This is a great service at a reasonable price. I wanted to try a Nikon 105 macro lens out to see if it was something I should buy. Good communication with LFH via email and easy return via post office or courier. Why not try a different lens and get some inspiration for your photography? We all get stale on the odd occasion and a new bit of kit usually sparks us up again. You get a whole week to use the lens or longer if you need more time. I will use them again as I want to try some of the more exotic tele lenses for birding. I cannot justify spending £5-6000 but I can justify a week's hire cost!  
I cannot judge them agaisnt other hire firms but I would give 5/5 for the service I received.

Hired a 300mm F4 for 3 days; it was delivered 2 days before the shoot day, really well packed. The lens was tack sharp and in perfect condition. They picked up their phones when I called and quickly and politely address any questions I had, even though they must hear them 100 times a day.  
 
I hand delivered the lens back as it was cheaper for me to do this than pay the strange £10 extra pick up fee (not lensesforhire's policy, but the delivery company insist on this strange charge). All very easy.  
 
The communication was also superb, with emails coming at every stage of the hire through to confirmation of the off-hire.  
 
Needless to say that I will be using this company a lot more in future and will happily recommend it's services.  
 
I hope this company will extend it's equipment to cover all aspects of HDSLR filming kit too; like mics, dolly's, Zoom H4n, matte boxes, follow focuses etc....

This is the first time i have used Lensesforehire, and they whole process has been far simpler and easier than the other companies I have used before.  
 
I hired a Canon 500mm f4 L IS USM which I previously owned. The courier service was fantastic, quick collection after the assignment and the cases and security are great. The lens was in perfect as new condition, a tribute to both the company for their care and other users for handling the lens professionaly.  
 
Would continue too use them on a regular basis.  
 
The lens produced sharp clear images from the tests it was put through.

I hired a Canon 300 f2.8 at the last minute for a safari in Kenya. The whole rental process went very smoothly with excellent, friendly service from LFH. The lens arrived in plenty of time and performed flawlessly in some pretty tough conditions, turning in eyeball slicingly sharp shots. Interestingly there were 3 other LFH lenses in the safari group, 2 500f4s and a Nikon 300f2.8. I know the Nikon was well recieved and never heard any grumblings from the 500s. A good job well done from LFH. Also worthy of note here is Kicheche Camps in the Mara. I doubt you will find better hosts.

An excellent service from an excellent company, product despatch and follow up services could not be beaten. I will happily use the company again and would recommend them to anyone wanting to use the best quality photographic equipment. The idea of hiring lenses and other equipment makes great economical sense compared to buying the equipment which would spend most of the year in its case unused. Well done Lenses For Hire.
