 - 6/5  
Have to deal with customer service several times, they did not give me all the information I needed all at once(giving my an RA number but not an RMA number). Finally ship the lens back to them  
 
To my horror, checking back on their website, they no longer even list the lens I bought. I still hope for the best, they told me it would be there within a week. I was both too busy and they were closed so I couldn't check with sales to see what was up.

Lens finally gets back to them. I first call sales and my fears are confirmed, they have no idea when this lens will be in. The lens I bought, that was marked in stock three weeks prior, that I was told would be there within a week, that I had spent the major part of my savings on, was never going to be in stock.  
 
Very angry now, though keeping it in control, I just asked to be transfered to customer service. I waited another good 20-25min on hold before demanding a refund. If I don't get this one thing in a timely manner I'm filing a dispute.  
 
Other important points  
- Hold times are at least 15min, often longer, and their hold message is quite annoying. When I've been waiting for a while I don't want to hear "assistance is right around the corner" and then wait just as long.  
- Customer service itself is decent enough though until I was noticeably upset the person on the other line made little attempt to sound like they cared.  
- I have to mention also that I found a better deal on this lens a few days after my purchase but assumed at the time that the lens was just about to ship so I didn't jump on it. Now my lenses price has risen about $50 everywhere. I'm going to have to spend at least $50-70 more, after waiting three weeks, because I chose to give this company a try.  
 
$30 in savings was not worth giving this company a try. If you do choose to shop with beach camera CALL SALES FIRST! Make sure what you want is in because I'm one of very many people who've been lied to this same way.

Ordered a Nikon D60 DSLR kit with SB-400 speedlight flash on-line. Not the best price, but close, and included a free Sandisk 2 gb Ultra 2 SD card. Website showed everything in-stock. Shipping confirmation same day said my order had been shipped. So far so good, very painless, no annoying call to up sell. Order arrived on-time, seven days later.  
Shipping box has camera kit only--no flash, no free SD card. Called customer service and was told flash is out-of-stock. Mentioned that it was in-stock when I ordered. Was told it must have gone out-of-stock just after I ordered, but would be back in-stock in "3-5 days." Website still shows flash as being in-stock. Hmmm....  
Asked to cancel that part of my order. CS rep was not going to refund me that portion of my shipping fee until I specifically asked. Asked about the missing free SD card. Was told that it was a separate promo and would be mailed to me in a couple of days. Boooo, Beach Camera!

I ordered a 4GB SD card from Beach Camera due to a manufacturer rebate offered on the item, making the price very attractive. Beahc Camera's website makes a point to state that you may NOT use a PO Box as they only ship via Fed Ex. Therefore, I was forced to enter a street address for my order.  
 
A couple days later I received a tracking # for my order with a link to USPS. I immediately contacted Beach and was told my order shipped USPS. I told them I could not get mail at my residence and therefore would nto get the item.  
 
I was told to wait and wait I did. The item was returned to sender (Beach) as I told them it would be. I contacted them 2x since it was back at their PO (or in their possession) and was told I should wait some more.  
 
Tonight I received an email stating that I would have to wait for them to file a claim with USPS because they swear they don't have it. Not my problem.  
 
I want the card I paid for and I am sick of waiting because of THEIR continued mistakes. A refund won't help me either because the purchase period for the rebate has passed and therefore I can't even order the item from another retailer.  
 
Initially I was excited with how fast Beach shipped my order. I thought I had found a new shop for my online camera purchases. I now see though that when Beach makes a mistake, they force the customer to suffer, refusing to take responsibility for their errors.  
 
I have yet to receive my item.

Product Great, customer service non existent. After order was placed, was told I had to sign for order upon delivery. Told them would not work, as out of town. Asked to have signature requirement removed, told could not do it, a lie. FEDEX does not require a signature guarantee. Asked to have delivery to work, told no. Third call, asked for other alternatives, customer service agent hung up on me. Ended up driving 40 miles one way to FEDEX Service Center. Will never order again as CS is non professional, they know nothing about customer centricity.

I purchased a 37" LG LCD television. It had problems right out of the box. Beach told me that I had to deal with LG. After two months of endless hassle I finally received a replacement from LG and noticed that it had packaging that didn't come with my original TV. This meant that this TV was either a display or returned to the store. This is very dishonest!

Ordered a camera and lens. Camera arrived within a week. Other box containing lens was shipped to non existemt different address in another state according to FedX tracking. I called Beachcamera and their response was extremely condescending and unhelpful. They asked me to call Fedx and give them the address info I had given them. Fed X only take instructions from shipper. I was transferred and informed that they could not change the shipping even though it was their mistake and would not send out replacement to me until they received the shipment back from FED X and that I would have to place another order. As this would take another 2 weeks it would be at a higher price as the promotion would have ended. I asked them to ship the merchandise to the address on the invoice or refund my money. They refused either.
