This company has a great aversion to customer support. After hearing nothing from then for 5 days from my order date I attempted to check status and found my order number to be void. I was informed after contacting then it was a shipping issue with my credit card and to let them know when it was fixed. I did this that same day. Another week passed without hearing anything so I contact them again and they decided to tell me that they no longer carry the item and my order was canceled. I most certainly avoid business with this company.

Liars. I tried to buy a samsung 46" tv. Website said it was in stock and ready to ship. Two days after ordering I called customer service and was told the item was there and ready to be shipped. I called two days later and they said the item was on back order. I called four days later and was told that the supplier ran out of TVs but they were getting more. I called five days later to cancel the order and was rudely told that the order was cancelled the day before. I will be reporting these bunko artists to the comsumer protection groups.

I'm not a happy customer. This order was place three weeks ago and it has not been shipped. At first they claimed that they did not receive an order from EBILL, although EBILL claimed they placed it. SO now it shows up as an order but they still haven't shipped it. What the frig?

They had a good price on an 18" Avanti Dishwasher but when it arrived and was installed, it didn't even make it through the first cycle. It got stuck draining and stayed there for several hours before I turned it off.  
 
After contacting etronics, I found out that in order to exchange it for a working unit, I would have to repackage up the dishwasher, and pay $90 to ship it back to them even though they sold me a broken dishwasher. They insisted it as Avanti's fault and I should call Avanti to get someone out to service the dishwasher (which by the time they could service it, it would be to late to return it to etronics).  
 
A service repair man came out and "fixed" it but the next time I used it, it stopped on another cycle and wouldn't work. The repair man is scheduled to coma back and fix it again.  
 
I understand this is the fault of the manufacturer, but if you sell products you need to stand behind them and take responsibility and etronics should have paid to have it shipped back and sent out a new one to us. We have now gone four weeks without a working dishwasher and counting...  
 
*Update*: It is now 8 months later I received an email from etronics.com who is now trying to buy a 5 star rating from me on this site (all the while doing nothing to actually try and fix anything they did wrong). Here is the part of the email where they try to buy a 5-star rating from me:

Crooks and cheats. No return, no exchange, no joke. Unit will not play CD's, both SONY and retailer say that is just too bad.

Evil grey market sellers!!! Horrible customer support that tries to force you to keep broken merchandise!!! I bought two unlocked GSM phones from them. One didn't work properly. I called Etronics and they said their warranty was only for 2 days (!!!!) and after that I had to call the manufacturer. Motorolla informed me that the phones had been imported from United Arab Emirates and therefore had no US warranty.  
 
I called back Etronics and they said they weren't going to do anything about it. Luckily I had bought this through Amazon (Etronics was their reseller); when I told Etronics this, they knew Amazon would enforce their guarantee, so they reluctantly agreed to accept it for repairs. And I mean reluctantly - they have rude customer service reps.  
 
THEN, I accepted a job to work in the UK, so I knew I would be out of the country before they could return the phone. So I called back and asked for either an expedited repair or a refund. This they refused in a "I can't believe you're asking for such a thing" tone of voice. When I told the cust service rep I'd bought the phone through Amazon, she sighed loudly (I could just feel her rolling her eyes) and transferred me to a manager. This manager, who was actually very nice, agreed to give me a refund, and issued me a Return Authorization number.  
 
So I sent the phone back, thinking everything was OK. Wrong! When the package arrived, the "returns manager" overruled the Return Authorization and sent the phone back to me, untouched!!! So I called Amazon and they told me to refuse the package and they would enforce their guarantee. The package was still in transit, so I called Etronics to tell them I was going to refuse it, and they could go ahead and recall it from UPS if they wanted; they tried to convince me to accept the package, since they'd refuse it from me! This was obviously BS because they're the sender - I'd mailed it to them via the USPS, not UPS. So I got off the phone and am going to wait for notification from Amazon about my refund. Yay Amazon, boo Etronics!

What a crappy company! Ordered a pyramid car EQ and two 8 gauge amp kits. The EQ "works" but picks up alternator noise like crazy. I've tried many things to fix it but nothing helps. That's what I get for buying pyramid junk. The two "8 gauge" amp kits are not 8 gauge at all but more like 16 gauge. On the back of the package it says "gauges are measured from outer diameters". This was not listed on thier website. Furthermore, the amp kits were supposed to have 20ft. of wire but the ones I got had only 17ft. That's what I get for buying "8 gauge" amp kits for $12.62 a piece.  
So, I have very limited use for the amp kits (if any at all) and the only place I can use the EQ is in a home evironment with a 12v converter so that is is away from any alternators. After reading everybody elses review about returns, why would I even try to send this junk back? I would acquire much less stress by just throwing it in the trash and moving on with my life and never ordering from them again.

I ordered two Alpine amps, one worked fine the other one was DOA. I called to get a replacement or refund and they mentioned they only REPAIR the NEW Alpine amps. What a freaking JOKE! Now it's going on 2 months without a amp. They play jokes saying it will be done in two days, I call a week later and still not done. I will never, never, never buy from Etronics again. This place has no customer service at all. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!

I ordered from this company last year and the delivery time was acceptable (took 3 days to ship). I placed an order for two items that were shown in stock. One day after I placed the order, they sent two emails saying that due to some reason, both items I ordered are out-of-stock. And on their website, it still shows both items are in-stock and ships in 1-2 days after I received both emails. Their CSR answered my inquiries just as if they are not human being, but a dumb machine. No apology, no explanation and no regret. Do NOT order from them.

This is absolutely the worst online experience I have every had. I placed a multiple item order on 2/27/2007, at the time their website showed all items as available and In Stock. They quickly processed the charge to my credit card immediately. I was notified AFTER I received my partial shipment that one of the items was placed on back order. A month later on 3/27/2007 I called them to inquire on the status of my order, the CSR appologized and said it should have shipped yesterday but for some reason it did not. He promised that it would be shipped that day via UPS overnight. On 3/28/2007 they claim they shipped it DHL Ground. On 4/2/2007 they claim that DHL has misplaced several packages but I should receive it by 4/6 via reshipment. It is now 4/9 and they have yet even ship the product.  
 
If you don't mind a reseller to charge your credit card months before they even ship you your product then you should do business with etronics.com

The short version of my nightmare with e-tronics. (Phone number (800) 323-7669)  
 
BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU BUY AND HOPE YOU DO NOT NEED CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!  
 
I ordered a 400 disc DVD changer from them and received it just fine, but when I hooked it up, it kept “crashing” much like a computer and would “lock” on many functions. This, of course was during a weekend and I wanted to get my new A/V system set-up so I made my blunder in all of this by going to a local retailer and buying a duplicate of the player. Why it was a mistake was not clear to me until I tried to return the malfunctioning unit to e-tronics. Now, I’m not totally stupid, I checked their return policy inside and out and the only hitch I saw was a part that said “(Due to a change in certain manufacturer policies, Etronics may not be able to accept a return of your item – any item that is not eligible for return is clearly marked as such on our site – please read the terms of each purchase carefully).” I checked all over the info on the player and even went so far as to go through the motions of ordering another to see if it told me it was non-returnable. I did not see such a notice anywhere.  
 
Of course, it was in the small print, deep in the features tab of the product description. I didn’t find this out until I got 3 automated e-mails saying I could not return it quoting the change in policy information each time, even though I asked for clarification and tried to explain my situation, just a canned e-mail each time. I e-mailed because conveniently, e-tronics does not publish their phone number. With some web searches I found it however and called. After explaining my situation and asking for a manager, I got sent to the voice mail of a guy named Karl. I left a detailed message explaining my problem about how it was very hard to know the product was non-returnable, etc, etc. I got a voice mail back with the same canned response. I called back and asked to talk to a manager besides Karl but, of course, got Karl. I gave it a go, realizing I was probably not going to get it returned and tried to appeal for a change in their labeling so others would not make the same mistake I had. Karl would not direct me to anyone that could possible fix it and became rude. I asked to talk to someone above him who may be able to help me more. He said there was no one. I asked to talk to the store owner. He said he was the store owner. He said he would try to get the site changed. I called back the next day hoping to get someone besides Karl (as I did not quite believe he was taking me seriously). I asked the person who answered if I could talk to a manager, anyone but Karl. I asked it in such a way as to question who Karl was and she informed me Karl was a CS rep too. She put me on hold, when she came back it was Karl. I point blank told him I did not want to talk to him because he was a liar, I did not want to deal with someone like that and I was quite sure now that he had no intention of helping fix the website as he had stated. He refuted the lying part, I refreshed his memory about saying he was the owner. He said all CS reps are told to say he is just a CS rep. While this was going on I could hear the CS rep that had answered the phone and gotten Karl, arguing with him and him shushing her. That added to my suspicion. I asked if I could talk to someone about changing the site to be clearer. He said that he could not change it, nor would he for one person. I asked to talk to someone who could. He refused. I asked to talk to another manager. He said there was no one else. At that point I let it go and sent the player off to get fixed to hopefully sell to someone to get some of my money back.

I tried to return a product to them because it did not fit like I assumed it would from looking through their details and using their web page tools. But, because their service department delayed responding to me for over a month it went outside of their 30 day return policy and told me tough luck and to get ahold of the manufacturer. Buyer beware.

I placed an order for two lcd televisions on the 16th of December and was told they were in stock and ready to ship. After 3 days I called to make sure the items were going to make it by Christmas and they had not shipped yet so I canceled the order but Jonathan said that he would ship it 2nd day air so I waited. After two days I called back and still had not shipped. Johnathan said he would ship it next day air not to worry. The next day when I called the rep told me that it would not make it by Christmas because the item had not shipped yet but that I should print out a picture and give to my kids for Christmas!! I cancelled the order after verifying that it had not shipped yet. Two days after Christmas the tvs show up at my house so I refuse delivery because I had already cancelled the order and found the TVS cheaper at COSTCO. The items were still billed to my credit card on the 16th even though they did not ship until the 26th. After a week I called about the charge on my credit card and was told that it would be taken care of. On the 25th of JANUARY the charge was still there and Johnathan the sales rep was saying that DHL never sent them back. I called DHL and got the tracking number where they were delivered back to etronics on the 29 of December and that J Shirley signed for the return. So the whole thing was a scam and I still have not recieved my money they have had my money for a month. When I called back to talk to a supervisor like Reggie Singleton or Leo Landau I was put on hold 3 different times and then disconnected. If you read the reviews of this company that is a common theme with them. They get your money and hold to draw the interest. It is sad that they can stay in business.

2/7 UPDATE: FINALLY HEARD from Etronics with an excuse of "we didn't know if you wanted refund or exchange" which is a lie. Their RMA #'s are specific to what you want and they gave me an exchange RMA #. Requested a refund 1 WEEK ago and NO CREDIT ON MY CREDIT CARD. STAY CLEAR OF THIS SELLER.  
 
ORIGINAL POST: Received coffee maker which was cracked with plastic pcs falling into machine. Absolutely no damage to box from shipping.took over 1 week to finally get RMA. Sent back on 1/4 & have sent 2 emails for status. No emails - no coffee maker. Had only 1 wk to return AFTER RMA PROVIDED: " We will absolutely refuse any manufacturer's box that has been written on, or has any extra tape on it." TOO MUCH TAPE ? REFUSE SHIPMENT BECAUSE OF IT ??? "Please note: Once we receive the package, you will be e-mailed by the receiving department acknowledging receipt, and letting you know how long it will take to process the exchange. "please allow 5-7 business days for inspection once your package arrives" NEVER HAPPENED. NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY AT ALL. Attempting to get refund if I ever hear from them again !
