Purchased a 89 us/dollar mask and 50/us dollar sword for halloween from light in the box 150 total payment thru paypal .. was supposed to be shipped before halloween explained by disclamier that any oders before 22 of october would be recieived by halloween i ordered on the 16 still havnt recieved even on the 28. ALthought most of the reviews here are some of somewhat positive there is a site that has over 50 negative reviews i believe alot of the reviews here to be fraudulent despites the great effort ressellerratiengs.com uses to screen their members check this site http://reviewfbi.com/lightinthebox-review... filed complaint with paypal will hopefully be refunded .. but in general very poor service nothing but grief and i believe they have another site Kookua.com doing the same things saling the same products .. watch out beward .. DO NOT PURCHASE from these sites .. check reviews on mulitple place before you decide to purchase. Company dose not even have a way of contacting them .. i have sent several email inquiries via website that should have been address in 24 hrs its been 6 days with no response ... save yourself the headache

I ordered a dress and it says that you can get a refund on unwanted items as long as it is desputed within 48 hours. they took my money right away but have not even addressed my refund. the service ticket says that they will reply within 24 hours and it has been weeks now. my order went from pending the next day processing and as soon as I put a claim in paypal for fraud, they put it back to pending. NO explanation. I have written to them many times and have not recieved an answer, and when I go to their customer service chat, they say that they only deal with presale and that I should submit another service ticket. Also, I did some searching on the site and found a number, and I thought,"finally, now I'm getting somewhere." But when I called it, it rang once and hung up. called it back, it rang twice then hung up. And no one ever answers. I did a google search on the number and found out that it was used for another site called sellerkey and that it was never a working number. I have asked their customer service about this number and they never give me an answer. Everything that I have experienced with lightinthebox has been very bad. I just wish that I checked the reviews before actually purchasing from them. I am still waiting to hear from them and do not expect them to send me my item or give me a refund for it.

I was trying to keep my wedding frugal and these prices on bridesmaids dresses were really reasonable. But let me tell you, it has NOT been worth the effort spent with the hassle dealing with these people!! They are quick to take your money, but slow (if ever) to refund it! I placed an order for 4 bridesmaids dresses on 8/23, 3 of them standard sizes and 1 of them with specific sizes that they were to make. Their website says that should only take a few days longer. After a month of hearing nothing from them, I contacted them via live chat. They gave me a shipping date. Well, that day came and went--no shipment. I contacted again--given another date. Still no shipment. And both times, I was asked to provide my email address and the agent would contact me within 24 hrs with an update. Never did. Finally, the third time, I was told that they could make the 4th dress!! and that I must choose a standard size, place another order for it and they will just reimburse me for it as part of the first order. Because I needed the dresses immediately, I complied. Finally I got my dresses, but I have not yet recieved my refund nor any responses as to when they will. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!

These guys are definitely scammers!  
 
Its about a month now since I ordered and  
paid for my stuff.  
 
After 15 days of my order when I asked them about it, they  
told me that one of the items is not available and they're gonna refund me the  
money.  
 
I got a refund by PayPal for the item in a couple of days after  
that.  
 
Now after 10 more days I asked them about the shipment, they told me that  
Another item is not available no more.  
 
Since PayPal gives me a 45 days of gap  
to open a dispute, those SOBs are trying to stall so I couldn't open a dispute  
and temporarily suspend their PayPal account.  
 
Hell, I'm willing to go to VISA,  
MASTERCARD and all those other Bozo's who certified them!  
 
If you guys wanna  
screw'em HARD, I'd recommend piling up complaints to PayPal, VISA, Mastercard,  
AMEX to stop or suspend their incoming source to make them MOVE.

Don't take a chance on losing your money. I strongly suspect that any positive reviews are posted by employees of LightInTheBox. After over a month, and one response to my two requests for a reason this simple order was taking so long (they agreed on October 3 & said they would "definitely put a rush on your order"), I still have received nothing.  
I asked for a refund if the suit didn't exist on October 17 and still have no response. They took my VISA money within minutes of sending the order....it seems strange they can't refund in a week. The correspondence is posted below (most recent first - I am M------).

O man, I thought that this site was too good to be true. And indeed I was right. The online catalog of the wedding dresses was amazing and they all looked beautiful. I couldn't wait to choose my dress and when I did...I was disappointed!!! The dress was not the same as it was in the photo or in the description at all!!! And when i contacted them to help me resolve this or at least exchange...they ignored! When I tried typing a review complaining about the dress they didn't even let it show up. I do not recommend this site at all!!! At first it sounds perfect and the service is great but once something goes wrong, they all just go wrong...don't let the prices fool you. Save your money instead of wasting on something you don't want. They don't allow bad reviews.

I was THOROUGHLY disappointed with these people.  
I ordered a cosplay on the 28th of September, and on the 30th was told it was processing. Fair enough, and was told to wait 21 days.  
However, it has not come through AT ALL after all of this, and i have sent numerous inquiries into my order and tried contacting them everywhich way i can.  
Nothing.  
So i'm fairly sure i've spent £50 with nothing to pay for it. I've demanded a refund. If i do not get it, i'm getting my bank on their case. I should have looked at reviews first before i tried to use them.  
Thanks for your rubbish service, i'm angry that i used shitinthebox.com.

I'd just like to say, doing business with this company is like trying to get a bull the the eye of a needle, no one answered my inquiries, the live chat feature is obviously a computer based program, and if not, these people are lying near constantly. When i set a deadline, i expected it to be met, it was well within the minimum time required for them to get it to me (i bought a cosplay costume) and yet i heard nothing. no one would answer question, iv emailed, live chatted, and inquiried about the same thing over and over, but still no response. i was hopeful at first cuz i got a fast update and everything seemed fine. Now it seems that they just dont give a shit about me. If i had the time, i sue this company, because they have wasted my time and money. every business has a standard it must live up to, get the product to the paying customer, on time. Light in the box, fails missably, anybody that buys anything from them is doing so at theyr own risk. You will loose your money, you wont get what you want, when you want it, and this is why if i could rate this company, id put it in the negative scoring. You are foolish to do business with them, and im not making fun of you, i did, and im the fool for doing so. Light in the box, how bout shit in the box.

This was the first order that I had ever placed with Light In The Box and will DEFINITELY be the last. I placed my order on Sept. 5 and it is now Oct. 15th....I have yet to receive my order OR any promised email notification from this company. I have spoken with countless "live chat" reps...William, Crystal, Larry, Nebe...etc....THEY ALL LIE THROUGH THEIR TEETH. Telling me that my order will ship on so and so date....NEVER DOES and has yet to ship out. As of right now, I have been ripped off by this company. They have taken my money and not shipped me the dress that I ordered a month and a half ago. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT do business with LIGHT IN THE BOX.....they lie, cheat, and steal.

I placed my order of 18 soccer shirts/shorts this month and paid with paypal of $355.81 on Oct. 6.  
 
One soccer shirt/shirts was unavailable so I cancelled it leaving me with an order of 17. I was refunded through paypal on oct. 21 for $11.70.  
 
My shipment arrived october 28 with only 15 of the 17 soccer shirts/shorts. I am missing:  
 
one: Liverpool 2008 Away Soccer Jersey/Shorts (ZQYF013), size adult XXL  
 
one: Argentina 08/09 Away Soccer Jersey/Shorts (1-4QF010), size adult XXL  
 
As for the 15 items that did arrive, one of them was the wrong soccer shirt/shorts and size.  
 
I requested one child medium shirt and shorts of Italy I-4QF001 (powder blue and gold) but instead I received one child large shirt and shorts of Italy I-4QF009 (white away 07-09).  
 
As for the two items missing, I requested a refund via my paypal account.  
 
After numerous emails, sending photos of the incorrect items, and finally showing Lightinthebox.com their error, the problem was fixed. It took about two months to fix. An unsatisfactory response on their behalf.  
 
I have not shopped there since then.

Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money to buy your item from anywhere but here. its been 15 days and my item hasnt shipped yet. when i talked to them they said thats how it works and theres nothing i can do. its gonna take well over a month for me to get my item. dont shop on this website. they are rude and could careless about anyone they just want your money..

This is the worst store you could ever do business with. I ordered 3 Junior Bridesmaid dresses - tea-length - and all three are dragging on the ground, much too big, unwearable. I looked into alterations and it would cost another $100/dress. Light in the Box refuses to refund my money and PayPal is no help. I am out $300 and now I have to take all 3 of my girls shopping this weekend to purchase 3 more dresses locally.  
 
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY - THEY ARE A COMPLETE SCAM AND THEY WILL NOT REFUND OR REPLACE YOUR ITEM IF IT IS INCORRECT.  
 
The mistakes are theirs, the money lost is yours.

I had the same problem as Davis07. Their ad said one thing and I got another. Customer service is not the best at all. I Returned phone and it supposedly got lost in mail, they said they did not receive it back and I cannot track it. So I am out the money and phone. Your best bet is not to do business with this company. I will not do any international buying from now on.

I ordered a cell phone from Light In The Box last year and have yet to use it. I found it to be really complicated and hard to use, and really should have returned it for a refund. It now sits in a drawer in my home office. I will probably give it to someone for Xmas this year.
