They stated they had all 5 items in our purchase order in stock. We received a shipment it had 3 of 5 items and one on them was a unauthorized substitute which we could not use. The other 2 items are still on backorder.  
Please make sure they have your produst in stock and that it is exactly what you want or you will find it difficult to cancel the order.

Ordered a Nikon Coolpix 5700. When I called  
to confirm the ordered I was told  
" you have not ordered the rechargeable battery  
and the charger for this camera, how come?"  
When I told him that it should  
be included with the camera he was rude  
and sarcastic in his remarks. He told me  
"Nikon ships two different versions of this  
camera, I bet you did not know that, did you?"  
My shopping experiences on the Internet have all  
been positive with this exception. I could not  
believe how rude this person was towards me and  
how deceptive the practices of this merchant are.  
I cacelled the order.  
DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE.

Sold me a 'grey' market camera, the manufacturer wouldn't service it. Shopphotoking.com said they would, sent it to them December of 2002, they do not respond to emails about it, I was on hold for one hour and 12 minutes yesterday, been on hold for over 30 minutes several times before, they still have the camera (over 90 days) and will not respond to status questions.

POOR CUSTOMER RAPPORT.PUSHY SALES POEPLE AND BAD FOLLOW UP SERVICE.AVOID DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM.  
I bought a NIKON COOL PIX 5700 from them and sales person somehow talked me into buying lens accessories with an adapter.As it turned out the adapter was the wrong kind and I tried to call the sales person Joe to complain.He said the right item will be sent to me immediately and after week long wait still no replacement item.Back to Joe,who kept me on hold for 30 min.and I had to get to my work so I hung up.I tried again next day and it is the same thing. The tel.system is set up to frustrate the caller.So I returned the item by the advice of the credit card co.and I still lost the claim because they issued me a store credit.Now I dont want to buy anything from these poeple inspite of the store credit and they dont want to issue me a refund check.This is in the amt.of 300 dollars.  
My advice is to stay away from these poeple no matter how attractive the deal may seem.Buy from a decent store even if it costs a little extra.

I was referred to this site by a friend who purchased the same flash I was looking for. According to him, it was sent to his door without any problems. So I order though them without checking reseller ratings (won't make that mistake again). I paid a extra 30 for priority shipping and then 2 days later received a email about calling to confirm my order.  
 
Talked to some slim ball (called himself Jay) and he did a extremely high pressure sale to get me to by some rechargeable batteries for $30. Told him no, and he said fine, the flash will be here in 3 days.  
 
7 days later no flash, and I decided to look here, this is where I read about these jerks, call them up to track my order and they hung up on me (accidentally disconnected, funny that did not happen when they were trying to sell me the batteries) 3 times. I finally talk to someone (after screaming to everyone on the phone), and they said the flash just shipped, I told them to screw off and cancel my order or I will just call my credit card company and kill the charge.  
 
Easy to say, I will never do biasness with them again.

Ditto everyone else's comments. These guys SUCK ! Bait and switch. When I said that I only wanted the camera (Canon S45) the ship time moved to at least 4 weeks. I guess its good that he at least told me that it wasnt going to ship. This was after an hour on hold.

Please beware, these people are shady.Just wish I knew of this site before dealing with them. My experience is very similar to the testimonials on Discovery Cameras and electronics.Very frustrating to deal with, basicly sent wrong item,almost couldn't return item, and now they are threating to ruin my credit rating if I don't give them their exorbitant shipping fee and 5% restocking fee.I hope this is the last I ever hear of these people.Truly bad news!!!!!If you have purchased and can't get an RMA number just send it back and keep proof to show your return was rejected and work with your credit card company,their advise helps.

I can't believe these con artists are still in business. They are bait and switchers! I lost $250.00 because they sent me a bunch of junk I didn't order or want. I had to get Discover involved just to get back some of my money. They were able to get about $1,600. out of 1,850..  
 
These people made more money by me sending the junk back then if I had kept it. Not a whole lot of insentive to do honest business.  
 
Stay away from them. Everything bad I have read about them on this site is true, I can prove it.

can not imagine any form of torture worse than doing business with this Photoking. Instead of shipping me the video camera I ordered they shipped me an old used camera in a new box. When I immediately shipped it back to them, informing them of the problem, the accused me of trying to full a fast one. After all this I have absolutely nothing to show for my money. These people are professional thieves. My only means to an end will be to hire an attorney in New York to try and recoup some of my money. I hope this review helps someone avoid the same mistake I made.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!! I've been shopping on the Internet for eight years and this is BY FAR THE WORSE EXPERIENCE I've ever had; I wouldn't recommend anyone dealing with ShopPhotoKing.com.  
 
I went on their site and purchased the C-3000 Olympus camera on a Monday for a family vacation the upcoming weekend. After I submitted the order form I received an email from ShopPhotoKing telling me I had to call to confirm my order. I called to confirm; after waiting on the phone in excess of 15 minutes I confirmed my order with Scott, a sales rep. When confirming the order Scott mentioned that the shipping was 3-day, I said no, it's supposed to be 2-day shipping and that I HAD to have it before the weekend for our vacation. He said no problem and said he changed it to 2-day shipping.  
 
To be certain the shipping was changed to 2-day I called that same evening and after being on hold for 10 minutes I talked with a sales rep who said "yes, I see you spoke with Scott and yes your shipping was changed to 2-day". I reiterated that I had to have it before the weekend.  
 
After not receiving the camera on Wednesday I called once again, waited another 40 minutes, finally talked to someone and they put me on hold forever. When they finally got back on they said they were switching me to the Tracking Department. When I was switched I got a recorded message saying the Tracking Department was closed. I called back, waited, and started to tell them that I was switched to a closed Tracking Dept and before I could get three words out of my mouth they switched me to same recording again. I once again called back, waited, got a hold of someone to help me, they put me on hold and was hung up on. This went on for a good while, ended up having to call back 10 times.  
 
Finally talked to someone regarding my order, Stacy(#249) the "order tracking" girl, at first she couldn't find my order. Kept putting me on hold, coming back after several minutes asking me to respell my name, asking for the order number, etc. Finally after doing this a few times she said that she found the order and that FedEx had lost my camera and she was "sending me another camera, risking that I may end up receiving two". Yeah right!!! What a liar!!! And that she couldn't send it over night and that it had to be 3-day shipping. I told her to give me the FedEx tracking of the lost package and I would keep up with myself. She said she would have to wait for the "systems to update in the claims dept" and she would call me back with it. Yeah right, I never got a call back.  
 
By the following Tuesday I still hadn't received anything so I started calling back again. This time I was talking with Michelle(#229); her story was even more of a lie. At first she said she didn't see anywhere that the first camera was sent out; then put me on hold and came back saying "oh yeah, the first camera was lost and all traces of the order - tracking number, claims number, etc - was wiped from the system". I said I still want the FedEx tracking number and Michelle said she didn't have it and that FedEx wiped it from their system as well! What a lie!!! For one thing, it's against the law for FedEx to do so, and second, their not worried about the supposedly lost camera, not putting a tracer on it to find it? Yeah, whatever.  
 
Needless to say, I finally received a camera on the FOLLOWING Friday, almost two weeks after I placed my order! There was an Order Receipt in the box and it said that it was shipped out the day before, FedEx overnight!!  
 
I continued to call to get that tracking number and Stacy finally gave me one but it was bogus and FedEx doesn't have that in their system at all, no claim/trace have been put on it, etc, etc.  
 
I know this is a long write-up but this is just a very short outline of what all was said and done. As I mentioned, I order constantly over the Internet on a monthly basis for years know and this experience has disgusted me. I give them the LOWEST RATING and WOULD NOT refer anyone to ShopPhotoKing.com. They are VERY UNHONEST WITH VERY POOR SERVICE!

I was very pleased with the delivery of a Minolta 5600hs flash unit at the price stated. Ordering went smooth by website but I had to call to confirm with the code on the back of my credit card. I was e-mailed with the Fedex tracking #. The unit does not appear to be a USA warranty unit, but at the price offered I really did not expect it to be. My original price search via Pricescan.com had it listed under US warranty units.

DO NOT TRUST ALL THESE POSITIVE REVIEWS! The review of Photoking everywhere is grossly negative, except here. I bet these scums are entering the reviews themselves.  
 
I ordered a Canon A30 from these crooks a few months ago. It was listed as "In Stock" at the site. Then comes the "call to confirm you order" crap. I called in, was offered accessories, and I refused. When I refused, they said fine and hung up on me. I waited 2 weeks and didn't receive anything. So I called back. After waiting for more than an hour, I finally got through to some rude salesperson who told me my order is backordered, and offered another camera, a Kodak DCXXXX instead. Since I urgenly needed the camera for a present, I said ok. After I hung up, I checked other sellers and saw that the camera they are replacing the Canon A30 with is A LOT cheaper than the A30. So I called back again to cancel my order. After another hour wait, I got through to another rude salesperson. I briefly explained the situation to him, and he inpatiently told me: "ok, I'll cancel your order", then hung up on me. No order confirmation number, no name, no reference, nothing. I thought my ordeal was over with and purchased an A30 somewhere else. A week later, the Kodak showed up at my front door!! I called these crooks to complain and demanded a return. They told me there will be a 15% RESTOCKING FEE! I didn't even open the UPS package! I got extremely angry and told them I'll be returning it and filing a chargeback with my credit card company. The attitude of the salesman turned from nasty to obscene. He threatened to sue me and hung up.  
 
I don't know how many hours I spent dealing with this company. At my hourly income, the time I spent on the phone with them basicly equal a Canon A30. If you like to be abused and tortured, by all means order from them. But if you are not into that stuff, STAY AWAY!

These people are crooks! I ordered a radar detector and was told that it was in stock. A week later they called to say that it was backordered and would be here in a week. It's been a month and a half and still nothing. Everytime I call them I get put on hold for over 45 minutes, then someone picks up, transfers me to someone else and I end up on hold for another 30 minutes. DO NOT ORDER from these people. Go elsewhere, somewhere where they care about their customers.

I ordered a Nikon N80 camera and other accessories from them and everything arrived in good working condition. I have 2 problems with their service. Their sales people are too pushy. I argued with one salesman for several minutes before I could convince him that I would hang up the phone if he didn't stop trying to sell me something I didn't want. The other problem is that they claimed to offer a $50 rebate on the camera. There was no rebate info with the camera so I called them. They said I needed to contact Nikon directly. Nikon said that Photoking was not authorized to give rebates. I called Photoking again and after 20 minutes on hold, they said they would send me the info. Needless to say, I haven't see the info after a month.

I ordered a reconditioned Olympus digital camera from Photo King. It arrived at my door in a few days as promised. The camera worked fine and I'm generally happy with it. The problem I had is with the customer service. The software that came with the camera (a disk) was cracked. I contacted Photo King by telephone to get a replacement. After waiting on the phone for over half a hour several times, I finally got through to a live person, who immediately put me on hold again. When I did get through to someone who cared, they said they would send the disk to me. I waited for a few weeks and called them back to see what was taking so long. After another half hour wait on the telephone, they advised me that the software had to be ordered and should be here in a few days. I'm still waiting and have lost my patience. This company has incredibly lousy phone service. If you buy from them, expect to ignored if you ever have a problem or need to return something. I, personally, will never do business with them again. They are not customer friendly.
