I have purchased two items from this store. The first item was a watch which worked fine and was in perfect condition and i was very pleased with overall look and quality of the watch. the second item i purchased was cell phone, the cellphone was in an alright condition it arrived with a few scratches the overall quality of the phone is good and the touch screen is responsive. The only other problem with the phone is the battery life, if i am full on texting the battery life only lasts about 3hours and it is flat :( that's why they probably gave me two battery's. overall u are buying from china and what u pay for is what u get. overall i was pleased from buying from them. but the biggest thing for me was the phone battery is crap, i have never had and a problem with there shipping, there shipping prices are very cheap and fast. WARNING!!!!
Don't take a chance on losing your money. I strongly suspect that any positive reviews are posted by employees of LightInTheBox. After over a month, and one response to my two requests for a reason this simple order was taking so long (they agreed on October 3 & said they would "definitely put a rush on your order"), I still have received nothing.
I asked for a refund if the suit didn't exist on October 17 and still have no response. They took my VISA money within minutes of sending the order....it seems strange they can't refund in a week. The correspondence is posted below (most recent first - I am M------).

O man, I thought that this site was too good to be true. And indeed I was right. The online catalog of the wedding dresses was amazing and they all looked beautiful. I couldn't wait to choose my dress and when I did...I was disappointed!!! The dress was not the same as it was in the photo or in the description at all!!! And when i contacted them to help me resolve this or at least exchange...they ignored! When I tried typing a review complaining about the dress they didn't even let it show up. I do not recommend this site at all!!! At first it sounds perfect and the service is great but once something goes wrong, they all just go wrong...don't let the prices fool you. Save your money instead of wasting on something you don't want. They don't allow bad reviews.

I ordered 3 cellphones at LitB in 2 separate orders. All of them arrived , but one phone was defective on arrival. The other 2 were okay, although one of them had a pair of earphones that didn't work correctly. I complained about the phone, and they asked me to send it back, which I did of course. After that I mailed them the tracking number of the package I returned. 2 months later I still don't know what is going on. I don't know if they gat the package and I don't know whether they are going to replace the phone.
Last week I started to harass them by sending them a few mails every day, and then they woke up and reacted. Some guy named Denny is going to look what has happened and promised to solve the problem. More to come...
Two days later, Denny woke up. He mailed me and told me he was going to replace the phone, and asked if I wanted teh same model or a different one. More to come... This review was modified by its author, beckysmile, on

This was the first order that I had ever placed with Light In The Box and will DEFINITELY be the last. I placed my order on Sept. 5 and it is now Oct. 15th....I have yet to receive my order OR any promised email notification from this company. I have spoken with countless "live chat" reps...William, Crystal, Larry, Nebe...etc....THEY ALL LIE THROUGH THEIR TEETH. Telling me that my order will ship on so and so date....NEVER DOES and has yet to ship out. As of right now, I have been ripped off by this company. They have taken my money and not shipped me the dress that I ordered a month and a half ago. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT do business with LIGHT IN THE BOX.....they lie, cheat, and steal.

I placed my order of 18 soccer shirts/shorts this month and paid with paypal of $355.81 on Oct. 6.
One soccer shirt/shirts was unavailable so I cancelled it leaving me with an order of 17. I was refunded through paypal on oct. 21 for $11.70.
My shipment arrived october 28 with only 15 of the 17 soccer shirts/shorts. I am missing:
one: Liverpool 2008 Away Soccer Jersey/Shorts (ZQYF013), size adult XXL
one: Argentina 08/09 Away Soccer Jersey/Shorts (1-4QF010), size adult XXL
As for the 15 items that did arrive, one of them was the wrong soccer shirt/shorts and size.
I requested one child medium shirt and shorts of Italy I-4QF001 (powder blue and gold) but instead I received one child large shirt and shorts of Italy I-4QF009 (white away 07-09).
As for the two items missing, I requested a refund via my paypal account.
After numerous emails, sending photos of the incorrect items, and finally showing Lightinthebox.com their error, the problem was fixed. It took about two months to fix. An unsatisfactory response on their behalf.
I have not shopped there since then.

Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money to buy your item from anywhere but here. its been 15 days and my item hasnt shipped yet. when i talked to them they said thats how it works and theres nothing i can do. its gonna take well over a month for me to get my item. dont shop on this website. they are rude and could careless about anyone they just want your money..

Oh man, I can't even begin to describe my frustration with this "company"!
First of all, don't ever plan on calling them because the number they give on their website goes to NO ONE! No one will answer, no matter what day or time you call. Their online representatives are a total joke. It's only to give the illusion that someone actually cares about your problem...and unless you don't know how to navigate around the site, they are totally useless. I asked a rep named "Jason" why no one answers their phone. He said, "It's nite in China." That's great and all, but your website states that it goes by EST, not China time. And when I did call at a time that was 10am in China, guess what, STILL no answer! A legitimate company would have customer service available by phone to be able to address problems directly. This is a HUGE RED FLAG in my book.
The dress I ordered is very nice, except that it's not the measurements they stated on their website! The size chart on my invoice is COMPLETELY different than the size chart on their website. This is their problem, not mine! I ordered a size according to the chart they have up on their website and they send me something different in my invoice. Why are there two size charts floating around there? A customer orders one thing and you send them something else...yet somehow it's my fault for not measuring correctly? My measurements were correct according to the size chart on your website, not the size chart in my invoice. There is a difference of 2", 5", and 2" inches!

Buyer, beware! Lightinthebox is Chinese SCAM! The items are fake, therefore poor quality! You will not be able to return
them and get a refund!
Scam, Scam, Scam!
Do not order!
I ordered a dress through 'lightinthebox.com'. I got suspicious when I found out that the item would be shipped from China.
When I finally received the dress after a 1 month wait, the dress turned out to be a very poor attempt to copy the dress on
the picture, so it only vaguely resembled the dress I was hoping to get. There were multiple quality issues, like:
- threads sticking out everywhere;
- streaks and rugged edges on fabric;
- stains on fabric;
- a piece from back lock came off when I tried a dress on;
Also, though I provided the right measurements, the dress didn't fit me at all.
Needless to say I requested that the item will be returned and that I should get refunded. After a week of discussion with
their representative, they denied my request, even though it complied fully with their return policy.
I suggest that you take this information into consideration!!!

Why oh why didn't i find these reviews before i bought anything with this awful company. I bought a dress and total cost of €160 (approx $190) - it was at least 2 sizes too small and the material was beyond cheap...when i told them this they said to check the label - if it said size 8 like i ordered then there was nothing they could do - it may as well have said size 20 it was so badly fitting. It did not look at all like the dress in the photo and i really wouldn't have minded so much but i would have been able to buy a very nice dress for that price here....so be warned!!!!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!
I ordered a phone from them (stupidly), and when it arrived the screen was cracked, and the phone wouldnt do anything. I have contacted their customer service almost EVERYDAY since March 5, and still have not come to a resolution. You should stay away, and do NOT endanger your money. I recommend you pay the extra 50 bucks and order somewhere else

BUYER BEWARE!!! Do not buy from this company. I purchase a dress for my daughter 1st Communion (girls size 8). I received it 3/4/09 and the dress is a size 14. They won't answer their phones, email replies take a 2 day turn around and after proving they sent the wrong dress all they said was to return the dress and they will send out another one. They would not send a prepaid postage for this item even though I had proved wihout a doubt it was the wrong dress. They would not talk to me on their online chat. They kept hanging up and when they realized it was me again they refused to answer the online chat. I lodged a complaint with Paypal so now their is a ticket against them. I also notified the BBB. What good is all this if Paypal continues to be a part of their system. I hope they yank their Paypal Certification from them. I am out $87.00 and refuse to add to that total by paying for more shipping. I wish I had seen these review before making this purchase. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT USE THIS MERCHANT.

i ordered a phone almost a month ago and they sent me an email saying the phone i wanted was out of stock. well on the site it still doesn't say that the item is out of stock. i sent them an email telling them another item to send instead, but i never got a reply back. i have sent more emails, all with no response. my order status says processing, but it shouldn't take a month to process an order, ever. do not order anything from this site, don't let the fact that you can pay with pay pal fool you. they are very unprofessional and have terrible customer service, as in none. DO NOT BUY.

Please stay away from this company. I purchased a phone from them in October last year, it arrived and we found the charger damaged.I have, after numerous emails and phone calls been sent(twice now) a replacement travel charger,not phone charger as requested! I have persisted as you cannot purchased them in my country! I give up! The only way to communicate now is through live chat as my emails go constantly unanswered. Live chat are lovely of course forever promising that someone will get back to me....Promise!!Well, over it now and and on a mission to let the whole world know what to expect when dealing with Light in the box.............what a shame!!

I'm in agreement with the others who say "stay away from this vendor." Luckily, I only lost 20 bucks, unlike some others here.
Ordered product November 14, which supposedly shipped the next week. The tracking number that they provided wasn't valid, and there's no way to find out if they actually shipped. Needless to say, I haven't received the product that I purchased.
No way to contact them, not responsive other than telling you "don't worry about it". When I wrote to them asking for an immediate refund or reship, they said that they would resend but never gave any idea when.
Now, over three months out, they will not respond to emails.
Bunch of crooks.

I pushed a complaint to PayPal, and mentioned the complaint in a comment on the Light In The House help ticket.
"A complaint has been filed against Light In The Box with PayPal.
In light of all the complaints online against your company, I hope that PayPal yanks their authorization to use their name and services on your website."
What do you know... the order has shipped again. If you're waiting for your shipment, this might work for you too. (Now I just have to receive the products.)
