Good: I'm very happy with the rental. It was a Canon EF 16-35mm L 2.8 Mk.II lens. Very clean and pristine. Worked great on my assignment. The delivery was right on time, and I was glad that happen, I had less than 24hrs. to find another lens if this product had not arrived on time, so I am pleased.  
 
Bad: The one thing I really dislike is the awful smoke smell. I am not sure if this comes from the rental or from the last guy(s) that rented the lens, but the pouch it came inside was just too disgusting of cigarette stench. If there are any other photographers reading this review, please if you rent a lens, do not make it stink.  
 
Other than that a good experience. I will rent from them in the future, just that I would put a note on no smelly rentals.

Excellent. Flash came in day after ordering. Was offered the weekend as well for an extra $5 but did not need it. the unit worked perfectly and was a great learning experience for me without having to purchase the flash. After using it I may well try to save for the SB-800 instead of the 600, but until then, if I need a flash I will happily rent from here. The return was a little more fraught than I had hoped, but more due to my mistakes. The return shipping has to go FedEx ground and my local store did not take ground shipments but took the box anyway. Luckily Camera Lens Rental let me know that it had apparently not shipped and I was able to track it down and send it correctly with no extra charge. Overall a great experience, just be dillagent returning the item!

I will definitely be coming back to CameraLensRentals for all my lens needs! As I am just beginning my photographic career, I am not in a position to be able to afford much new equipment. Their services offer great quality product at reasonable rates and it's a great way to test out something you've been interested in for a while. I was so pleased with their efficiency. I had a couple questions and received quick, personal responses. An emergency in the family delayed my being able to return the lens on the due date, but a quick call and email and they were completely understanding and quite empathetic. I would recommend them to any of my photography friends and can't wait for my next event so I can rent another one!

Plus, when I was having problems with FedEx delivering in my area, they easily switched it to UPS for my convenience! Wonderful company!

I Rented a canon 70-200 2.8 IS, and a canon 100mm macro lens from cameralensrentals.com.  
 
After a couple minor issues ( on my end) everything was cleared up, and shipped super fast!  
 
Barry was incredibly nice, and took care of all of my needs!  
 
They are my new lens rental location of choice. I will not be going back to the other few that i was using before.

great experience with camera lens rentals. in fact got the lens a day earlier than promised. like the fact they send you a reminder to ship it back, not that i had forgotten, but a good thing. lens was perfect, preformed flawlessly. will use them again.

Received everything on time. Lenses were in great shape and worked fine. Return shipping was easy. Will rent here again. The only complaint is that the packing foam smelled really bad...a heavy smoker must have had the packing material before i did...not a reflection on the products tho. i looked at other reviews and found that some had complained of the smelly packaging too.

Camera Lens Rentals continues to exceed my expectations in each and every category in customer service. They were prompt, courteous, and the lens was in pristine condition. They're always a pleasure to work with.

My Husband and I rented a camera from Camera Lens Rental for out wedding. We had a friend who hobbies in photography but was no professional who agreed to take our pictures. The camera was so user friendly that my Husband and I were able to take some pictures of our pets and of the the Wedding Venue getting set up on our own and no one could tell that we took them and not a professional. The owners of our wedding venue who see weddings once a week were shocked and amazed with the quality of the pictures and the camera. When we told them the price of renting all of the equipment they could not believe what a great deal it was to rend the camera for the weekend...imagine their surprise when I told them it was not just for the weekend we got to keep the camera for 7 days! We ended up saving thousands of dollars by not using a professional and we also have the luxury of owning the rights to our own pictures. With all the cost associated with a Wedding would have thought the place we would save the most money would be on the pictures! Receiving and returning the camera were a very easy and full proof process and I know if we ever feel the need to have a good camera again we will not think twice about renting another camera from Camera Lens rental. What a great experience!

I am a professional portrait photographer and don't have a need for the specialty lenses. So when I was going to a workshop in Idaho I decided to rent a wide angle lens to shoot landscapes. I have used Camera Lens Rentals before and love their customer service. I have even bought a lens from them before. They are courteous and helpful. My lens arrived on time, worked great and shipping back was effortless. I loved the lens so much that I plan on renting it again for an entire month to see if I can incorporate it into my business before I purchase it. I called Camera Lens Rentals on Monday and told them I needed the Lens Tuesday, they told me to make a note of it on the order form online. The lens was to be delivered the next day but through an error made by FedEx (tried to deliver to side door instead of the front) the lens wasn't delivered until Wednesday. This was to no fault of Camera Lens Rental. When I received the lens it was in excellent condition and took amazing photos right out of the package. The reminder email to return the lens was extremely helpful and saved me from accidentally not returning it on time. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone wanting to try out a lens before buying of a good way to diversify your lens collection when you need to.
