Extremely efficient processing of the order (I order around midnight and my order was shipped the same day). I received my order a day earlier (I had chosen UPS ground and it arrived in 2 days). All the materials and packaging were top notch and all rebate forms were included for my convenience. Website is excellent to use. I will be ordering lots more accessories for my Nikon D50 from them!

Great service from people you can trust! I originally ordered the Canon 70-300mm f4.5-5.6 DO-IS EF USM lens from Adorama, but cancelled when they called me and left a message to call them back regarding an "issue". Long story short, they were trying to up-sell me a service plan and a filter. This delayed my order 2 days and caused me to be dissatisfied and suffer a crisis of confidence. So when I called Adorama I spoke to "Meyer" and asked to cancel the order entirely.
I've been a B&H customer for 10 years or more. I tried Adorama becasue the price was $10.00 cheaper on a $1,160.00 lens. I should have realized that trust confidence in the merchant are worth more than the difference in price.
B&H are solid, dependable, fast and efficient. I won't be tempted to stray from them in future purchases.

I just purchased a D70 outfit from B&H along with some accessories.
When the order arrived I realized that I ordered the wrong lens. I called them and was promptly given an RMA#.
After charging the camera battery and installing it, I noticed that something on the control panel of the camera didn't look right. Some of the segments of one of the numbers on the remaining exposure indicator were not lighting (i.e. the number 8 looks like a 6 due to the missing segments, or you only see the lower half of the number 1). I called NIkon tech support and they told me to contact B&H.
I called B&H the next day, explained the problem and was immediately given an RMA # and told to return the camera for and exchange. I told the person on the phone I live in Philly and that instead of shipping the camera back that I might drive up to New York. He said that was fine, and to use the RMA he had just given me.
So far everything with this store has run smoothly. We'll see how the camera exchange goes, whether I decide to ship or go in person.
On the negative side, one of the items I ordered was on backorder. I was told that my credit card would be charged immediately for the back ordered item. I didn't mind and said okay (pay for it now or pay for it in 2 weeks, it doesn't matter). But it just seemed unusual because this is the only place that charged me immediately for a back ordered item. Other merchants I've dealt with (won't name them here) didn't charge the card until the item was shipped.

I just wanted to update this review regarding my return/exchange experience with B&H. I live in Bucks County PA so I decided to drive to NYC (~1:30 - 1:45 drive) exchange the camera and make a day of it. I walked in to the exchange dept and gave my RMA# to the sales person. The person asked me what was wrong with the camera, checked the serial number of the camera against the serial number on the box and checked to make sure all the contents were there. He issued me a new camera and showed me on the new receipt where he showed the serial number of the old camera had been exchanged for the serial number of the new camera. He said if there were any problems with the new one to call and they'd take care of it. I was in and out in approx 10 minutes.
In the past, I had ordered from Adorama, on a friend's recommendation. When Adorama was out of D70 cameras I tried B&H. I won't be ordering from Adorama any more. B&H was very professional and the everthing was taken care of in a timely manner. There is nothing wrong with Adorama, but they are very slow to ship and issue refunds. Adorama is no more or less expensive than B&H and B&H had my order to me the next day (I"m in a 1 day UPS shipping zone from NYC) and were professional and courteous.

I spent close to 3 months researching digital cameras, and was exited when I finally decided on one. Then I discovered that deciding on a camera was only half the battle.
I had to pick a merchant as well.
I first fell for the Shopper.com "sort by low price" deal, ordering from wawadigital.com. That order required a phone call to "verify" the order. When asked toward the end of the conversation, "you know this is the Tiawanese version of the camera, right?" and pressure to purchase the one "American" version they happen to have that was part of a "package," I cancelled the order.
A few days and several dozen stores later, I called another merchant in Brooklyn. In the background, someone said, "I recognize that guys voice!" and when I asked if they were some clearing house for several different companies, the salesman said, "no! we only work for ourselves...which store did you call?" Duh? You don't know the name of your own store? Click. My hunt continued.
Finally, I came across B&H Photo. They had good reviews. They had the camera I wanted for an excellent price. I ordered it Saturday night around midnight, and it was shipped Monday morning. I received it Thursday.
Could not be happier with the buying experience.

I have made several camera purchases from this retailer, starting with a very expensive digital camera. Before I purchased (in all instances), I compared prices on-line with multiple retailers, and B&H always had the lowest prices. They are in-stock 99% of the time (& when they were out of stock, they became in-stock in a matter of days),and they ship very quickly.

BH Photo and Video is probably the best company I've ever dealt with. I am a budding photographer and photographer's assistant and BH is first on my list when I need ANY audio/video equipment, not just camera equipment.
I purchased a JBL subwoofer from them last Christmas, and the unit I received was defective. I promptly sent it back and I had a new working replacement unit within the week. Their customer service and quick shipping is second to none.
With this order, I purchased a SLIK tripod. I was disheartened to see that it was out of stock yesterday and expected it to be weeks before the unit was back in stock again. Out of curiousity I checked today and the unit was BACK IN STOCK. Unbelievable. I promptly ordered it.
As for prices, no reputable retailer that I've found on or off the web can compare. In addition they often send me huge, book-sized full-color catalogs with photos and specs for just about everything I could ever want.
I live in Massachusetts, so I've never been able to visit B&H's store in New York, but I hope to soon.
All in all, a fantastic experience and a fantastic company. Nice to see that there's still some retailers in the world that care about doing it right and doing it fast. I'll be a customer for life.

I have been doing business with B&H for years. Initially in their store in nyc and for the past several years, on-line. Everything has always been handled to perfection and merchandise has always been delivered quickly and in perfect condition. Would not shop anywhere else.

I have a pair of (old) Sennheiser headphones, and I needed a replacement set of foam earphone covers. B&H had it on their website so it was relatively easy to find. They had a GREAT price, and it arrived sooner than I expected!

I bought a few items to clean my new Nikon D70s camera from B&H via their website. It was quick and easy. No hassles and I got a shipping confirmation within half a day. I also placed another order a couple days ago and again received a shipping confirmation message within hours. They are quick to ship and the website tells you off the bat if they have it in stock or not. Highly recommended and I will keep on shopping there.

B&H provides one of the best online purchasing experiences available. Great Pricing, Lots of shipping options including Priority and Express Mail and an intuitive easy to use website. Also, if you need help they have knowledgeable sales staff available via phone.
