I ordered a 1G stick of RAM, it did not work. I sent it back at my own expense and got an email saying they could not issue a refund until I filled out a form on their site. I filled out the form, then I got an email saying they still could not give me a refund until I printed out this certain form of theirs, signed it and mailed it into them. When I finally jumped through all the hoops and got my refund, they only gave me 2/3 of my money back. I asked for the rest because their ebay policy says "30 Days Money Back." They replied that it only says money back it doesn't say ALL your money back. Then these sons of bitches had the audacity to file an unpaid item case!! After they ripped ME off!! I called ebay and complained and they agreed the seller is violating policy and agreed to give me the rest of my money including shipping. Read all their negative feedback before you consider buying from them, basically if you take a chance and the product works you'll be fine, if there's aproblem and you want a refund they will absolutely run you through the ringer, steal your money and damage your rating with ebay. This is the worst ebay seller I've ever encountered and I've been using ebay for 11 years.

Another victim of fraud by Spartan. I purchased computer memory that arrived dead. I returned it after getting an RMA number. Spartan confirmed receipt, but never credited Paypal. They stopped responding, after promising the refund. I lost my money.

www.spartantech.com Review: Another Fraud Web Site. This Site Sells Old Repaired Hardware As New & At A Price OF New And If Somebody Finds Out It's Old Repaired Hardware Sold As New They Show You A Word (Like "PULL" in my case) In The Listing Somewhere Which Is Printed With Some Very Light Color Small Font Which Further Open Up A Window upon clicking on it As Popup (I was able to see it but if you have a pop blocker you might find it difficult to see) Which Further Says
"Pulls - Pulls were previously installed in a computer system and "pulled" from that system for resale. Some of these systems were in use while others were new systems that never sold. In addition, since most of these items are sent through a reverse supply chain (e.g., from a retailer back to a centralized warehouse), they can show signs of further handling"
You don’t see anything in product description or on your invoice and you end up paying shipping restocking and all that for no reason if you end up returning. I purchased 15 hard drives from them they charged my card on 7-2-08 and shipped it finally on 7-17-08 15 days after making calls to them. I had a real BAD experience with them.

I was the Victim of a Bait and Switch. I Thought that I was getting a Good bargain on a 1 Gig DDR1 and what arrived was a burned out stick that was pulled from salvage as was confirmed by the local PC Tech Co. and upon trying to return the product, the Spartan tech said that he could not confirm that the Bargain memory that I purchased was from a "Pull" but if I was willing to pay a little more for the New and Unused Name Brand that they would guarantee that the Name Brand would work, and as they were aware of Some problems with the Bargain memory they would waive the 20 percent restocking fee if I exchanged the Bargain stick for the Name Brand. So by the time I had paid for the Return Shipping and the Product Upgrade And The Shipping for the NEW Name Brand memory stick I had spent $17.80 MORE than I would have if I went to a Big Box retail store. So Avoid this Company Like The Plague!!

I purchased a 128MB stick of PC100 SDRam from Spartantech. After inspecting the stick of ram, which arrived in a used anti static bag from a previous, different stick of ram, I saw that the ram was clearly USED. There were marks on the all the contact pins from general use, as well as what looked like rust spread across the bottom of 4 of the pins.
If I wanted used memory, I would have went somewhere else, which is what I would advise you to do, if you plan on purshaing from spartantech. This review was modified by its author, _John_Lennon_, on

Lied about having Presotts in stock. Cancelled my order and they never credited my Paypal account (yet). Steer clear of this site at all costs.

Well, the only reason I ordered from Spartantech is because they claimed to have the Prescotts in stock. Their web site didn’t, in no way, shape or form state that the Prescotts were not in stock. It said “Ships in 1 day”, it did not say, not in stock or waiting on shipment to arrive but I repeat, “Ships in 1 day”. When I spoke to Tim yesterday I was told that they were waiting for the Prescotts to arrive, the shipment hasn’t arrived yet, well… that is considered false advertisement. Now, a day later the web site says, “ETA 2/06”, if they didn’t have the Prescotts in stock Spartantech could have easily said so on their web site. As far as I’m concerned that is not good business practice. I’m sure many individuals will make there feeling of discuss known as I have.

Good Price but you are better off using Amazon or Buy.com. At least those companies seldom charge you 15% restocking fees for a returned product!

This is the worst service I have ever received from an internet business. Four of the items I ordered were not in stock although all but one showed in stock. When I called or e-mailed to get information it was just a run around. No one knew or seemed to care about finding out the status of the order. I called and changed one of the items while talking to Tim on the phone and when I called back the next day I was informed that it was not in stock. Even though I was on the phone confirming the item would be shipped. If you want your order order from somewhere else.

I placed an order with spartan technologies
I spoke to a TIM G./ DAVID / AND JIM.
They told me that the parts would be a
3-5 day delv. I checked after 3 days.
asking them about the order and how it was going and they gave me the run around. Now they started telling me that they are looking for the
parts. They already said that they had them
before I placed the order. This order was for
$43,000.00. Now I asked tim can i speek to
a supervisor he said no and he was going to cancel the order. It seems to me that this company takes the order and then try's to find the parts. Now I had to go back to my customer and tell the the story that they are not getting the parts 3 days later.
I will never ever call this company again.
P.S. All of the people that I spoke to were
very nasty.

I ordered an old 500 MHz PIII + Heatsink to boost the performance of an aging SMP capable system. They have an 'assembly & burn in' service which they offer, so I dropped a bit of cash on this and accepted the '24 hour testing' they mentioned. So the CPU arrives and unfortunately I end up busy and unable to test it until a month later.... but hey *they've* done the testing haven't they.
When I do upgrade the system it boots fine, but within a short time it shuts down indicating a thermal failure on the new CPU.
Using any decent piece of software I was able to trigger the failure in 2 minutes - so I can only assume that their extensive testing never lasted longer than 2 minutes.
Now, I'm more than capable of setting up a proper cooling solution, clearly these guys aren't. I'm extremely angry that they charged me for a service which they clearly did not perform. They were the only people I could find with these old processors so if you find yourself needing hte same then sidestep their premium assembly/burn in and do it yourself.

Ordered 2 CPU's from them, and wanted to return them. I wouldn't mind paying the restocking fee, but IF I was told that they wouldn't accept them back I would've been satisfied with that. Instead, the young girl that I asked to call them and get an return authorization for them was completely berated and treated like garbage by Edwin. After calling her stupid for thinking she could return an item, I called back and insisted on speaking with a manager. The manager seemed interested but reading the reviews I see Edwin is still there and up to the good business practices that they hold so high. I would've purchased from them again, but never with such a rude and inconsiderate person working there.

They did not honor the price that they quoted on www.pricewatch.com and wanted more than a hundred dollars over what they listed the item as.

Item went from ship in 1-2 days, then 1-3 days, then a week later was cancelled without warning or refund. They advertise items they dont have and cant get. BEWARE!
Horrible communication and business practices.
