After haveing the worst experience ever with emscomputeing I searched around for another site to buy a sound card at a good price. Comeing across outpost.com I checked here at resellerratings and seeing a 8+ rateing i figured it HAD to be better than EMScomputing. Ordering process was a brease and a email was sent to confirm the order immediately. Will update or post once more when I receive the order

I ordered parts to build a new PC from this place, newegg, and techonweb (all of which have high ratings and can be great places to shop online depending on what you're looking for)... purchased a motherboard for a relatively low price. The things I ordered from outpost arrived at my home the earliest since they're closer to Michigan compared to newegg and techonweb... overall good purchase... I will shop with them again.

One of the best online shops out there. Bought so many things from their store over the years. Watchout for deals - like, I found a 6" LCD screen for $49 the other day. Shipping was another $5. Wonderful bargain for $54 and I hooked it up to my portable dvd player and I have a cinema system in my car :)

After reading many positive reviews here I decided to place an order w/ Outpost.com. The order process was quite easy and I promptly received an e-mail confirming my order. I needed the order quickly so I chose next day air as my preferred shipping method. After 3 days I contacted them to why my order was not received. I was told that my CC was declined and that they sent an e-mail to me. I found this odd as I never received any such e-mail and I've used my CC every day since I placed my order. After receiving such poor service and communication, I will never deal w/ Outpost.com again. I'll stick w/ Newegg.com for all my future computing needs.

I've ordered many times over the past 4 years with outpost.com and I've never had any problems with the at all. There have been times when I've order something overnight and received it less than 24 after ordering. The best online store for PC hardware, software, games, DVD, ect... Great service!

Very poor experience. I was expecting a lot from this company based on the ratings I found at this site. I placed an order on June 27 for a PlayStation 2 with a game and memory card as a gift for my father's birthday. I received a confirmation email saying my order had been received and was being processed. All the items were marked "in stock - same day shipping", so I thought it would have no problem reaching my dad for his birthday (a week later). Wrong. It turns out they had a credit card number on file for me from a few years ago. The number was the same but the original card had expired. So part of the blame may be mine, but the gist of the story is that after six days of waiting, they NEVER contacted me to tell me that my order was not going through because they couldn't verify the credit card. I finally called customer service to see what was up, which is when they told me the news that I had not even been billed. I was furious that they had not contacted me about the billing issue right away, but I remained polite on the phone. The representative I spoke with was very curt and not apologetic at all. I will not order from Outpost again.

Outstanding service.

After getting jerked over at qbitpc.com, I found resellerratings.com and wound up ordering a Soyo Fire Dragon motherboard from Outpost. It was $loads cheaper than any other place I could find.  
Ordered on a Wednesday about noon, paid $8.25 for 2nd-day shipping to Indiana. Figured I'd be lucky to have it by Monday. However, it was waiting for me when I got home from work on Friday! Cheap shipping that actually delivered! Everything was in great shape.  
It would have been nice to be able to see more useful order status/shipping info, but I forgive that stuff real quick when the best price I can find quickly gets delivered cheaply too. Nice.

Ordered a SMC7004ABR Barricade 4-Port 10/100Mbps Broadband Router from Outpost on 6/7. Outpost claimed it was in-stock and the price was correct (approximately one-third the price of other online sites.)  
 
On 6/11, I receive 2 emails. The first email, claims Outpost is "out of stock," and the second email, claimed "I cancelled the order" which is a crock of crap.  
 
Now I remember why I hate this retailer. The previous time I purchased an item (Yamaha FW CD drive) from them, they sent me an EMPTY BOX (okay, not quite empty ... several bags of air pillows).

I ordered a refurbished Nomad Jukebox 6GB. There website indicated the item was in stock. Two days later they informed me it was not in stock. I kept my order with them bacause they said they might get more in stock. Two weeks later they cancelled my order, stating that the product was no longer available from the manufacturer. I checked there website five days after this and the Nomad Jukebox was listed again as in stock. It was also $30.00 more than when I ordered it. It seems like they cancelled my order because they did not want honor my contract for the lower price.

Always ordered from Outpost for International shipping.

Great price and fast shipping.

They are Great. Im ticked off why outpost isnt #1. Almost every order can be overnight shipped for under 10 bux. I mean Overnight, over today, no matter what time, 11:59 pm, get it tomorrow at 10 am. I love ordering from this place. The tech guy Keith is so awesome I called him like 20 times in 1 day and each time hes better than before. Great prices, great shipping this company deserves a 10.

I ordered 2 1 gig Durons with 2 ECS K7S5A motherboards as part of a package deal. I got my Durons quickly, but my motherboards are "backordered". This was a special, and I cannot understand how they think that they can sell products that they do not have.  
 
I called them and asked them when they would send the motherboards. They could not give me a date. So, I suggested that perhaps I could change my order to something else that they do have. The Rep. said no! There was nothing he could do...  
 
I also noticed that they have only billed me for the Durons, not the motherboards. However, the "discount" that I got with this package deal seems to be subtracted from the price of the motherboards, not the processors. The processors were not discounted much. Essentially, what they have done is fooled me into purchasing 2 Durons, and I won't see any of the discount I was counting on until I get my motherboards (IF I get my motherboards).  
 
I have called them a few times, and did follow up with a letter. We will see how this develops.  
 
My advice to everyone, beware of these shady "backorder" business practices.  
 
FOLLOW-UP  
I sent a letter (I am an attorney, so I used some legal persuasion), and when I called to follow-up, they told me that my motherboards were being shipped that day. I don't know if it was my letter or if they just got a shipment of the motherboards in, but they are on the way!  
 
The sad thing is that this experience has colored my view of them. Besides a slight delay, this was a good transaction. The price was very good, and everything else was good, too. But the backorder thing, and the way they refused to accomodate me by allowing me to change my order, was not good.  
 
Too bad. I would otherwise recommend them.
