I recently hired a Nikon AF-S DX 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 G IF-ED VR for use with D60 over a long weekend in Milan instead of my usual two lens combination.  
 
The ordering process was incredibly simple and the explanations provided on the website talked you through the whole process.  
 
The communication from the company was excellent throughout. Regular e-mails kept me up to date on order confirmation, despatch and feedback.  
 
The lens itself was, as expected from Nikon, first rate and in excellent condition, provided with a Hoya protective filter and very carefully packaged in a reusable foam lined box.  
 
The returns procedure via the recommended courier well was explained and worked out fine.  
 
Overall the service from Lenses for Hire was first rate, the equipment well maintained and the experience both pleasant and rewarding.  
 
I would have no hesitation in utilising their services again or making recommendatiions.

I needed a lens quickly that was too expensive for me to buy but renting was an option. I decided to use Lenses for Hire based on other reviews on the web.  
 
I was not disappointed, the service is excellent and friendly. The lens was in tip top condition and thanks to getting the day before my hire started I had time to test it and calibrate it with my camera.  
 
I'm very happy with the results from the lens and the superb service from Lenses for Hire. I'll be using their services again and again.

Top notch service from the guys at Lenses For Hire. When ordering the Canon 70-200 f2.8L from them for a charity event I missed the duration box (which defaults to a week). I stated in the notes that I would only need it for the weekend and return it on Monday.  
One of their reps phoned me within an hour and offered me a three day rental instead, saving me some cash!  
 
Lens arrived exactly when it should have, was in excellent condition and did the job beautifully for a great price.

I was very impressed with the service from Lensesforhire. They have given the whole service a lot of thought. The selection of lenses is great and the courier service worked faultlessly. We were going on safari at Kruger and wanted a better lens than the one we had and were not sure we wanted to spend the money without trying something out first. I even called for some advice as I was undecided between the Nikon AF 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6 D ED VR and the cheaper/lighter 300mm version. Advice given was absolutely perfect as I went for the 400mm and it was an excellent choice. Service was great as were were travelling just after Christmas and Stewart & the team made sure we received the lens on time and it arrived in perfect condition. Delivery and pick-up service was efficient even with the chaos as a result of the weather.

Fantastic service. The lens I originally ordered was damaged by a previous customer, and the store phoned me to offer me a replacement, a more expensive lens at the same price. Friendly approachable staff, a straightforward procedure for returning the lens. Altogether a very positive experience, and I'll definitely use them again.

This was the Second time I have used this company and yet again it was a pleasure from start to finish. ordering very easy,communications frequent, and service second to none, I will be using lensesforhire.co.uk again without hesitation for my trip away in May.

I wanted a lens to take on safari to Uganda, so hired the Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM. Communication with the company was excellent which was just as well as my period of hire coincided with the deluge of snow in early January. I had to change the address to where I wanted the lens delivered at the last moment, trying to anticipate the snow and where I would be (work or home) on the day. In the end I had to collect the lens from the Business Post depot in Crawley on my way to Heathrow! But that certainly doesn't reflect on the company as the travel disruption was considerable! Returning the lens was much easier: I rang at 12.20 (a bit late for same-day collection!) and the courier picked it up from my home two hours later.  
 
As for the lens itself, it arrived very well packed in a strong plastic case, with instructions, filter and lens hood. The images have certainly exceeded my expectations. The lens quality is superb and the Canon image stabilisation works very well indeed.  
 
Hiring a lens from Lenses for Hire certainly seems to be a very viable option for those times when a specialist lens is required, but the capital outlay for a new one cannot be justified.

In a word, faultless. This was my first time hiring from LensesForHire and I was overwhelmingly impressed. In particular I appreciated the friendly, personal and most importantly, helpful emails that were exchanged before and after the hire period.
