I ordered a Motorola phone on October 7th and it's now November 18th and I still do not have my phone. I have been emailed a USPS Tracking number that doesn't work. I have tried multiple times to email them and haven't got a response. I called them and I did get one call back from lady who said they would get it shipped out and that was a month ago.
I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ONLINE COMPANY.
It appears there business is registered in Florida and because of their non-response it has left me with no other option but to contact the the local Better Business Bureau and possibly the attorney general to see what my options are.

took over two weeks to get my phone(lg vx9900)and then it had a broken charge port. Called to inform them of the situation and their solution was to send me a new charger, uhh? Any how I'd be wary of dealing with them if I were you I know I won't be shopping there anymore.

It took multiple weeks to get my order in the mail. I had to call the customer service line 3 times. Not worth the extra effort. I have already told family members not to use this website to order products. They suck. Also, they have tried to mark this review as invalid, and tried to deny that i did business with them. Awesome.

After 8 days that the order was placed and many phone calls, they wrote "We apologize for the inconvenience, but we gonna go ahead and refund your VX8350, please kip in mind that take 72 hours to show the refund on your account."
I did not cancel the order - I guess that they did and are now going to refund to my credit card the dollar amount of the PO?????
I still need the item - on 10-30-09.
- I wasted the 8 days, phone, and Email time.
NOT HAPPY WITH THIS SERVICE.
The Order was placed and payed on 10-22-09.
On Oct 30 the E-mail they would issue a refund with in 72 hours.
Now two weeks later, 11-13-09, they still have not issued a refund.
They told me that they have zero stock and for the passed 3 week the LG VX8350 Gray on their WEB site shows that there are 47 in stock.
They have no stock.
WHERE IS MY MONEY???

Do not buy from this company. They misrepresent what they are selling. I bought a Motorola HX1 bluetooth headset that was list as NEW item, what I got was the headset and charger in a plastic bag. None of the accessories or instructions were included. Not to mention the original packaging. It also took them 2 days to ship from the date the order was placed. This is too slow for an item that is listed as in stock. I've already logged a dispute with my credit card company and also filed a mail fraud investigation because they ship via USPS and by sending me a used item, missing stuff when the website clearly states it is new is mail fraud.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.
---- UPDATE ----
Well, your idea of clearly indicated and mine are completely different. Plus, the bulk packaging it came in is not the original packaging, as there are signs of the mounting tape used on the headset and earloop. So your "repackaging" by my definition as a consumer makes the device used as you had to open the original packaging and handle the device. It did not come from Motorola that way. So, send me a box and a call tag so I can ship it back at your cost, I'm not paying to ship it back. This review was modified by its author, cstumpf750, on

Buyer beware -- if anyone insists on buying from this company, call first and have them confirm the product you want is in stock. Their website is not updated to reflect what is/isn't in stock.
Their method of confirmation is sorely lacking as well. Twelve days and two (order processed & order completed) e-mails after my order was placed, still no items delivered. I called and was informed that the items ordered are not in stock, despite the order completed confirmation, and my account was refunded.
On a better note, the woman I spoke with was very helpful and e-mailed the refund confirmation when asked. This review was modified by its author, otisbdriftwood, on

I am a technology professional and have been in the industry for over 9 years. Purchasing the product was relatively simple however; Thrifty Computer.com has some very serious problems with communication.
I purchased the item from their website on September 4, 2009(Friday)however; the order was not processed until Tuesday the following week so I thought. I called in and they explained that because of Labor Day weekend, they were closed. I can accept that, what I cannot accept is that the following week on Monday 13, 2009 I had to call them to find out where my product was.
It does not end here, I was then told that there was a problem from either their vendor or "sister company" and that I would not receive the item until Wednesday, September 16, 2009. I accepted the fact that I had no control over the situation and they stated they would refund my shipping costs.
Well, guess what? It is now Thursday, September 17, 2009 and I had to call into them again. I explained to them my complete displeasure with the entire process in dealing with Thrifty Computer.com. Again they stated they would refund my shipping costs. This is not the answer folks, I would have been a lot less aggravated had they communicated the issues in an effective manner. I was told that my product should be delivered by Friday, September 18, 2009.
This is my first experience with them, I will probably never utilize them again. In all fairness, others may have had a good experience however; I have not. I am a business owner myself and I am disheartened with how they handled this transaction. I even asked who the owner was and the individual stated she did not want to give me the information. I have two very small pieces of advice for this company:
1. Under promise and over deliver.
2. Always communicate with your customer, communication, communication, communication is key.
Thanks to them, I am going to try even harder to ensure that my customers are never treated this way and I will ensure that communication is never an issue.
Regards,
Displeased Customer, USA
Update: I still do not have my phone, The phone was not shipped out until September 17, 2009, and now it is September 24, 2009. I was told after calling multiple times, emailing and other forms of communication that now it was the US Post Office who had messed up the order. Well, I just don't buy it. There seems to be no accountability with this company who states they have been in business for 7 years while not acting like it.
I am supposed to wait until they recieve the phone and then wait again for them to ship it out, which I told them I wanted it next day air through the UPS. We will see what happens.
Regards,
Still waiting.......

I ordered a Samsung phone on the 26th of August, it is now the 13th of September. The two to three day shipping, is a lie. I still haven't received my phone. I called six days after I ordered it, the lady I talked to told me it had already been shipped, and it should have been there the next day. I couldn't call until the next tuesday because of the holiday weekend. I then talked to a lady named Kayla, she was very nice. However she told me my order hadn't been shipped and asked if I could wait until thursday (the 10th of September) for it to be delivered, didn't happen. I called her she told me the other company they work with was having problems shipping (basically they were slacking off, not having problems) their items and it would go out the 11th. I asked her if she would give me a tracking number, and she said she'd email it within the hour of the phone call. She did not, and would not answer my calls the rest of the day. Now it is the 13th and I am waiting to hear what they have to say tomorrow. I want my phone, I've been waiting over two weeks and it's ridiculous. Least they took the 8 dollar shipping fee off...or so they said. I will update my review upon further inspection. I hope they read this and decide to take some affirmative action. Otherwise they will lose customers, and good ratings.

The unit was supposed to be new. From thrifty computer's product page: "This phone is BRAND NEW! Its retail packaged, included is the phone, battery & charger."
It is clearly a refurbished phone. The back battery cover does not match the phone, the battery itself is a no-name replacement, not an original Motorola. The charger has European prongs, not US, with a European to US adapter thrown in. The manual is for a generic Motorola phone, not a RAZR V3. The back battery plate shows scuff marks and the Cingular logo (a company that hasn't existed for years, now).
All items were unsecured and loose in the box. Items had been placed in plastic bags that had clearly been opened, crumpled and then reused.
The packaging is clearly not the original retail packaging.
This retailer has been dishonest and deceitful in this transaction. The item is not new, it is an obvious refurb.

I waited a week to have thriftycomputer cancel my order. They actually charged my credit card, called me to confirm my identity, and verified that my order was accepted. Then, it was canceled. When I called, the customer service rep was unprofessional. Big waste of my time.

I ordered a Sierra AirCard 881 Unlocked Wireless PCMCIA Network Card. When it arrived I learned that I received a box that said Sierra Aircard 881 but inside was a Sierra 875 card and a cd that may have gone with the older card. There was also a lack of packaging in the box that it came with and a flier for Unlocked Cell Phone Kings. I sent the whole thing back to the original address with confirmation delivery through the USPS. I emailed Thrifty Computer.com with the issue an received a reply back asking if I wanted the correct product send to me on Aug. 3rd 2009. I replied yes. A week passed and my confirmation for having sent the other card back showed it was received on wed. the 5 at 9:40am. I called the customer service line and the lady stated that it had been shipped to on Fri 7th. which was 5 days later than they had promised. The customer service person said it would be here no later than wen 12th. Well its now the 15th of Aug. still no product. Its now time for fraud charges to be filed. They are in breach of contract for failing to abide by the contractual sales agreement of the terms of the purchase. The have made 3 additional promised via email and over the phone and all have been broken.
Well its Sept. 9th I have received the product I ordered and a full refund for all the hassle. This company is going through some growing pains but hopefully well be all the better for it in the long run. This review was modified by its author, dmarshal, on

I am very frustrated with this company. I ordered a phone on August 2, 2009 and I have still yet to receive it and it is August 13, 2009. There was a holdup and it supposively was not even shipped until 5 business days after I ordered it. Now 4 business days after it was shipped there still is no sign of it. I cannot get a customer representative to call me back or answer any calls. I will not use this company again.

I rate this company 0 out of 5 stars. On 08-04-09 I ordered a Palm Centro phone from them. On 08-05-09 I received an email from them that said my order had been successfully completed. On 08-06-09 the debited my charge card for the purchase price. On 08-12-09 I called the company because I had not received the phone. I was told that my order had been cancelled because they had determined that their inventory of Palm Centro phones was defective, and they had returned them to their supplier. I asked why I had not been notified about this, and they had no explanation. I asked why they had not credited my purchase price back to my credit card, and they said this had been done. I said there was no record of this refund on my credit card account web site. A few minutes later I received an email from them showing that the refund had been processed during my conversation with them on 08-12. Ironically, I also received another email from then at the same time stating that my order had been successfully completed. I called them again, and explained my concerns to a supervisor. He had no satisfactory explanation. I told him I had just ordered the phone from another on-line seller, and had paid $32.52 for overnight delivery, which I felt his company should pay because of their unsatisfactory handling of my order. He said they would consider sending me a check for half of that, or a little more. We'll see.
