Over the years I have made a number of photographic purchases from B&H Photo. I have never had a problem. In the past I have always done them by phone, and received very informed and courteous treatment. This time, because it was after hours, I did it on the internet. Easy to follow instructions. All three items I ordered arrived on time and in good shape, as they always have before. B&H delivers the goods, always.

B&H has a great web site. It is well organized.  
 
I was looking for an accessory to a tripod. The site made it easy to find the exact part I needed.

I orderd an extenal floppy disk drive.  
B&H had the cheapest price for that but i had 2 problems with the order  
1) the item wasnt listed properly. they had 3 kinds but htey were all listed ub=nder different catagouries.  
2) shipping didnt go out untill 2 days after it was ready to ship

I have been a customer of B&H since 2006, and I have never had a problem with them. Over the phone the (photographic) staff are courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. The website is nicely laid out and easy to navigate and their prices are very competitive. Orders are always processed promptly with plenty of email communication, and my purchases always arrive well boxed & insulated. Couldn't recommend using B&H enough.

Ordered some digital camera batteries on a Friday evening after online shopping closed but they picked up my order and shipped it on 10/26, UPS 3 day and the order arrived on 10/29 as promised. Both batteries arrived fully charged and ready to go.

I purchased the Harman Kardon HKTS-18 5.1 Home Theater Speaker System for our new Samsung LED LCD TV. We were surprised that the product arrived a day earlier than promised. Just received my JK Quicktap, telephone handset tap, a few days ago -- shipping was fast and quite reasonably priced.  
 
I have only tested the device a few times so far since I haven't had it very long but it seems to work exactly as advertised. I've tried it with my regular handset as well as a headset device, output in my case goes to an Edirol RH-09 recorder. I think you can use pretty much any voice recorder or even a mic in jack on a computer sound card, though I haven't tried this.  
 
Be sure you have the right phone, of course. There are devices out there that supposedly work with cell phones and cordless but this gadget requires a standard corded phone with the standard hookup cord between handset and phone, just like the literature says. I've dragged mine out of mothballs for this purpose, seems to do the job.  
 
Hookup takes a minute or so. Only thing I'd wish for is some way to affix the Quicktap to the side of the phone base or somewhere so it doesn't slide around. I plan to get some Velcro to hold it down.  
 
The audio quality on the output is excellent -- I was surprised at how clear it sounded. I hope to do telephone interviews, maybe post some of the output files as podcasts on my website, www.careersanity.com (end of shameless plug). I believe this device will work perfectly for this based on my admittedly limited testing to date.  
 
My next step is to see if I can hook a Plantronics wireless headset between the phone and the Quicktap. Plantronics tech tells me they believe it will work, which will be great but even if not the Quicktap still seems like a great device.  
 
If you've got the right kind of phone and need to record conversations, I don't see how it could get much easier than this.  
 

This was my first purchase from B & H, but it probably won't be my last. I was most impressed with the price of the item, along with the fact that there was no shipping or tax. Further, the ease of placing an order was a delight. Using PayPal which already has my personal information, I wasn't required to duplicate any of that, as most other sites make me do. To my complete delight, shipping was the next day and arrived the day after that. and though an unknown shipper, I was as equally happy with them as B & H itself. In addition to notifying me to date of delivery via the internet, this out also called me the day before to alert me that the package would be arriving between 3 and 7 PM. I highly recommend the company.
