Bought a e6400 laptop and works pretty well. no complaints. although speakers are a bit weak. customized it and received it in 2 weeks. a bit slow but good overall.
Purchased a Netgear WNDR3700 router from Dell. It was almost sold completely out, but I ordered one anyway. Shipped 10/1/09 and arrived 10/5/09 at my house. Seems that many people have bad experiences with Dell, but my first order was just fine and without any problems. Their discounts are really great on certain items.
This is a review for Dell Outlet.
I just wanted to say I purchased a Mini 10 from their outlet. It was listed as a scratch and dent, meaning that there would be some cosmetic blemishes. The order was originally supposed to come within the week but I soon received an e-mail notification that the product wouldn't be ready for 2 weeks. I found this a little unusual because the product was already built (there shouldn't be any delays for parts or labor at that point) To Dell's credit though, despite the delay e-mail, the product did ship on time. When trying to track the package though, the Dell website gave me an error. Because I like to know when packages will arrive I called Dell's customer service number and spoke with a CSR who gave me the tracking number. When the netbook arrived I was impressed by its condition. Besides the refurbished sticker on the bottom the netbook appeared brand new.
Despite the near appearance though, I soon found a that the right arrow key of the keyboard was too sensitive (putting my finger on the key registered as holding the key down). I contacted Dell customer service about the problem on Sunday night. Monday morning I received an e-mail for me to confirm my shipping addressing and contact number. By Monday afternoon I received a confirmation number by automated message that my replacement keyboard had shipped. On Tuesday afternoon I received my replacement keyboard and am typing on it right now. For some people taking apart parts of their laptop seems like too much work, but it was not a big deal for me. The alternative is to be without the netbook for some period of time as it's shipped back, repaired, and return shipped to me. So while some may view their repair process as a disadvantage, I view it as an advantage. Either way, you can't help but be impressed by their fast shipping times.
And while some people may fault them for shipping a faulty keyboard in the first place, I think it is somewhat part of doing business, and what defines good retailers is how they handle problems when they do arise. In my view Dell's response exceeded my expectations and I would gladly do business with them again.
I've ordered a Samsung LCD, and in a separate order, a DS Lite and adjoining travel kit. I got a great deal on both and am very happy with Dell's service. Both orders were processed quickly, and Dell's site kept things up to date. The orders were sent to UPS next day; UPS shipping was also fast. Products were in perfect condition (LCD had no dead pixels). Very happy, I would definitely order from Dell again.
This is my 3rd Computer from Dell. Worked 100% out of box. My mothers and grandparents worked 100% out of box and are still running good to this day. I buy high end CPU's and the other family members bought lower end. Customer service was great, and articulate, when I called to inquire about extended service plans. Top notch as always!
Ordered by phone, a Sharp 32BD60U 32" LCD TV on 3 April 2009. Dell price was the lowest at the time. Representative came on within one minute. I confirmed item was in-stock and confirmed free shipping per website. I only had to pay sales tax. Representative was knowledgeable, spoke perfect English, and didn't pressure me. I was politely asked if I wanted various extended warranty options which I declined. Entire transaction took less than five minutes.
Within minutes I received a detailed order confirmation email estimating delivery on 14 April. So far I'm impressed.
The next day, Saturday, I received an order tracking email indicating my order shipped and would arrive on 7 April, several days earlier than estimated. Good!
On the morning of 7 April, four days after I placed the order, FEDEX arrived with my TV, which I was required to sign for. Excellent since I don't think leaving a TV at the door is a smart idea. FEDEX also waited patiently while I checked for damage.
The TV arrived in perfect condition and upon setup also worked perfectly. This is how internet/phone ordering should be. Despite the many negative reviews here I took a chance on Dell and they far exceeded my expectations. I wouldn't hesitate to order again from them...and I'd do it by phone.

I am amazed at the Dell hating...I buy from Dell all the time. Everything from desktops, notebooks, servers, storage, software...even TVs and cameras when we need them...and have rarely ever had an issue, and if I do have an issue, they are quick to make it right. They have become my "one-stop-shop" for all things I.T. related.
Ordered dell mini 9 for a cruise, with standard shipping. I noticed that it was not going to arrive in time, so I sent an email to Dell asking how much it would be to upgrade, because I needed it by the 10th. Dell upgraded my shipping to overnight and also increased the priority on my order. I got it a week later, with plenty of time to spare.
I don't why so many people are bashing on Dell.com. I recently ordered a portable hard drive at 2am in the morning, and it arrived at my dorm the next day at noon! (free shipping method) Overall I'm a happy customer. I also received 7% off for EPP and additional 4% off for DPA, so it was like not paying for tax :d
