Another e-mail from them. They said my account would be credited today (they promised it yesterday). The rub - They said it might take 2-3 days to appear on my credit card. Isn't it odd that they can process an order and post it too your credit card in less than 5 minutes. However, it takes 2-3 days to post a credit. I still do not believe that the credit will happen. They just give one excuse (lie) after another. I will all of you posted.

UpDate! I got an e-mail from these folks stating all their policies. Get this- They (and their web site) say that it takes 3-5 business days to process an order because of "free shipping". Do they think we are stupid. NewEgg gives free shipping on most items and it gets here in two days. They also said they would issue a refund to my credit card in (get this) 5-7 business days. Well, today is the 8th day and guess what? no refund yet. Oh, the reason I ordered the Linksys Print Server from them in the first place was because NewEgg did not carry it. I ordered it from TechonWeb and received it two days later. It is installed and running. Again, avoid this company (and techsavings.com) at ALL COSTS. I suspect they are going out of business and are merely fleecing the few suckers left that are stupid enough to order from them (including me).
WARNING! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!
After reviewing all the current complaints at resellerratings.com, I realize that I will probably never get my order. I also noticed that you did charge my credit card with lightning efficiency. Of course, per federal law, you are in violation of charging a customer BEFORE the item is shipped. I couldn't help but notice that you charged my card after 9pm your time. It is interesting how efficient you are a making the charge to my card and ignoring the actual order. The horror stories at resellerratings.com are overwhelming. Therefore, please use you lightning efficiency to cancel my order #00E7-8235357-5954996. It is obvious that you are just one more of many scam artists on the web and I hope you are sufficiently punished for the lack of integrity. I have forwarded a copy of this e-mail to the feds and reseller ratings to join the throngs and masses of people that have found you out. Good luck in jail. I am sure you will find someone who will "love" you.

P.S. I have already called my credit card company to cancel your charge. This review was modified by its author, ajbaker, on

I just want to help warn others about this horrible business. I don't have time to go into all the details, but needless to say it has been an unpleasant experience. Avoid this company at all costs! I wish I had known about ResellerRatings.com before I made my purchase. Read the reviews and don't become another victim.

These fraudsters do business under two names:
EMS Computing and Tech Savings. Two names
but the same fraudulent company.
Placed an order in December. No processing
of order took place. Credit card was charged
immediately! Cancelled order. Company promised
a refund. Still waiting for refund.
From other comments posted here I have learned
that this company sometimes not only does not
issue refunds, they sometimes will double-bill
a customer for non-delivered goods. If this
doesn't qualify as fraudulent, I don't know
what does.

I ordered a Samsung 17" LCD monitor from them, and paid by check (I moved to the US in 2000 so I didn't have credit history then). They were not the absolute cheapest, but close, and the only merchant to take checks.
They waited one or two weeks after the check cleared to ship, but the item was new and packed well.

I purchased a set of creative labs 6.1 speakers from EMS Computing. They were listed as the lowest price on pricegrabber. After I purchased the items, my credit card was immediately charged. Several days later I called because the item had not shipped even though they claimed they had 130 units in stock. When I called customer service they stated that the order had been cancelled because they did not carry the item. It took two more phone calls and another week to get a refund. How can they not carry an item if their website show it in stock and the number of items in stock goes down when you order the item? They were still showing 98 units in stock when I was told my order was cancelled. Poor service.

You get what you pay for. Rock bottom prices equal:
1)low or no customer support,
2) no returns (if you're lucky, you'll still pay high restocking fees)
3) repackaged items selling as "new"
I took my chances with this reseller and I was lucky this time. I received everything on time and in working condition.
There's no easy way to track your order before they ship it. However, once shipped they provide an UPS tracking number, which is great.
Hey, they sell everything low priced, so their margin is slim. Something has to give and that's you, the customer. EMSComputings exists solely to pick business from other resellers, more reputable ones.
They're that kind of the fish that feeds off the bottom, the leftover that other resellers don't want.
I tried to save a few bucks with them and it worked this time. However, it was my first and last time with them. It's just too risky.
Hey EMS: close your business down and reopen with a new name. Maybe you'll have better luck. Righ now your name is a curse.

This company is a scam. I have a charge to a credit card, no merchandise ever shipped. Talked to a person who was going to credit me. Never happened. Phone is always busy now and no one will answer my e-mails.

hmmmm so many complains about this company....well, that is because this company has grown and moved the location and it creates problems...just give little more time why?? well, I shop with this company more than 2 years and spend almost $10,000.00 and never had a problem always fast and always good except one time in August when they are moving...I still think this company is good and give little more time for them to fix the problem....its like when you move to new place...it takes time to reorganize and so on... NO I am not a EMS employee nor family but satisfied customer for years.....thanks

Wow, I'm really suprised to see a low rating for this company. Maybe its just me, but I've bought from emscomputing twice now and had nothing but good experience with them. I orderred a battery for my digital camera in May and most recently a set of Altec Lansing 641 computer surround speakers. I placed the order on Sunday, it shipped Tuesday and arrived Wednesday morning (this was with regular 3-5 day shipping!) Shipping was also free, I'm not sure if this is a special promotion during the holiday season or not. I'm normally apprehensive of buying merchandise online, but I would definitely buy from emscomputing.com
Not to deny other peoples' claims, but I have had no such problems.

I ordered a case and some memory from them. The memory was hard to find RDRAM (PC1066) and it was backordered. I found the memory elsewhere and cancelled my backordered memory on July 19th.
On September 20th, they billed my credit card for $273.28 and shipped my my cancelled memory order. I conteacted them at least three times before they would accept their mistake and gave me an RMA. I returned the memory and it took another whole month and a letter to my state attorney general to get my money refunded. Even then, they refunded me $272.98. Thirty cents is not a huge deal, but these people are so incompetent that I want the money back just on principle.
I hope they get shut down because this is one of the worst shams of a business I have ever dealt with.
Edit: after posting this comment, I see that late last week they billed my credit card $1.00 and then refunded me $1.30. So now I have my initial charge returned in full. However, I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau and I suggest others do so as well at http://www.betterbusinessbureau.com as I will still never do business with these people again.
