B and H's service is superb and their website a breeze to order from. I have ordered numerous cameras from this company over the years as well as other photo gear and have never been disappointed by thier service. Items arrive as ordered when they are scheduled to arrive. Their pricing is fair, their service honest and reliable. They do not call you or insist that you call them in an attempt to sell you overpriced add-on's as others do. There is no bait and switch tactics involved with this group. As far as I am concerned they are the best of the best and they will continue to have my business.
I used the Order number for the invoice since I could not find an invoice number, per se, on the document. This online store was brilliantly easy to use and well organized... Easy to use and intuitive in its user interface. Not to mention the great prices. Wonderful search feature. Comparison shopping could not be easier...
I have been purchasing from B&H for about 3 years now and have never had any problems. Even when I was living in South Korea the last year and a half they were great and I never had to worry about my order.
Usually very good - but I've had them lie to me on several occasions usuing scare tactics not to buy from another store.
They said they'd match prices *if it was legit* - but then I told them the price of the camera at a competing company and they said that it was bait and switch ($200-$300 less). I said I'm no dummy, I'll go there, and if they B&S me, then I'll be back - if not - you just lost $3000.00 ......... They lost 3 Large.
Otherwise, pretty decent, just don't believe a word they say about potentially legitimate competitors.

I'm not saying that you guys lie about everything - but You've never matched a price I've quoted. The sales reps I've spoken to ALWAYS tell me that I'm going to a B&S sale. It's slanderous IMO - there are several legitimate B&S's claims to be made, but they end up slandering other companies because they don't agree that it's possible to sell it that low. It may sound harsh to say that - but that's what it is. Trusting people will believe them and not shop at stores that will undersell them. That sounds like scare tactics to me, maybe I'm just crazy though. B&H may be grounded on honesty, but that doesn't mean that all their sales people are. The biggest omlette can be ruined by a bad egg. Most of the time they're good, I just don't believe their sales people are as honest as they are.

It's not even so much that you've never matched a price match and a lot to do with your sales people outright saying that your competition is bait and switching when they are not. The fact that you have not allowed for the fact that it's possible that your sales reps would have done that whether it's opposed to your policies or not, but instead infer that I am lying, which also does not speak too highly of you. I have had no troubles with you besides these comments I've made, I felt it appropriate to inform others not to expect any price matching.

While we appreciate DayVids's, "Usually very good" comment I resent and take umbrage at the unsupportable accusation that we did or would lie to a customer or to any caller at any time, ever. Our 30+ year reputation is built almost entirely on our ethics and honesty. I'm not saying we're perfect because we're not. I'm not saying no one here ever erred because, being human, we have. I'm not saying there's never been a misunderstanding or miscommunication between employee and caller because from time to time there has been. But outright purposeful falsehoods and mendacity? Never.
What we say to anyone who inquires about a price-match is that we'll consider the question on an item by item basis taking into account the item, the other price and the other price's source. Sometimes we're able to match the price and sometimes not. When we cannot it's either because of the item (availability, and so on) or the price or because we decline to engage in price-matching with certain other retailers. That's our prerogative of course.
So, while we appreciate being called, "...pretty decent..." (I guess faint praise is better than none after all) we object most strenuously to DayVids' pejorative and disparaging inaccuracies.

Not to quibble, but OF COURSE our sales people are as honest as we are. We ARE our sales people. We hire great people, go out of our way to train them continually and they know they're recorded and monitored live, additional encouragement to adhere to our scrupulously honest and ethical standards. We're sorry that you're so disappointed we haven't agreed to a price-match you've proposed and are sorry it's vexed you.
I usually have no problems when I have a transaction at B&H, my last order was an exception.
I purchased two items, one of the items was a photo jacket, I relied on the website specs and either the jacket is mislabeled or the specs are not accurate since I was not a good fit, and I am unable to wear it.
In the case of the second item, I did not receive what I had ordered (Kata E-702) but was sent a Kata E-704)
I requested that they both be returned but only received return number for both items...
Needless to say, I will buy both of these items locally to make sure I get the proper item and size.

B&H regret's zenel's dissatisfaction and any inconvenience it's caused. The size data we post for jackets, vests, etc., are supplied to us by the manufacturers and we rely upon them for accuracy.
If we did accidentaly ship a Kata 704 instead of the 702 zenel ordered, we apologise and will be happy to exchange the item he has for the one he wants at no expense, of course.
B&H PhotoVideo is simply a joy - an oasis in the Internet jungle. I have bought many pieces of equipment from them. All arrived promptly and were as ordered. Generally, they are the price leader, but I would deal with them if they were not. This is a good, reputable dealer.
B&H is the best proffesional camera store I have ever dealt with. They carry everything photographic imaginable. Their customer service is above reproach, they are fast and efficent.
I wish they would go on eBay and give the competition a run for their money.
I've been shopping at B&H for over 6 years & have had nothing but great experiences with them. I'm taking the time to write this only because I think they have the best prices & customer service and they are a 100% legit & safe place to buy unlike some other places out there. I always feel safe purchasing from B&H & know I'm getting the best deal.
B&H has always been helpful and efficient. The prices are very good, even with shipping.
Their return policy could be a little better. However, I have never needed to return an item.
