Dishonest, Fraud, No Product, Take your money.  
If these are the properties you look for in an internet shopping company, EMS computing is for you.  
 
They charge your credit card the same day. First phone call they tell you the item is being shipped. Second phone call they tell you its back ordered after they tell you its shipped. Ask they for a tracking number and they say they will send you an email with the number. Never Credited the credit card and never sent a refund check.  
 
If you have ordered from this company, contact your credit card company and dispute the charge immediately and shop some other place. Don't order from any company from Gainesville Florida. They also own Tech Savings.  
 
This made me realize how good my credit card company really is. I disputed the charge on line and was given a credit for the amount. Always use a credit card when ordering online, and make sure the credit card company has a web site to watch charges and check all charges and credits.  
 
And most of all don't buy products from EMS computing and Tech Savings and any other company out of Gainesville Florida.

Charged my credit card $153 - order never shipped. Multiple emails to them and they keep promising to refund. It's been over 45 days - BEWARE - FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD. Take the money and run!!!

FOR SOME REASON, I thought I had ordered successfully from this outfit in the past. (I guess it was somewhere else, because I don't remember having this problem).  
 
BASICALLY, they have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE....Period.  
 
Fact, I ordered and was charged for two 17" monitors on 5/15. To date I have received one email saying thank you for ordering.  
The web site indicates nothing has been shipped. I emailed them yesterday to get a status update. It is now end of business day and no email.  
They have NO PHONE NUMBER listed on their website. I looked up my credit card bill to get the phone number of EMS.....turns out is a lame recorded message saying that they don't take phone calls from customers !  
 
IF you happen to come to this message board before you place you parts order, then you are most fortunate. I didn't. Try PROVANTAGE.com.....they are excellent. That is where I will recorder my monitors while I try to cancel this order.

Same story with me. Order on 5/6/03 billed on 5/7/03. As of 5/27/03 still processing. Emailed them on status of order and they sent following: "Thank you for contacting EMS Computing regarding your order. Your order has processed and should be shipping very soon. We apologize for the shipping delay. Due to some recent upgrades to better serve our customers, our shipping has slowed. Things will be quickly returning to normal for our customers very soon. We look forward to once again giving our customers optimum service in the near future. Thank you for contacting us here at EMSComputing! If you have any other questions, or if we may assist you in any other way, please feel free to contact our office at your convenience. Thank you for choosing EMS Computing!" What a bunch of bull!!!  
I am just worried about my credit card information they have.

These people are HORRIBLE. I would never go back to get anything from these people if they were the last hardware company on the planet.  
 
ORDERING: Ordering is just fine, no problems there.  
 
PROCESSING: Cancelled my order because 7 business days later it was still being processed. Email replies to this had no effect.  
 
PRICES: Good prices, horrible everything else  
 
SHIPPING: Never got to this step with these people.  
 
FRAUD???: I submitted my cancellation order to these people and nearly a month later the charges on my card still haven't been refunded. These people obviously know that cancellations are regular because they made a special "non-human", computer generated reply for all cancellations sent into them. Also, they charge like 5-15 percent of the order price just to cancel your order...they didn't even have to do anything to make this money.  
 
HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE!

I previously ordered products from EMS in November of 2002 without problem. The order arrived in an average amount of time, was not damaged, and operated perfectly. This put them on my list of acceptable vendors to use. Neither good nor bad.  
 
When I ordered from them again on April 28 of this year, they charged my credit account the day my order was placed and sent an email confirming that the order was "in process". Two weeks later, after hearing nothing, I tried contacting them about order status. They have basically disconnected their telephones, and are answering all questions through email. They reply to me with the email version of a form letter. Something along the lines of that they are having problems in their shipping department, and the order will be sent out shortly. No specifics.  
 
That sounds familiar. We all are guilty of using the occasional little white lie to push a deadline out a day or two when we're overloaded. But for crying out loud, this is now closing in on a month! A delivery like this should only take seven days tops. On May 19, I fired off a letter stating that I was cancelling the order because I was in danger of losing the job because it was so behind schedule. After that I called cardholder services and told them to ready the order to be fraud checked.  
 
On a whim, I checked the Florida BBB website and found an additional DBA name called LowestPriceTech.com, with some additional telephone numbers. I called one, asked for customer service, and got put on perpetual hold. Up to this point I thought that they were either incredibly dishonest, or grossly incompetent. Now I'm pretty sure it's both.  
 
EMS has three days to cancel this order and issue a credit. If they don't, I will. Either way, I am not ordering from them again.

I saw their ratings were very low, but their new website is very complete and pricing excellent. If you see low ratings, pay attention!!! These people immediately charge your account and then don't deliver. Regardless of appearances, this company is to be avoided at all costs. Go somewhere else and be sure to check the feedback ratings!!

Billed me immediately for the item but promised me multiple times it was in stock and would ship ASAP. Two weeks later I became really annoyed and cancelled my order. Now, I get to see if they actually follow through.

I placed an order with EMS on 4/11/03, and my credit card was charged the following day. By 4/25/03, my order had still not shipped, so I cancelled the order by phone.  
As of today, 5/12/03, I still have not received a credit to my credit card for the cancelled order.  
EMS has also discontinued telephone customer service, all communications need to be via email. I have sent the company 5 emails and have not received and answer to any of them.  
I STRONGLY recommend that people be made aware of this less than reputable company, and it be made as public as possible that people should NEVER do business with EMS computing.

DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!  
If this was the last company on earth, I would not use them. I placed an order back in April 8th, 2003 and my credit card was charged that same day. I called after about a week to determine the status of the order. Indication from them was that shipping was backlogged. Three weeks passed and no order status. Called again to cancel my order, recieved a confirmation of cancellation email. No credit to my card after a about a week, called again and was told their credit department was behind and it would be credited to my account within three days. After that period I called back and was told that it may take weeks to process due to the $15,000 limit per day allowed for refunds. This is the last transmission I have revieved:  
Your credit has been prioritized by our Accounting Department and should post to your card within 5 business days. We thank you for your time and patience. If you have any other questions, or if we may assist you in any other way, please feel free to contact our office at your convenience. Thank you for choosing EMSComputing!

They offered free shipping on an AP that I needed, and they had a decent price, so I bit.  
 
They charged my CC before shipping. Shipping was then delayed. I cancelled my order, and they never credited my card. I ended up having to dispute the charge with my credit card company.

After nearly three weeks I have not recieved my order, in fact their web site still lists it as processing. Before placin the order I checked to insure that the item was in stock (it is also currently listed as in stock). I tried calling customer service who amazingly was able to confirm that my order had not shipped and then said they could do nothing else. I have also emailed and recieved no response. Simply put this company is not worth ordering from, unless you have an infinite amount of time to wait for the arrivalof your product, asumming it does come eventually.

Avoid this vendor at all costs. They used to be good and now they are CROOKS!  
 
Ordered Samsung monitor 3/1/03 status was "in stock".  
 
After one week no shipment cancelled order and received email confirmation indicating they would credit card within 5 - 7 business days.  
 
It's now almost two months later and NO CREDIT.  
 
They give lame excuses about no more than $15,000 credit per day and will credit me "real soon" but nothing happens.  
 
I strongly suspect foul play and embezzlement of these funds. I've protested the charge to my charge card company and will probably be able to have it cancelled but what a pain in the *&*.  
 
AVOID THESE CROOKS!

this is the second problem i have had with this company in less than 6 months. i have been waiting a month to date for an order for belkin power supplies to be shipped. at the time of the order they listed about 100 units in stock. i have not received the items and communication with EMS is difficult. i asked for a refund today and was told it would be 6 weeks before it would be received. the last refund for an NEC monitor also took 6 weeks.... MORE TO COME.... DONT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE!

ok ok this place has a bad wrap. i baught a antec sx1030b last year around this time(my b-day) that case got here in 2 days. i orderd it on monday right after school 4ish and got there one Wensday.great shipping it said it came from NJ which is not where ems is located.. FL is where it is located on the site.. anyway i orderd a Viewsonic P95F+B and me thinking as if this place shipps really quick they would have it shipped out. there are major problems with the site. i cant even see my past record of purchases or what stage my order is in or anything. i guess im in the dark right now waiting for my monitor. ive read all the other ratings and they have been getting screwd over alot. dont even bother with this place.
