Bought a Canon lens via "Buy.com." Sales price with shipping was $1701.20.  
Checked my credit card bill and they charged me $40 for shipping and billed me for $1739! I called Customer Service(Focus Camera and AcePhoto&Digital) and thye said they would correct bill with faxed buy.com invoice.  
They didNOT and billed me the $1740 anyway. They now will not answer Customer Service phone or respond to eamils.  
DoNot EVER buy from these scam artists!

Just a fabulous experience, the best price, super fast free shipping, and even better, when I called with a pre-sales question, a live, nice person answered the phone immediately and helped me. Couldn't be better.

Ordered my Nikon D50 on 9/13 and got it on 9/20. Zero tax and shipping. Awesome!! Product was brand new from the factory. Highly recomended and will purchase from them in the future. Thank you for the great service!

I ordered 4 items. 1 sent within a few days, I was charged for this one plus shipping for the whole order. 2 days later was informed that the rest was backordered 7-10 days. No response to my first request for an update 2 weeks later. Finally informed that it will be another 3-3 weeks. We will see. Focus had the best price so far, but the item doesn't seem to be avaliable & they have managed to charge me $10 shipping for a 1st class 3-ounce letter size envelope.

I ordered a camera lens from this company on Friday the 25th and recieved an email confirmation of my order. The following Monday I received another email from "Jerry" stating my lens was on backorder and that "We will keep your order open, and as soon as the item comes in, we will rush your order out to you." I didn't have a problem waiting. Then on Monday March 7th, I received another email canceling my order. It also stated that I could reorder the lens at a higher price! After a few emails back and forth I found that this company basically lied to me about the lens. They just wanted me to pay a higher price for the same item I ordered. I would highly recommend avoiding this company all together. They will always call you back and try to make you pay more money. They should have honored their order to me and I wouldn't have wasted a week and a half trying to get the lens. I will never shop here again.

I had to call back to get my total. He couldn't wait to get off the phone. And it was a $900 order. I used my debit card to pay and the order wasn't suppose to process till the next day and it was processed that day. I would not do buy again unless I couldn't find it anywhere else.

Great prices, but not worth it. Trying to exchange a camera, received as a gift, was way too difficult. Not enough people to answer the phones -- we had to call a sales line to talk to someone after days of trying customer service line. Live help on site gets you an automated email that says "anna@focuscamera.com is not a valid address." We followed their instructions on an exchange -- Returned item with letter giving my address and payment information. We also gave this info to a phone rep who said she added it to our record. They shipped our other camera to my parents (original purchaser in a different state) and charged their credit card for the difference. They then had to re-ship it to us.

I bought a lense at Focus camera and the whole experience was terrible. There's no information on how much S&H costs to Canada. I had to call them (as stated in another review below, with their NYC attitude). Once I knew the amount it would cost to ship the lense, I proceeded to buy it online. Then, once I made the purchase, they then inform me that there'll be a brokerage fee. Wow. Thanks.  
 
Once I got the package, the brokerage fee was over $30!!! That's with almost $20 for shipping. So it cost $50 to ship a lense that cost $50. Once the package arrived by UPS and the guy wanted over $40 for brokerage fee + taxes, I said forget it. I returned the package.  
 
Weeks after I returned the package, Focus Camera finally credited my credit card but only for the cost of the lense, not the $20 S&H. There's no return policy to be found anywhere at their web site. It doesn't state anywhere that if you return a package, shipping won't be refunded. Their web site sucks.  
 
I regret buying from them. Had I known then all of the extra costs, I would have gone elsewhere for the lense. If you're from outside the US, don't bother buying from them.
