Good: I'm very happy with the rental. It was a Canon EF 16-35mm L 2.8 Mk.II lens. Very clean and pristine. Worked great on my assignment. The delivery was right on time, and I was glad that happen, I had less than 24hrs. to find another lens if this product had not arrived on time, so I am pleased.  
 
Bad: The one thing I really dislike is the awful smoke smell. I am not sure if this comes from the rental or from the last guy(s) that rented the lens, but the pouch it came inside was just too disgusting of cigarette stench. If there are any other photographers reading this review, please if you rent a lens, do not make it stink.  
 
Other than that a good experience. I will rent from them in the future, just that I would put a note on no smelly rentals.

Excellent. Flash came in day after ordering. Was offered the weekend as well for an extra $5 but did not need it. the unit worked perfectly and was a great learning experience for me without having to purchase the flash. After using it I may well try to save for the SB-800 instead of the 600, but until then, if I need a flash I will happily rent from here. The return was a little more fraught than I had hoped, but more due to my mistakes. The return shipping has to go FedEx ground and my local store did not take ground shipments but took the box anyway. Luckily Camera Lens Rental let me know that it had apparently not shipped and I was able to track it down and send it correctly with no extra charge. Overall a great experience, just be dillagent returning the item!

They sent the order a day early, which ended up being a life-saver. Severe rain and flooding shut down fed-ex delieveries for a day so it got here right on time. I was so grateful for the extra shipment margin!! I had asked for an extra battery and they said they were going to put it in, but when the camera arrived there was only one. They weren't charging me extra for it, but it was still an inconvenience. The staff at Camera Lens Rentals has always been helpful and prompt.

CameraLensRentals.com was the only reputable company I could find that offered Pentax equipment for rent. The DA* 200mm f2.8 telephoto prime I rented arrived on time and in very secure packaging. The lens came with a protective UV filter, lens caps for both ends, and a Pentax carrying pouch. Aside from some minor cosmetic marks that did not surprise or worry me, the lens performed as I expected.  
 
Returning it was simple: I used the same box and same dense foam packaging material they sent to me. Since the shipping was round trip, all I had to do was put the gear securely inside, tape the box closed, and stick the provided label on the outside. FedEx took care of everything else.  
 
If I ever need to rent a lens (or body, flash, etc.) again, these folks will be at the top of my list.

I was incredibly pleased with Camera Lens Rentals, and will certainly do business with them again. The prices were competitive and the customer service was excellent - quick to respond and very friendly. I was even given an extra day or two of rentals at no charge for this order, without having to ask for it. Very impressed.

I'm a graduate student on a budget and just getting into photography. Last weekend I decided that I wanted to try photographing birds over the weekend with a more professional lens than I currently have. I placed my order Wednesday and had the lens Friday afternoon. The lens was well-packed, performed admirably, and was very easy to return to FedEx. I will definitely be using CLR again to experiment with different lenses, and I now have a good idea of where to invest my money if I decide to purchase a new lens.

Rented a Sigma 70-200 f2.8 for a concert, and had a very good experience with CameraLensRentals.com. They had very quick e-mail response to my questions, and everything was handled very professionally. The lens arrived well packed and with the return label included. As a minor annoyance it smelled like cigarette smoke, but aired out OK. The lens was in great shape and worked well with my Pentax K200d.  
 
I received e-mail updates at all points along the road, and it was a very positive experience. I will definitely rent from them again if I need to do so.

This was my third lens rental from Camera Lens Rental. Photography is a hobby for me, and I am not ready to invest in having professional lenses in my bag all the time, but when I travel I love having the option to call up CLR. They are very well priced, quick to respond to emails and ship their lenses so well packed, that I never have to worry that I won't have my lens when I leave on the plane. I look forward to renting additional lenses for the holiday season.

I rented a lens for sporting events that got rained out so I didn't get a chance to use it. I emailed CLR and asked them if I could extend my rental period and they had no problem with it. I also emailed them with other questions and their responses were always fast and courteous . The lens was in perfect working condition and a lot of fun to use. Over all a great experience!

I will definitely be coming back to CameraLensRentals for all my lens needs! As I am just beginning my photographic career, I am not in a position to be able to afford much new equipment. Their services offer great quality product at reasonable rates and it's a great way to test out something you've been interested in for a while. I was so pleased with their efficiency. I had a couple questions and received quick, personal responses. An emergency in the family delayed my being able to return the lens on the due date, but a quick call and email and they were completely understanding and quite empathetic. I would recommend them to any of my photography friends and can't wait for my next event so I can rent another one!

I Rented a canon 70-200 2.8 IS, and a canon 100mm macro lens from cameralensrentals.com.  
 
After a couple minor issues ( on my end) everything was cleared up, and shipped super fast!  
 
Barry was incredibly nice, and took care of all of my needs!  
 
They are my new lens rental location of choice. I will not be going back to the other few that i was using before.
