DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM TECHON DIGITAL!!! Bait and switch routine and a waste of your time to even look at for buying anything from them. Sony Cybershot DSC-T700 $245.00 - NOT!!!
Rude, liars, crooks, Etc. Got heavily preasured to buy accessories. When I declined, I was informed that this was not a USA model and that the USA model would run $350. Canceled my order. Contacted customer service and got hung up on twice within the first 15 seconds. Called a thrid time and was told to call back later to talk to a manager. Called back the next morning to talk to a manager. I can't tell you how rude and stupid these people are. Tell you what, give them a call at 877-425-9933 and see for yourself.

I should have read all of the negative reviews PRIOR to ordering from these scam artists! I also should have known when I got the messages (on both cell and home) trying to VERIFY my order. When I called back and spoke to William, he turned extremely RUDE when I told him I did not need the accessories he was pushing me to buy but to just send the Nuvi 750. Then, low and behold, I got the same bullsh*t message that they send to everyone who does not buy their high priced accessories about the item being out of stock for 7-8 weeks and that the order was cancelled. I too cancelled my credit card because if these people are such low lifes, I hate to think nof them with my credit card number. RUN as fast as you can if you are thinking of ordering from them. Why can't these guys be put in jail!???
I tried ordering a Nuvi 760 from these guys and was tild that I had to buy an SD card in order to do an update to te maps unless I wanted to send it off to Garmin for 6 weeks.
The SD card they were trying to sell me was over 8 times the price of Best Buy's retail.
Upon refusal, he said that my unit was on back order.
I called the salesman a liar, retard, stupid and a douche. He then challenged me to a fight. I am awaiting the idiot to show up at my front door as I would love to whoop that punjab's butt back to israel.

Please read all other reviews, as they are absolutely accurate. I wasn't smart enough to check reviews out first, which I normally do. Guess I was so excited about finding a Panasonic Lumix tz5 for $205, that I lost my logic. Anyway, I got the same email other reviewers wrote about so I called them. After being on hold for several minutes, a man that not only had a very heavy accent, but also spoke so fast I could barely understand what he was saying to me. He tried selling me the memory card and batteries, saying the camera wouldn't work w/out either of these and they were greatly overpriced. then he said something about a grey model, which I did not understand and asked him to explain. He started YELLING at ME and told me to pay attention to what he was saying. When I figured out that he was telling me it was a grey scale camera - meaning it's not for USA sales and has no warranty (plus the manual is in Japanese). I asked how much it was to order what I actually wanted and it was almost $100 more. Then he just yelled and said he was cancelling the order and hung up on me. Now, I work in the customer service industry and have never spoke to a customer like that. I hope this company gets put out of business soon b/c no one should have to deal w/ that. I'm making it a personal little goal to find as many review sites that list this company and post what a horrible company Techondigital is.
WOW, i knew something was fishy going to techondigital.com but like everyone else i was lured in by their cheap prices. I saw them on everyprice.com and went and bought a canon powershot sd1100-IS plus a little case too. A customer rep called me no sooner than 2 minutes after placing the order to confirm it. He said there was no point in buying a camera without a decent battery and that the one that was supplied with the camera would only last 15 minutes. It was a battery that they were selling for $150.00 and was adding it for a just $100.00. I said "i don't know" and he replied "enjoy your order" and hung up. I called back, and answered to a man named "Jefferey". He said is was pointless to buy a camera without a battery and that "it's not like you're buying a house". I was a bit speechless at this point because i then realized this was all a scam. I wanted to cancel my order and Jefferey said he would throw in a $219.00 2g high speed memory stick, a cleaning kit, and tripod in for free. I still wanted just the camera and he said it was now a value package and that my only other option was to cancel the entire order. I felt lost at this point and went straight to my cc company and requested they protect my account. These guys are no different from thugs selling fake rolexes in front of liquor stores. TechonDIGITAL.com (formerly, The Digital Nerds) advertises the lowest prices, but has NO intention of honoring the order unless one also buys absurdly priced accessories. The products are considerably cheaper than ANYWHERE else but the accessories are priced two to three or more times what they sell for elsewhere. After placing the order on line, I received an email purportedly to verify my order. The person tried to schmooze me and sell me a memory card, repeatedly asking personal, non-order related questions after I told him I needed to get back to work and just wanted to confirm that my order was in stock. After he could tell that I wasn't interested and I just wanted to confirm that my order was in stock, he told me it in fact WAS out of stock and would be one to two weeks.
I immediately looked them up on the some popular tech review forums and found this long list of negative reviews claiming the same bait and switch tactics and story after story of the exact same selling practices:
Please review this page as there are dozens of people with the exact same story and much much worse- people who've ordered from them only to find that the INCREDIBLY low priced product is out of stock after you didn't buy additionally OVER-priced accessories.
Please help shut these guys down by reporting them to the Better Business Bureau!
