DO NOT SHOP HERE! I ordered a laptop from their website. I tried to call customer service while I was waiting for the order but after being on hold 30 mins plus gave up. When I received the order I found the product was misrepresented as having a built-in TV tuner (it didn't). I emailed to complain and a week later was told I had to call. After trying twice and giving up after an hour, the third time was the charm--it only took about 30 mins or so. The rep I spoke to was apologetic, acknowledged that the website said it had a tuner, and promised to pass my complaint on to the dept. head and see what could be done to compensate me. I never heard anything, and after several more times trying to call & long wait times, I decided to dispute the charge with Mastercard--figured THAT would get me resolution. All I wanted was a free $50 or so external tv tuner! I won the dispute because Fry's ignored it--and within a week of winning, their collections department started threatening to sue me! After about two months of emails I was again told the matter would be turned over to the department, and I never heard anything for six months--after which I once again got the same collection letters! This time I emailed them all the previous correspondence, and I haven't heard from them since. I don't care what they have to sell or how good of a deal it is, I would never buy even a pack of gum from them ever again. They have by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced!

This company is a bunch of retarded thieves and liars. I obtained a RMA for unopened software, which I returned to them in the exact same condition that I received it. They got it back, but credited me for only half of the amount that I paid to them. No explanation was provided until nearly a month later, after I contacted Frys 2 times. They've now come up with the ridiculous lie that their warehouse told them that the software was opened with the UPC and seal cut out. This is simply outright theft by Frys. This is only one of the problems that I had with this order. I don't have time to go into the deficient customer "service" that this company "provides." They rely on technicalities that aren't clearly noted on their web-site and which I think they pulled out of their hairy ass.

I ordered the boxed Q6600 from Fry's. I was shocked and so upset that in late March 2008, I can still get a crap B3 stepping from market! This is totally unbelieveable! Q6600@B3 stepping can be considered as a TOTALLY different product as Q6600@g0 stepping. Fry's should have indicated on its website if it is g0 or B3. I definitely would NOT order it if I knew it is a B3. Fry's refuse to accept return or exchange even if I have not opened the boxed CPU. It's still in new condition! While other more reputable e-retailor like amazon.com and newwegg.com all accept CPU returns. Bad services from Fry's, buyer shal be aware of this!

SCAM!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SCAMMING COMPANY!!
I ordered a APPLE IPOD TOUCH 8GB. Fry's had it listed for $60 less than any other vendor. I read reviews here saying that Fry's/Outpost would say an item is in stock and then say it wasn't....or delay shipping on and on and on. This is exactly what happened to me!!
The item was listed as shipping the same day and that it was in stock. The sales "Sandra" assured me it would ship later that day and I would have the 3-5 business days. By the way, I was told by a number of customer service reps that my item would "ship later that day" each time I called to check on the status of my order...DON'T BELIEVE THEM UNTIL YOU GET A TRACKING ORDER!!
I would most likely call the BBB for misleading sales practices.
Fry's does not empower their employees to help consumers and their managers are too busy doing whatever and not helping customers.
**** DON'T WASTE ANY TIME WITH THIS LYING SCAMMING COMPANY ****.

Ordered and paid for a 52" LCD HDTV on 12/10/07, shipping scheduled for 12/19/07. On 1/30/08, after way too many excuses from Outpost.com Customer Support, I finally canceled the order and paid $300 more from a local competitor.
In summary:
1) Took two weeks to declare my TV lost; Fry's, Outpost and their shipping agent do not communicate with one another; I always had to call them for status. Outpost Customer Support had no idea my TV was not delivered on time.
2) Took another two weeks to compete lost review (was promised an expedited process - didn't happen, again, had to call them every day for status).
3) By this time they ran out of stock and had to back order, had to wait another two weeks.
4) Backorder arrived 1 day later than promised, and the approval to ship my TV sat on Store Mgrs desk for another week; found this out after I called and spoke with 3 different Customer Support staff. On 1/30/08, I finally cancelled my order.
5) Was promised an immediate credit; had to call and argue with Customer Support for three more days until they agreed to finally process the credit.
6) With the exception of the final day, NO ONE FROM FRY's OR OUTPOST EVER CALLED ME OR RETURNED MY NUMEROUS CALLS OVER 7 WEEKS
7) I left message, emails, asked for "management" to return my calls --- nothing, nothing and nothing. Worst Customer Support organization I've ever experienced in my life!
HOW CAN THEY STILL BE IN BUSINESS???

This online store's sales practices have recently begun bordering on fraud.
3 of our last 4 orders placed have been canceled citing some eronious "manufacturer discontinued product"/ no longer available - why would an online store 1) say the item is "in stock and ready to ship" and LET you order it if it is DISCONTINUED? Attempting to sell product you do not HAVE is FRAUD. Some would think it seems like a scheme to get customer sign ups and credit card numbers? I am seriously questioning this company's ability to provide product to its "customers"- of which I seriously am debating no longer being one. Frys needs to properly track their online ordering system to their inventory like a REAL company and quit pulling this "by the seat of our pants" "sell it and let it ride" garbage. Fry's has to be one of the worst places I have ever tried to buy from. This is twice now, I have placed an order, received an invoice for said order, and then a day or two later receive an email with an excuse as to why they can't ship my item. It's the last time I will ever make a purchase from them, as they never have fulfilled any order I have placed with them. If you don't have an item in stock, update your website, or do NOT accept payment from my credit card!!!! There is no reason whatsoever to accept payment, and then later claim you no longer have the item in stock, due to low supplies in your warehouse. Never again will you ever see money from me. Customer lost for life.

1. Ordered Uniden A1DECT1060-2 Dual Handset DECT.
2. Receved items, and found out items were defected. Dead on Delivery.
-1st Head Set; Menu Setting Error(can not set)
-2nd Head Set; Key pad Malfuction(can not call)
3. 3 Emails were sent to Frys CS for request replacement or full refund.
4. Frys CS said
-No matter what happened, 15% restocking fee will be charged.
-Does not cover return shipping even though they sold DOA product.
-For replacement, I have to place new order and return DOA item with my charge. After confirm return, they will refund credit.
5. Regarding warranty, should send letter to their office, not email, phone or fax.
Wow... what kind of customer service they provide!!!
I sent 3 emails regarding this problem and got just one automated email with "NAME of CS'" without any specific solution. They sold Defective product.
How can I claim this 'slick' Frys?

Placed an order for a TV on the 23rd online. Got the confirmation next day, 3 days later got the back order letter, no mention of cancellation anywhere. I've called the customer service inquired about the order several times, and was told several different version of the stories about my order. One of the customer service rep actually lied to me and told me that the manufacture has discontinued the TV and that they are no longer going to receive anymore of the unit (mind you this tv was release in august of this year); another one of the customer service rep basically told me that fry's (outpost.com) NEVER had any intentions to honor the price, and all the orders would get cancelled. AFter fed with so many different versions of the stories, I decided to wait it out, and 18 days after I placed the order, I got the cancellation email. Apparently another lie that one of the customer service rep told me was that they would sent out an email to all the back orders and offered another TV as replacement, so there I was waiting for that email, well the email never came then my order was cancelled; people from some online forums mentioned that they will only offer the replacement if you called. I'm done doing business with fry's, very shady retailer, and horrible customer service. This review was modified by its author, silverav6, on

I purchased a Samsung LNT1954H online at a very good price. Next day I got an e-mail, your order is "in process". Next day, e-mail saying the TV is back ordered. I called customer service, they said the TV is out of stock, won't be in until Dec 13th, a few days later customer service said the TV won't be in stock until Dec 17th. A few days later, I called for an update, this time they said they have no idea when the TV will be back in stock. I cancelled the order after I read all of the negative reviews about Fry's, such as sending out DOA stuff, refurbished TV's sold as new, sticking the customer with the return shipping charges, delays in processing a credit, etc. The local Fry's retail store has 5 in stock but will not fullfill the online order. The store manager laughed when I told him what the online price was. He knew this order would not be filled. Needless to say, I will never do business with this company again, that's for sure and I strongly suggest anyone reading this: Beware of Fry's.. This review was modified by its author, gtobob, on

Ordered an in-stock TV from the store on 11/23. Told it'd be about a week. Two weeks later, item is on "indefinite backorder" and has been for over a week. No information on website, hour-plus hold times to speak to a human, obviously lacking stock control / availability info.

I ordered the LG 22" LCD on black friday. I got the shipment a few days late due to Frys forgotting to put in my apartment unit on the address. I had to call DHL to personally let them know my unit #.
The LCD was not brand new, it has smudges and finger prints all over them. What worse, it was Dead On Arrival. I called them and asked if I can return to the store they said no; I have to ship it back to them. The item is backordered so they have to wait till they get back the faulty lcd AND when they get it in stock again to send me a replacement. I called again to make sure they note that it was not brand new as advertised. CSR said it's not their fault - I'm sorry I bought this from you, IT IS YOUR FAULT. I was pretty pissed by then. So we'll see if they ever replace this item to me else I will contact my cc company and maybe even the BBB.

I ordered TomTom One 3rd Edision from Frys.com on Thanks giving. Order confirmation email came about 12 hours late. Understandable since a lot of people did online shopping. However it went on back order 2 days later. I called CSR twice and the earliest shipping date is Dec 21. I asked them what they have been doing to improve the situation. Nothing except sending me email telling it is on back order, which was a lie and I didn't get the email. The most outrageous thing is TomTom One 3rd ed bundle still shows available for same time shipping at Frys.com. Irresponsible retailer. Whatelse to say...
BTW it is really hard to talk to a CSR, need a waiting time of at least 15 mins.

Ordered several things from the Fry's Outpost Black Friday sale, I haven't ordered from them in a while and forgot to update my credit card on file with them. 24 hours later I get an email saying the Credit Card charge was declined and to please contact them to re-instate the order.
I call Fry's who told me they cannot re-instate orders. I explained that really doesn't make sense and the email I received from your company even says to call you to "reinstate" the order. Needless to say I wanted to speak with a manager but none were available.
I was told I would receive a call back within the hour. All the managers must be really swamped because it's been a couple days. Lesson learned, make sure you double check your account information before ordering, because Fry's does not empower their employees to help consumers and their managers are too busy doing whatever and not helping customers.
A note to any Fry's employees that read this, have management update your emails that are sent to customers to accurately reflect that you do not "reinstate" orders.

I ordered the 22" LG with INSTOCK and ready for delivery for $199. The company sent me a complete order mail and 5 hours later the company cancel my order and stated no stock!!! Because of the improper treatment, I have loss the other monitor that I intended to buy. This company is showing no respect to customers by wasting customer's time and deal! I don't think I will go back to this company anymore. If you want to place an order from this company, make sure that you may not get the item even it shows INSTOCK. So, my advise is go to somewhere else unless you want to play your luck with this unreasonable company.
