Bought a Canon lens via "Buy.com." Sales price with shipping was $1701.20.  
Checked my credit card bill and they charged me $40 for shipping and billed me for $1739! I called Customer Service(Focus Camera and AcePhoto&Digital) and thye said they would correct bill with faxed buy.com invoice.  
They didNOT and billed me the $1740 anyway. They now will not answer Customer Service phone or respond to eamils.  
DoNot EVER buy from these scam artists!

I ordered a new 67mm graduated ND Tiffen filter from focuscamera on ebay. A month later I received a filter in a cracked case, unsealed, with dust covering the filter, use marks on the rim of the filter, and a worn booklet. I wrote back to them complaining but they ignored the issue.

Very dishonest store. I found a lens on their site (that was in stock) while they were running a holiday promotional and bought it online. After a week of not hearing anything back, I phoned them up and asked about my order. They said that it was out of stock but back in and that I would be shipping my order shortly. The person asked if I was interested in an extended warranty (he lied about about the manufacturer warranty covered) or filters. I said no to both. Later that afternoon I received an email stating that they canceled my order. After several emails back and forth telling them to not cancel my order, they now claim that the price was incorrect on the website and they are re-offering me the same lens for a much higher price, but are willing to throw in the warranty or filters. I would stay away from these people. They will waste your time and energy because of their dishonesty.

Extremely poor customer service. I returned an item unopened within one week and they still charged me a 10% 'restocking' fee. In addition I had to call and email many times even to get that as they have a communication problem between their customer service agents and their credit department. Needless to say I won't be ordering from them again.

My web order failed to go through. I was unable to confirm this either by e-mail, which they ignored, or by calling their 800 number, which was out of order. My credit card account shows a "temporary authorization" to Focus Camera, but it was never used. Apparently the item was out of stock, but I never got an explanation.

This was by far the most HORRIBLE internet shopping experience I have ever had. The order was place on October 28th and was not rec'd until early December. This was after SEVERAL calls to a horrible customer service department. Each time I was told the items were sent, when in fact they were not. Then, when the order arrived, one item was missing a MAJOR part. So major that the item is not operable. Turns out that item is not included - but it's avaialable for an extra fee. Now, its the end of December and I am STILL waiting on that part. I was offered a $10 credit for a $1500 order. What a joke.

I attempted to order from this company but my order confirmation came up blank. I attempted to contact this company to see if my order went through and was put on hold for about 10 minutes. An annoying Brooklyn girl kept reminding me to please wait for the next person about every 15 seconds. The first person I talked to wasn't exactly sure if my order went through or not. He seems confused, So he transferred me the sales department to place another order. This new person had no customer skills at all. After 5 minutes into the call I told the person I would just order online because we could barely understand each other. He HUNG UP right away on me. It's like the whole company didn't care about my order. I eneded ordering from a different company.

Internet order did not work properly. Order for watch didnt go through, but they put the hold on my Credit card for the price of the watch. I called to order it by phone and they wanted to hit card again. Very rude customer service. Customer service was not available during the hours they were supposed to be. they are associated somehow with Digital Phot Discount Club who also seem just as clueless. Ended up getting the same watch from local JC Penny for 25.00 less and 100% less headache. Be very cautious if doing business with these fools.

Awful experience. NO communication from them. Had to ask where my order was and when it did arrive, they packed a LENS with no protection! It was bumping and thumping around in the box. Will never do business with them again.

Focuscamera.com has worse than rude service: try no service. I received no information that my order, expected to ship within 24 hours per my confirming email, was on 2-week back order. The phone system and web site said my order number was invalid. After many tries over the last few days during which time the phone system disconnected me over and over again, I finally reached a human on the phone and learned the equipment is on backorder, and that was that. I was switched back and forth between hurried and rude people, and was disconnected again by the phone system. This was the worst shopping experience I have ever had and I'll be sure to let everyone in my industry know.

Very RUDE, MEAN and SLUGGISH customer service. Seems like everyone is on holiday.  
 
Ordered instrument and wanted to make some corrections about my return but when calling customer service with the 800# - they kept cutting me off a good number of times or put me on hold forever...or to the automated message.  
 
I tried using an extention number (given to me by email) with the 800# to Morris. But upon contacting him - without being of any help, was told rudely not to call his extention again. Lack of proper coordination among departments. They don't know what is where and where is what! Returning item is a big hassle. My son would do a better job. Customer service is only in name...  
 
I will never ever, ever, EVER! - do business with Focus camera again!

I have to say that I'm extremely dissatisfied with my online order experience at Focus Camera.  
 
I ordered a Canon mount Tamron lens and received a Nikon mount. The Focus Camera customer service folks were not unfriendly, just not helpful. When I told them the problem - that while I did have the UPC code from the box, I had cut it out to send for the rebate - I was told "sorry, there is nothing I can do" and "you can try selling it on ebay".  
 
Focus Camera has a policy that states if the UPC code is removed from the box, the product cannot be returned. When I asked why, I was told "because the manufacturer will not accept the box back  
with the UPC cut off the box, even if you still have the UPC".  
 
I called Tamron and they said that was "foolish" and "of course we'll take it back and replace the box". What I had to do was send the old box and UPC code to Tamron and pay for shipping to and from Tamron and again to Focus Camera. It cost be around $60 for the entire procedure.  
 
What I would have liked to have happened (and I suggested this but was denied) is I send the lens and box with UPC code back to Focus and I pay for the old box to be shipped to Tamron to switch  
out with a new box, again for which I pay for the box and shipping. To top it off I was charged shipping on the replacement lens!  
 
This would have cost me only about $30. But Focus did not offer any solution to the problem other than "sell it on ebay". Even when I told them Tamron has no problem with returning the box with UPC for replacement, even when I suggested I pay for Tamron to send Focus a new box, I was denied.  
 
I did not spend a great deal at Focus, but I get a chuckle out of the hold message that "customer service is our #1 priority". I wonder how people who spend less than I did are treated. I wonder how much I have to spend to get an reasonable level of customer support.  
 
There was never a discussion about if Focus or I was at fault for my getting the wrong lens. Of course it's possible that I ordered the wrong lens, just as I think it is possible there was a software problem that selected the wrong product. I researched carefully what I wanted, had it bookmarked, so how could I have ordered the wrong item? Since I cannot know, I can accept that I may have ordered incorrectly (mea culpa), but Focus offered no middle ground for working out the problem. What I was told in several ways was that this was my problem, for me to work out. That just doesn't resonate with your "customers are our #1 priority" selling point.  
 
I still have items to buy, but now I'm thinking there are a lot of places I can go get what I want, and losing my business wont be a big deal to  
anyone there, but I also don't have (as yet) much good to say about Focus customer support.

I ordered a camera lens from this company on Friday the 25th and recieved an email confirmation of my order. The following Monday I received another email from "Jerry" stating my lens was on backorder and that "We will keep your order open, and as soon as the item comes in, we will rush your order out to you." I didn't have a problem waiting. Then on Monday March 7th, I received another email canceling my order. It also stated that I could reorder the lens at a higher price! After a few emails back and forth I found that this company basically lied to me about the lens. They just wanted me to pay a higher price for the same item I ordered. I would highly recommend avoiding this company all together. They will always call you back and try to make you pay more money. They should have honored their order to me and I wouldn't have wasted a week and a half trying to get the lens. I will never shop here again.

I am VERY DISSATISFIED with this company. I ordered a Hi-8mm camcorder (a week before my son’s birth) and they assured me the camera was in stock and would be shipped out to me within 24 hours. Three weeks later the WRONG camera arrived, it was the non-Hi-8mm version. I did not want this camera. They billed my credit card the for the Hi-8mm version but sent me the lesser expensive non-Hi-8mm version! I phoned them immediately for a return authorization number the moment they realized I was not calling to buy something they would put me on hold and then no one would come back to the phone.  
 
Finally after several calls to them I finally to got them to give me a RMA #. I sent the (brand new unopened) camera UPS back immediately and I am still waiting to see the credit on my credit card (two months later). I have the UPS record showing the camera was delivered. My credit card statement shows they billed my credit card the same day I placed the order but this wrong camera was shipped weeks later. I have called them back a number of times and they say they will credit my card but no credit has been applied to my card to date.  
 
These guys are crooks (I should have known better than deal with a NY camera store after all the horror stories I have read). My son is over two months old now and I still do not have a camera and they have yet to credit my account. This has been big hassle for me. DO NOT buy ANYTHING from these crooks!!!

I last ordered from focus camera a couple of years ago, but in the last couple months I have received credit card scam emails to the address that I have only ever used with focuscameras.com.  
 
It is extremely unlikely this address was just guessed out of thin air by the criminals. Either focuscamera sold my information against my will, or they had the information stolen from them.  
 
Repeated requests over a few weeks yielded no response from focuscamera.com.  
 
(The year above should actually be 2002, but they would not allow me to put 2002.)
